*Posters are put up all around the Elven lands*

GsT33MG.png

*Ryder continues walking around the land, speaking her words of peace to all that would stop to listen*

My People. My kin. What has happened to us?What happened to the elves of old? What happened to the elves who lived as one? Now we live in hatred and fear of each other, while our leaders squabble over their differences, our people are dying in the streets of this world.
There was a time where our differences were not a problem, but it is not this time. Now we are faced with an ultimatum. Unite, or Die. For Oren's wrath will not end with the Mali'aheral. They will decieve you, and they have decieved the leaders of Cerulin. They will ease you into a sense of security and then they will strike.

I look to the leaders of Cerulin, to try once more for peace. You state that your hatred of Kalenz is keeping away peace. But is your hatred truly worth the pain of your people? You save us from the clutches of Kalenz, and throw us to a greater enemy.

In the beginning there was ONE elf. Malin, our father. We are acting like savages, and abandoning our fellow elves in their time of need. OUR brothers and sisters need us, yet you refuse to try and negotiate the terms of the Emerald Dominion. You have given up on elvendom. Leaders of Cerulin, I will state once more. You do NOT deserve to wear your ears. You are no more than Valah. For even Oren has the decency to help their fellow man.
Apart, we are but three branches of a tree. We cannot hold the weight of an army on our backs. Yet together we are one tree. Unbreaking, unfaltering to the wind.

That is the only way our race can survive now. As one.
Apart. We face death.
The Mali'aheral have offered us an opportunity of peace. Fight for it.

Ramza smiles to Ryder in her speech.

"I think everyone wants everlasting peace, Sister"

Isabella snickers, kicking her feet up and munching popcorn in the tavern nearby as she just listens.

Uniting with the high elves. She wonders who sent this nutjob.

Trundle frowns as he listens in. "Interesting tactic, insulting us and then asking us to unite..."

Azel stands before one such poster, reading it as others may gather about him. He tilts his head to the side as he continues to read it, nodding slowly. After a moment, he turns away, shaking his head, a sad smile tugging at his gray lips. The mali'ker pulls his cloak tight around him and looks to the others.

"Though joining together once more would be wise, barriers of racism and hatred must be torn down. Not just between our elvish kin, but between all of the descendants. Malin had three siblings, which the benefactor of these posters has decided to ignore for the sake of putting down Oren. Aye, Oren has done much in the past that would be considered bad, but so have we all. We must put aside all our differences. If we strike at Oren, they crush us. It is better to reach an alliance between all elves, and then reach out to the other descendants and make peace with them as well."

With that, Azel turns from the crowd and trudges off, sighing.

Bring back Malinor!
Says an old elf, in sentinel armor.

"Fools like this are the reason for weakness. On a small scale, some of the guards call them 'White Knights'. People who would interfere with justice.

Of all the possible routes to protect my people in these uneasy times, joining forces with the murderers who's days are numbered by Oren seems to be the most idiotic of them."

Ac'Aelu sighs, before walking away.

Alirya burst into shrieking, furious, laughter

"I told them! Did they listen? No! The only way the high elves will be saved is if they loose their 'blessed' status and their teachings that caused this rift in the first place!"

Arnorian applauds the excellent artwork, but also the message itself.

"We're not lifting a finger to help the high elves and anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past few years or so shouldn't have to be explained to why we aren't."

One would find a response.

"This is so offensively ignorant I must laugh to keep from crying. What happened to the elves who lived as one? The Mali'aheral left them and betrayed them to the Chivays, the greatest threat to elven kind the world has ever seen. Why do we live in fear and hatred? Why has Oren turned against us?

Because of the Mali'aheral.

Blame those who kidnapped innocents, filled their eyes with molten gold, and threw them from a cliff. Blame those who would look at a child of pure elven parentage who has the wrong color of eyes and kill them by dissolution in burning acid. Blame those who think peace can be achieved by demanding that a people turn over those deemed 'impure' or having the misfortune of bearing high elven blood. Blame those who would invite their fellow elves to a diplomatic meeting and, when their terms for 'peace' are not accepted, murder and mutilate those diplomats in the middle of their council chamber. Blame those who would be so utterly stupid that they kill - in the most horrific way - the sovereign of the very nation whose support gave them the ability to act with such brazen arrogance in the first place. Blame those poor, poor fools who claim to be good people yet are either so blind, stupid, or fearful that they will sit idly by while a madman runs their nation into the ground.

You are correct in your choice of the word savage. The Mali'aheral are savage. To compare them to an Orc would be an unforgivable insult to the Orcs. The Mali'aheral abandoned their elven-ness long ago, and now they are no more than foul beasts. Their form and features may appear elven, but their minds and souls are tainted and twisted by whatever vile magic festers in their revered golden pools. They are no kin to elves, and are deserving of nothing but death.

The Mali'aheral do not extend peace. They seek domination. They have betrayed their only ally, and peer into the face of their own doom. Let this high elven sun set so that the world may finally be at peace. If shadows fall on the rest of us, so be it. A new sun will dawn and it will have been worth it all."

((That's a very lovely picture, though.

"I suppose if your fine with dying by yourselves rather than opposing the conquest that is to be had. If I survive and the human army then turns its attention to you, I will crawl bleeding and half dead to your city just to say I told you so." says Orsino letting out a heavy sigh "Oh and do remind the artist of that lovely poster to also paint the bodies of the Aheral innocent which will be neatly lined up on the walls with their throats slit and ears removed."

Cheza admires the artwork for a bit before reading the poster. Her ears flick and she points out "They didn't address the topic of impures. The aheral want the impures given up or at least kicked out of elven lands. Cerulin won't do this. It's rather hard to find peace among the three elven races until this issue is taken care of."

"An 'innocent' who stands by and does nothing while evil is ennacted is no innocent at all. Aside from Avern'dionne, who waited until the very last precious second, no one stood against Kalenz. None of you are innocent.

If this war results in the destruction of all elven society, but the Silver Law is never mentioned without scorn on the speaker's lips I will look back on this day and say.... it was worth it."

Margaery would shake her head, a light grin appearing on her face "They do not seem to understand that Oren only seeks to crush the aheral, not the ker or ame."
