KarmaDelta 969 Share Posted March 18, 2015 To be frank, like others said, the taking away of nexus regions that people are still able to hold seems pretty bad. Is this all because someone just got back from being banned and made a feedback thread about it? Im sure Druids would love to claim land just to pretty up the place and make some sort of nature preserve, along with a few others who think up of good aesthetics. mitto 2312 Share Posted March 18, 2015 This really shouldn't be a thing... If someone is legitimately able to hold onto a region they should be able to do what they want with it, including leaving it as natural land. I agree, also in the case in which the owner could be banned for a while. It would probably be a huge slap in the face if they log on and everything they own is gone. It would probably be a huge slap in the face if they log on and everything they own is gone. Then they shouldn't have been banned. I built a tower that took me five days to build, had very valuable items in the chest, only to lose it when I get back. Yeah, I was pissed for an hour, but I got over it. hearth_ 1023 Share Posted March 18, 2015 This does not sound very healthy for the server at all, giving a GM the ability to ban based on assumption, to be blunt, is utter bullshiet.
Samler 1565 Share Posted March 18, 2015 This is all nice and dandy with all the different rules getting their own post BUT, then pressing on the 'rules' thingy next to 'forums', can it link you to a post which links to each of those rule-posts or something like? He's right, you guys make a lot of modifications but don't update the rules page.
Priceflash 832 Share Posted March 18, 2015 I personally think Urasept should have stayed inactive because this announcement seems mostly negative for the server. pls revert

Space 2335 Share Posted March 19, 2015 I feel like the server is slowly moving towards giving GM ultimate power to ban shape the server how THEY see fit. Like, banning people for anything. I think it was some french philosopher that 'created' this concept, but there's a name for a system of law where basically anything you do could be perceived as punishable, so you have to live in perpetual fear of ever pissing someone off because you know how easy it is to fabricate a charge or whatever against you. I think it's self explanatory why that system is bad. I feel like LotC is moving towards that type of situation. We have the common sense rule set, which kinda seems like you could bend and get someone banned due to how malleable common sense seems to be. Then we have this hazily defined rule against 'Toxic memes, toxic satire,' which I don't think has gotten a proper definition yet,and therefore could apply to a lot of different situations. Oh, and all our numerous un-written rules, or the rules that get changed with no announcement and such. That's not to say that I think that the GMs are inherently corrupt and will take advantage of this lax set of definitions. Just the opposite, really. I think most people wouldn't dedicate all their time to moderating this server just so they could f with people they didn't like. But this 'loophole' is there.

ski_king3 0 Share Posted March 19, 2015 This does not sound very healthy for the server at all, giving a GM the ability to ban based on assumption, to be blunt, is utter bullshiet. The reason they did it is because some banned players who were particularly toxic have well known alt accounts, yet are very good at covering their tracks well, leading to GM's not taking action due to lack of proof. There are players who have literally bought accounts like "FlayAlt" while banned that couldn't be punished because there was a lack of evidence proving they were an alt, even though it was entirely clear they were alts. I disagree with the PM decision still, but whatever. It seems like it was considered at the least, and I still feel like it hurts the staff more than anyone, so no real reason to complain. Sister Sequoia 438 Share Posted March 19, 2015 this is so useless. you cant have a second minecraft account. unless i'm reading this wrong then please word it better. in terms of nexus plots, i cant wait for even more keeps in oren! t.gmteam You can have multiple accounts, that is not the issue. The issue is finding accounts being used by banned players. I have 4 accounts, you're not going to be banned for having multiple accounts.

Blundermore 2741 Share Posted March 19, 2015 "I HAVE A RIGHT TO FREEDOM! MURICA MURICA MURICA MURICA!" It's a minecraft server, they can ban whoever the hell they want, you're all quite fortunate that it's a more lenient system than most other servers. Other servers would just ban you for talking out of turn like half the posts here, why? Because **** you, that's why. Quite a few people here are suffering from a severe case of naivety... ^Most people posting atm...^ *Disappears in a cloud of smoke just as the hate flames start*
