"I HAVE A RIGHT TO FREEDOM! MURICA MURICA MURICA MURICA!"

It's a minecraft server, they can ban whoever the hell they want, you're all quite fortunate that it's a more lenient system than most other servers. Other servers would just ban you for talking out of turn like half the posts here, why? Because **** you, that's why.

Quite a few people here are suffering from a severe case of naivety...

^Most people posting atm...^

*Disappears in a cloud of smoke just as the hate flames start*

I try to be open to all view points, but come on man. The minecraft server is meant for the players. You have a bunch of GMs or admins or whatever power tripping over each other if you didn't have a playerbase. So why would you not listen to the feedback and opinions of the people that he server is meant for?

Just because the owners have the ability to run the server as a complete dictatorship doesn't mean they should, I think.

The 'if you don't like it leave' point of view is so... Cancerous to the server. That's a sure-fire way for the server to dwindle to an average population of 5.

Apologize if I sounded a bit mean, y'know, #passion.

blunderlad why havent you been banned for toxicity you try and antagonize every time a post like this is made and just claim "im just being smart!!" as your excuse.

Completely silly.

*runs away haha xD!!!*

Back onto topic:

The GM plot decision is, as Ricky had said, super detrimental to any sort of largely organized faction. I understand the use of Nexus plots for the allowance of those smaller "niche" sort of groups to live, but placing them in the middle of nations and having GMs just determine a plot based on their own judgement of inactivity is just silly! Why have an automated activity check if a GM can just go "Yeah it's active but not active enough for me...". It leaves way too much room for interpretation, and that can easily be exploited and abused by the staff (because we all know it will happen; no one has the iron willpower to remain wholly unbiased).

The rest of the shid is just normal stuff tbh the PMs thing makes sense to avoid completely simplified versions of metagaming and disgusting dirty ugly cyber-sex fiends; the suspicion of bans is pretty dystopian feeling but the GMs have been banning for those reasons long before it was made a rule so disputing the [god-given] norm that the staff has already been doing is just pointless.

I really like the new nexus rule, however I agree with one point here. GMs should not be able to be able to just say, "Yeah it's not active /enough/." Though the question "Is it being used, or just being held by people who never use it at all basically."

Thanks you for allowing VPNs, my college often blocks /certain/  things and once in a while this server somehow gets caught in the mix. I'm also glad you aren't removing the filters on PMs +1

I feel like the server is slowly moving towards giving GM ultimate power to ban shape the server how THEY see fit. Like, banning people for anything.

I think it was some french philosopher that 'created' this concept, but there's a name for a system of law where basically anything you do could be perceived as punishable, so you have to live in perpetual fear of ever pissing someone off because you know how easy it is to fabricate a charge or whatever against you. I think it's self explanatory why that system is bad.

I feel like LotC is moving towards that type of situation. We have the common sense rule set, which kinda seems like you could bend and get someone banned due to how malleable common sense seems to be. Then we have this hazily defined rule against 'Toxic memes, toxic satire,' which I don't think has gotten a proper definition yet,and therefore could apply to a lot of different situations. Oh, and all our numerous un-written rules, or the rules that get changed with no announcement and such.

That's not to say that I think that the GMs are inherently corrupt and will take advantage of this lax set of definitions. Just the opposite, really. I think most people wouldn't dedicate all their time to moderating this server just so they could f with people they didn't like. But this 'loophole' is there.

Hehe... It's called communism... Hehe... It works... Hehe...

Basically a final note on things. The idea is that in Oren (my example) it is supposed to be a feudalism Nobility/military dominated society with few at the top and many below. It is the basic fundamental of our society. So if these plots are freely given out and shared out that is just Marxism and a total blunder to most of the major groups on the server. They are top down societies and can only grow and increase their quality of RP through centralisation. Oren is moving in this Direction I know for a fact. So the cluster of plots complicates the Issue.

For example in Savoy they have effectively centralised all RP to Luvaraden by holding most of the plots around them for either the Nobility of Savoy to have their family and servants (only) or to be held so that they are not used by others and begin to take from their RP. The rest of humanity is beginning to do this and now the GM's are trying to go against this. The distribution of Land to the peasants with no standing as it is dilutes and cases us more problems.

It is also worth noting that the wilds are there for the very purpose of people having their own land. We should not have to be punished and cramped into a corner because YOU screwed up the map!

Why do we even have Nexus plugins if the GMs are just going to be like "lol u r abuse the system guiz"? The system worked fine how it was. Why even have plots if you're going to try to decentralize roleplay, when the point of plots is to centralize roleplay?

oh wait high elven gms took over staffteam now i c

All insults aside I really think GMs should stop meddling with stuff that the don't need to touch.

This really shouldn't be a thing... If someone is legitimately able to hold onto a region they should be able to do what they want with it, including leaving it as natural land.

Bird makes quite the point.

Nexus plots- GMs can and will discuss a plot if it is not being utilized for more than holding land. Should an agreement come to pass that it is this way they can motion to revoke ownership of the plot to open the land up for someone else to use it. If this happens and chests or materials will be considered forfeit and will be claimable by the new plot owner. Again this is for land that is not being used for more than holding land.

If this is the case a gm better not have the power to claim it for some god forbid purpose

We all know that something will mess upw ith this ^.

What's the mod that allows you write over the character limit then allows you to deliver them all at once?
