I actually hate the ego boosting system lol. The only paragon at any time I pay headance to is the super ancient dwain 1st paragon of being a fat lazy problem drinker by insisting that its bad luck to not finish your ale. 

 

Hey if you think about it he created dwarven love of ale and our culture of eating and drinking and a love of fighting (not so much as others but still)

 

We picked our ancient paragons long ago for a specific reason and people wish to go along and change them. Ok have fun with that, doesnt mean rply I will follow it.

I wouldn't say he spawned it as much as the personification of it. In the super ancient dwarven view I don't think he was, I think he was just around during the founding of the first kingdom with the void magics and maybe good skills as a lazy fat man clan father.

Keep in mind that the iterations of the religion changed a lot from super ancient hate spree of celestial presence apparent in the very beginning of the Empire of Khorvad to the liberal politically corrupt Kirkja Dverga that existed for over 1500 years afterwards that every text slowly and appointment slowly corrupted more to the point where we forgot our entire history and point of our religion.

The lore also added in a lot from the openly bland and boring Aegis lore with no room for expansion to what is shaping up to be very good but terribly terribly horribly implemented dwarven lore of current days. ((Literally, they call this map ''centered towards dwarves'' but we had false Ironborn that made no sense, less than a hour in our most racially important location ever, our LM's walk out on us with our current LM claiming "We are not worthy of their attention", our racial magic scrapped for 8 months and growing and ''Removed from a supported race'' for a month. We now stand on a lack of interaction in any noteable manner by any standing staff lore/event since November.))

I challenge the paragon system as a whole for being just a ''I am a better character then you and you were insignificant.'' Its always a OOC decision.

He failed to perform is function, he attempted with a lot of effort but ultimately it was futile.

I do however propose Vorstag for notable dwarves. He was king twice, made such a impact in the fringe war for a week that [for some reason] we no longer consider it a lost war. He also recovered the armour of Urguan.

Rhewen Frostbeard, rekindled the frostbeard clan (succesfully, no offence other guys, but yeah), the only dwarf to properly rock a pelt and kilt, possibly the greatest bagpipe player in all of Athera, and absolutely badass and totally sexy ;) (don't forget he's hella ripped)

I would say he is due to his recent actions and troubles he has caused for the kingdom.

He has stolen armor, and is believe to be insane. He also has a cult following, those being his clan mates and a few others.

 

People should know who he is though.

 

 

Also, as I said before, feel free to change what I have. It's no way set in stone, I was just trying to get stuff going so people can change it and everything.

While not sure if sarcastic or not... I do actually sort of agree. The concepts of heros and paragons should be used far more often as they are a very distinct, unique, and interesting parts of dwarven culture. Sure it might lead to some over inflated egos and other things like that.... but it still brings more RP. Lets look back at Kjell. Near the end of Kjells life he just lorded his paragon-ship over people. At the time, I found it a bit annoying... but looking back on it, it was just another unique avenue of RP. Here was this figure revered in dwarven culture that people looked up to... basically acting like a child as his mind deteriorated over time. It was fun, it was unique. I would personally LOVE to see new legion grunts stare in awe as Grand King Balek walks by with noted hero so and so. Now, everyone just acts so nonchalantly about everything. 

 

Part of having a good culture is recognizing the past. Part of the past is historical and prominent figures. Recognize them more.

I agree with this, he started a rebellion which hasn't been done in ages, founding the underkingdom which worked with the Ironborn to take the capital. In all honesty, we shouldn't do this primarily of the fact that every Dwarf thinks their character should be on it, therefore the list shouldn't be done at all, but as a member of the wiki team I'll add it once you guys decide who should be in it and who shouldn't. ;)

All that hobo added to it was to add overseers, a minor version of lord's council, after he even told me he wanted the circle jerk back. And I has skype logs of these. TBH, Hodir's the only one to thank for the Ord-Umar.

Yes, I do remember reading his post about bringing them in, but, excuse me since I am just grabbing at stuff here since I do not know how far he got since he pk'd, Hobo ended up putting it to better use. So yes, Hodir could be added as a stepping stone into what I call the Golden Age of the Dwarves since Balek revitalized everything and so far does not have a corrupted senate. He brought back the guilds, which Hodir didn't do, he brought back proper housing, actual shops, among other architectural things.

 

So for Hodir, he would be seen, as I said before, the door into the Golden Age which Balek went through to further Dwarven interests.

There will always be differing opinions because some people liked each other and others hated each others guts. The topic is way too controversial to be made specific. Unless there is a definite person that everyone agrees on we will never come to a decision whatsoever. I mean.. We are dwarves
