Resolution of Land Dispute

To the north of the Duchy of Akovia in the southern heartlands of Oren, an independent band of dwarves led by Dizzy Irongrinder has taken up residence on good Orenian land in close proximity to the Barony of Kazarmir. Weary of the wrongful apprehension of human soil and the potential for racial and military tensions given its proximity to the western King’s Road, the Baron Kazimir Vladov and his lordly cousin Duke Franz Vladov, as liason to the crown, approached the dwarven land owner to discuss a diplomatic future between their two settlements.

Given that the land was rightfully within the demesne of Oren, and that illegal occupation of such was grounds for war, concessions were sought from the Irongrinder camp in exchange for the land’s use. It was determined following peaceful negotiations that the Irongrinder camp, which has renounced formal affiliation with the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, is to receive protection by and right to use the land of the Reformed Kingdom of Oren. In exchange, the Orenian protectors will, after providing sufficient crafting materials, be privileged with tribute of three masterfully smithed carbarum dwarven warhammers each Saint’s Week, a tribute befitting the artisanal dwarven camp. This exchange will further the growing tide of Orenian prosperity and military exceptionalism, solve the dispute over land ownership, and provide a settlement in refuge from Urguani corruption the protection of honorable Orenian men.

Smiling broadly, Publius says, "Thankfully, we'll be solving a land dispute with the rest of the dwarves this weekend!"

Zahrer sits quietly at the desk in his private quarters. In one hand he holds a large mug of ale, and in the other he holds the announcement of the resolution. The only sound in the room is the crackle of the fire as he reads over it slowly before sliding a gold coin to the messenger and dismissing him. With brief consideration to burn the copy, he sets it gently atop the growing pile of correspondence that litters his desk.
