In response to the hostilities and immediate loss of three vessels of the fleet. All ship retreat back to controlled waters to regroup and prepare for the Senate to come up with a proper response. As such, while the Military is put on alert a delegation is sent to the island in an attempt to communicate with the natives to attempt to cool down this apparent miscommunication of the Expedition. The Navy makes breakthroughs to assist in naval battles, as well as too help stop such ambushes that sunk 3 frigates in an earlier battle.

The Republic of Kuanesh

 

 

On Nampale, the army regulars arrive and continue to construct permanent defenses for the new territory. AA guns, bunkers and shore guns are erected, so that the garrison will be ready for a potential counterattack in the future. By the time civilians arrive from the core islands to exploit the land, there is a fully functioning naval base and the army is quite comfortably stationed. The Eastern Fleet regularly patrols the surrounding waters for enemies or pirates.
 
Similarly, the Mangolis have become far more developed, and several significant ports fly the Kuanese flag in various places in the chain. The kingdom that inhabits the largest island begins to see more and more steamships visit the area, most of them Kuanese, but some fly the flag of Eichii. It is a time of great change in the Mangolis, and the large force of marines stationed there has become well-acquainted with them. Plans are put in motion to construct a proper naval base there as well.
 
The four corvettes are completed and join the unassigned navy back at Kuanesh, where orders arrive quickly. They are to take half of the 20 thousand marines now returning from Nampale, and sail west. The time has come for further expansion, and the republic will not see the Pacific become some other nation's playground. The southern islands would be colonized, and brought under Kuanese sway quickly. The fleet itself consists of 2 cruisers, 1 destroyer, 1 frigate and 7 corvettes.

 

The intruders on the soil of Imana Jun are a scouting mission from the Kuanese army. When local forces meet them, it becomes obvious that they too follow Asian military doctrine, based on the similarities in their uniforms.

 

What brought them here is as of yet unknown, but they make no attempt to hide their identity, declaring their place of origin and expressing an intention to establish diplomatic relations. Their presence may have something to do with the influx of Indonesian immigrants to the area, but obviously nothing is known. The soldiers are soon led into the interior, and the events that transpire next could have major effects on both countries...

Imana Jùn

 

News of a foreign scouting group was most peculiar but not completely unforeseen. While Imana lacked official diplomatic ties with its surrounding neighbors, trade was still facilitated. Through this, they received news of on going worldly events. The near constant trickle of island immigrants often brought news of what was known to be the nation of Kuanesh, though knowledge of the nation was still lacking. When the foreign scouts docked in the port city of Haumi, the local army garrison along with city officials soon arrived to meet them. After a brief exchange they found that these soldiers spoke Islander. Upon the arrival of an immigrant interpreter, the scout force was led off under the watchful eye of Imanese soldiers and sent to the capital via railroad. News spreads like wild fire, many seeing this as a sign that Imana would pursue open relations with its neighbors.

 

Upon entering the capital city of Mimori the scout force is greeted by the site of vast industrial complexes of the city. They are taken to the Grand Palace, finally meeting the Junshou and his council within the parliamentary building. His voice cutting through the air like a knife, Junshou Iwamori Qin Xi spoke.

"Good evening my most esteemed guests. I hope my fair city has treated you well. I am most apologetic about the rather long ride on the locomotive, but the coast is quite far from the capital as you have seen. As our guests we would love to show you around our grand state, but there are more pressing matters to attend to. Your arrival has caused quite a stir, and more good reason. We have had only the bare minimum of contact with outside nations, and yours is the first to directly contact us for anything other then handing off trade goods. So speak of what you've come for, there is plenty to say." Though his accent was perhaps a bit thick, it would do for now. He had no wish for silly things like translators anyways.

With the arrival of foreign scouts, a shifting attitude among the common folk could be witnessed. Imana was not alone in this large and dangerous world, and so would need further protection. It no longer sufficed to simply shut itself from the worlds view. Instead, Imana would need to build a basis on which to stand, a grand army.

 

Training of the Imanaese Army continues throughout the nation. jungle warfare is heavily emphasized for a portion of the army.

 

Both the need for more land and resources was a driving factor in Imana's expansion policy. But effectively maintaining the dense jungles and wetlands would be difficult without a proper military presence.

Due to a need for both a better way to traverse the vast jungle wetland of Truncatis' interior and a way to propel Imana's land capabilities, Ishikawa Motor Industries was directed to develop such a vehicle under strict regulations and parameters. The Sokukyo is fitted with medium density plating, 70 mm canon, a secondary turret, specialized treads, and an assortment of equipment within the interior. Coupling speed, mobility, and firepower, the Sokukyo would be a deadly force within the interior.

Mod Post

The envoy sent to the island by the Amerigans arrives on a seemingly lonesome, empty beach where only the remains of the dead naval hulks rest ominously on the shore as though they were there to warn new arrivals. The envoy would move for several yards into the thick brush when suddenly a large machination appears from the forest. Walking slowly toward the group, a massive read beam moves out and scans the group. A light, solemn voice emits from the machine though it sounds rough and broken.



"Intelligence detect-d.... neural (computer noises) do not find hostile.... proceed."

The massive metallic creatures marches back off into the forest, a low electronic hum can be heard as the envoy pushes deeper into the tall trees beyond the coast. The hum grows to a roar as the brush ends and a small silver dome is seen lodged between a pair of trees. Inside a light glows, but no creatures nor people come out to greet them. Beyond the structure, far off in the hills of the large island, a great metallic object can be seen. 



One of the group's members, a scientist and one of the President's top advisors on pre-Nightfall artifacts, stares in awe at the scene. Right before him is one of the most pristine pre-collapse sites has ever been seen. Pulling a looking glass from his pocket, the man kneels down and looks out into the hills. He nearly falls in shock at what he sees.

Resting just beyond the horizon is a massive hulk, what some might call a chariot of the gods, massive engines poke up into the sky while nature has begun to swallow the rest of the materials. It was a ship and on the side in what appeared to be pre-A.N English, was written name:

As the explorations around the island continued though, no humans could be found, only dead metal. The turrets that opened fire upon their ships were old and rusted and upon further examination many seemed totally broken from the recent firefight. Light electrical hums can still be heard from these turrets, but are for the most part totally disabled. 

The envoy had two decisions - explore the wreck and dome, or leave and tell the Amerigan government of their findings.

United Amerigo Envoy

The Envoy decides it'd be best to push on and see what they can discover, The Delegates along with their small marine escort begin to explore, catalog, and record their findings.

 

The Captain of the envoy frigate attempts to make radio contact with the homeland to tell the High command what they have discovered, but it appears something on the island is interfering with the radio, Its up to fate as to what happens now.

Mod Post

As the expedition pushes onward, the Captain chooses to push on toward the colossal, abandoned wreck of the ship. As the team approaches, they find that the strucutre is much more massive than it appeared from afar. The engines cut high into the sky even further than some of the largest buildings in the Republic. The electronic hums from further back on the island have all but faded and only the sound of animal life crawling about the massive metallic wreck can be heard. The team begins to climb into the wreck, exploring the old vessel.

As they crawl into the depths of the old wreck through old shafts and past long eroded turret bays, the expedition finds hardly anything. Just as the men begin to lose hope at finding anything, a man pushes into an open door and suddenly lights flicker on. While most either do not work or are too dim to see, red emergency lights and sirens blare through the ship. As they walk further through the ship, human bones, humans who were much taller and seemed to be more healthy, could be found throughout the location. 

One of the crew members finds a staircase and the group begins to ascend, the lights growing heavier as they approach the top. When they reach the top, the group pushes through a sealed titanium door and into a room filled with light and seats. Screens shine with orange and yellow light reading "WARNING" and "REACTOR MELTDOWN IMMINENT." None of the crew could figure out what this meant though and the group looked around for paper and more physical items, but they could find none of it. 

A crewman approached a large terminal in front of a chair that was placed in the middle of the room. He pressed several buttons and the screen illuminated, a soft voice speaking to him. "Welcome back to the Jovian Clipper Captain. It's been far too long since our last meeting. Status report following:

Shielding - Critical Failure

Estimated time to critical meltdown: 3 hours 27 Minutes and 19...18 seconds

The resulting meltdown will result in explosion equivalent to four hiroshima bombs, Captain. The cooling systems were critically broken due to external weather phenomena. Please undertake immediate repairs or get this ship off world."

The screen before the man illuminates with a file titled "Imperial Report - July 2356." The file is opened and reading begins, an option to print a hard copy is given and the man clicks yes. A stack of paper files roll out before him, spewing themselves on the floor.

Soon after, the men decide that there is nothing left for them to find on the ship and disembark, heading back towards the silver dome. The men have a choice, leave the ship or otherwise leave the island to report back their findings.

The Euro-Windsorian Confederation

 

VICTORY. The topic became the flavour of the month for many media outlets throughout the Confederation, but was to become the biggest political standoff for the years to come. As Waelicia, a country that was attacked by the (then) Kingdom of Windsoria succumbed due to the eventual European offensive, surrendered.

 

 

Although the Windsorian delegation hoped for a full annexation of the island, the Europeans did not feel like being oppressed any longer. The island, was split in two, leaving Windsoria with literally a half of its goal completed. The meanwhile southern expedition succeeded as well, giving Europa sudden control of the western European waters. This outraged Windsorian delegates, though it was an obstacle not worth breaking the Confederation, and the Concordat for. With the military retreating to their respective bases, an overwhelming sense of invincibility swept over the Confederation. Although the political scene was sour, the population was festive and demanding. They wanted this, to be just the beginning.

 

The only other nation in the Peninsula not under Concordat flags, was Eyerland. Although suspiciously left alone in the beginning, people still were surprised when the Chairman Gerard Masaryk called an assembly meeting with the topic "Eeyerland".

 

 

"Fellow compatriots of the Confederation,

 

Today I come to address you about a very delicate matter, that being the presence of the Eeyerland state within our peninsula. Although our Ministry of Foreign affairs issued a policy of co-existence with them, the state faces the necessity to change this policy after the following reports have been received.

 

Our western expedition have discovered ships with Windsorian flags, yet with no Windsorian registration, raiding coastal settlements. These ships are identified to be Eeyerish, considering how no other nation would ever imposter the old Windsorian navy but their only historical enemy.

 

Reports indicate that they posses the former premier Julian Gaston Trudeau and his cabinet as political prisoners. It is the moral responsibility of the confederation to bring safety and prosperity to its people, not to abandon them in some prison camp overseas. We will do everything within our capacities to return our beloved citizens from the backward nation of Green. Eeyerland has two possibilities: Either open negotations with the Confederation to solve this matter diplomatically, or war. Merci beaucoup everyone, that would be all."

 

 

With the Confederate movie enterprise leading the entirety of the world, the "European Motion Pictures.INC" and "Windfilms.INC" corporations had a monopoly on all nations buying equipment to film and process movies. To establish their dominance in a ceremonial manner, a Movie Festival was going to be held in Lauria. Every nation was invited to present their own movie, and could win a price of 10.000 and potential diplomatic deals with the Concordat/Confederation.

IMPERIAL REPORT - JULY 2357
Good tidings pilots of the British Empire,

The tragic death of Queen Elizabeth IV on Atlantis has resulted in the crowning of a new king, her young son George V of the House of Windsor. His coronation will take place in Neo-London on the planet of Europa at 7:00 in the morning Imperial Standard Time. It will be required to be broadcast to all crews currently serving our empire in the stars.

Another more pressing matter is the letters of Last Resort. The old Queen Elizabeth’s letters are to be destroyed immediately. They are not to be read on the threat of termination on the basis of treason with death being a possible penalty. King George’s letters will be sent out soon via courier, so do not worry.

Reports are reaching us that the United Terran Republic on Venus have officially collapsed. The fledgling settlers had requested our aid several times but despite our best efforts to aid the project, the terraforming effort has failed. At 9:36PM IST on June 21, 2357 the atmosphere had a high level of toxicity and the ecosystems in place began to collapse. Nearly every human being on the planet died instantly. The remaining fleet has scuttled itself above the planet, while a few have made the decision to try their luck on Earth.

Toxicity reports from Earth have arrived from the most recent “Legacy II” probe, sent to the surface three months ago to this day. The reports indicate that the air surrounding the old city of London is completely unbreathable and no life can be sustained on the isles. From satellite observations, we can see some light human activity beneath the surface thanks to thermal imaging, but nothing substantial. Life on the planet will not be able to take hold for at least another two millennia.

Once again we must implore our captains to encourage their staff to push onward. While things do seem grim at the moment, the sun has not yet set on our Empire. We will prevail. Though terraforming projects have not done us well so far, the Empire has the resources and more importantly the will to carry on.

Inform your crew members to disregard the information that has been supposedly leaked from our lunar colony. The reports of supply shortages in the outer colonies have been severely exaggerated and the Empire still maintains the resources to maintain the strength of our reserve.

Scouts on Mars have yet to see exactly what the Vers Empire has been up to. Though they lost most of their colonial possessions long ago, they have grown to encompass nearly all of the Martian surface, including the destruction of our own outpost on the planet. War may yet be a possibility if the Vers do not begin to cooperate.

The messenger would return from the colonists, bringing their answer to the demands of both the Noctem Republic and the Empire.

 

The Empire will respect the Republic of Campestribus’ desire to keep the colonies, in return, the Republic shall not move any further east.

 

Ezekias would then order for 10,000 soldiers, along with 5,000 willing civilians to embark via steamboat to the large island off the east coast of Africa.

 

 

Ezekias would also order for 60,000 soldiers to expand the Empire’s borders.

 

 

Construction would also begin on a National Stock Exchange (-25,000 Rands).

The Duke watched from his throne as the noble Sanguine walked down the main aisle. It had been 2 years since Sanguine was dispatched to take over the lands south of the mountains that originally composed the duchy.  He had completed his task and done it spectacularly,  he replaced the chaos that came from the wilderness and in its place arose order from the keep he had built. It was time to properly reward such a man for his noble actions.

 

Sanguine knelt in front of his duke and Logar proceeded to make him vow to forever serve the Utor family and Fenris. When this was done Logar told Sanguine to rise up now as Marquess Sanguine of the Delton March. The ceremony then lasted for a few hours but during it the Duke retreated to his private chambers to meet with his scientist Baron Jacques. The Baron then began his report” Sire the armor is done, our knights will have the most advanced body protection in the hole world, although not able to resist multiple bullets or high caliber bullets it will allow them to resist minor to moderate damage fairly well.” The Duke smiled and was about the dismiss the scientists when he began to speak again “  Sire our knights have the armor but they still lack their mighty steeds and with that I would like to propose the following” Jacques laid down a carefully thought out blueprints and you could see the eyes of the duke light up.

 

After this meeting the Duke sent a message to Count Russ who was currently at the coast trying to bring new land into the fold. The letter ordered the Count to go to the Commonwealth and represent the Duchy. After this the Duke went over his to his balcony and gazed at the base of the mountain where his knights were training with their new armor, he smiled as he saw them and thought to himself “Order would once again come back to our world

Inventor: Baron Jacuqes

Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph): A single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft, its main role is to act as a fighter craft but more importantly as a mount for the Knights of the Duchy of Fenris. Its engine has a water cooling system that allows the plane to fly at greater speeds without the risk of overheating.  Another distinct  characteristic would be that it is a well armored craft, made almost entirely out of metal. The main tipe is equipped with a canon that excels at taking down enemy crafts but its variants also include a machine gun designed to target ground threats.

Transmedian Republic

The landing group of 20,000 men reach Graecia, waiting to see what they might find. [MOD]

Meanwhile at home, the Consul coordinates efforts to invade the neighboring isle of Alexandria. The 15,000 of the 20,000 men that had embarked on the Graecian expedition would be utilized in the strike, allowing for the remaining 5,000 on Graecia to pacify any attempt at resistance on the island. [MOD]

The 27 ships sent out into the Western Transmedian quickly smash what pirate resistance they find, establishing a perimeter on the strait. They coordinate with the Campestribus ships, preparing to make some sort of move. On the continent, a trade post is built to ensure the strength of the Republic on Europa. The other 20,000 men on the continent push forward, expanding the Transmedian frontier along the coast.



A Transmedian expedition also lands on the north eastern tip of Africa with 10,000 men and other sorts of equipment, seizing the land and constructing a trade post there.



Total trade values continue to expand as the coffers of the Republic begin to fill accordingly. (41,250 Drakes per turn from trade from routes Z, Y, V, P, N, O, AA)

The Envoys return to the Republic with the news, The few officers and delegates ordered to keep this info from getting out, the Documents are taken by the Minister of War and are kept under lock and key, they are dubbed Top Secret and only a select few take note of knowledge of the documents.

The Republic continues to flourish, while a ceremony is held to remember those who died in the expedition. The Senate moves to increase military power after receiving the reports from the expedition.

Republic of Andor

 

Things were looking rather bleak in the tiny mountain republic. Morgase Trakand stayed cooped up in her tower, planning, always planning. The balance of order hung on a knife's edge, and anything could tip it either way. For now their recently emerged neighbors are ignored. They were probably puppets, to be manipulated by Morgase's true enemy. However she hoped they would end this violence, she was not one for war.

 

And so, the Tazmund raiding navy is let off scotch free. Besides giving back the stolen 5,000 dubloons, and captured villagers. They would also have to pay reparations in the form of 1,000 dubloons. Morgase insist a non aggression pact is signed, so they don't waste their strength on each other.

 

As for the Kuanesh, the fighting does not escalate. That would just lead to more death, and a lot of fertilizer for the jungle trees. Morgase knew she was not totally lost if it was to come to wars. Those curs could be beat if they tried hard enough. Atheist, Andorans believed in logic more then any superstitious fears or hopes. It was logical to end the violence before anything got worse, not to hope to win a war. And so, the Andorans send a ambassadorial Zeppelin group to Kuanesh.

 

With eight newly made Andoran battle zeppelins, and three royal transports, they made a stately procession. The battle zeppelins had protected hulls and balloons, making it much harder to kill. They could be outfitted with bomb bays, or keep their rotational anti air guns on the main deck. So far the only two types finalized were the bomber and standard fighter, but great thinkers were working. The model researched was not a specific type, but a frame upon which to build multiple types. The parts were cunning, the initial zeppelins having complex parts only made in Andor.

 

The Queen's royal advisor, twelve senators, five Dragoon officers, twelve army officers, twenty commoners, and one very scared ape made up the procession. They broadcasted their message of peace ahead, and asked to meet the Kuanesh government in person. They would allow to be stopped before the meeting to be throughly checked for weapons. The Andoran senate and Queen wished to have peace, and would be willing to work with the Kuanesh to a lesser extent. They would not bow, or agree with any outrageous terms. Peace and partnership was what was wanted.

 

The Andorans had been preparing for a big event, and that was now. Three separate large scaled expeditions are sent. The Andorans were dispatching large convoys of Zeppelins, to transplant colonies to the east coast of Amerigo. The middle colony would be the largest expedition. Eight thousand soldiers and one thousand Dragoons are sent with the colonist to ensure it would not fall out of Andoran hands. The two colonies in the north and south would be smaller, with three thousand troops and five hundred Dragoons to complement them. The three expeditions would not just travel in huge vulnerable masses. They would instead travel in smaller convoys, protected by battle zeppelins. Soldiers would arrive first, them colonist, then all the supplies and building material. They would travel the slower but safe route north. (Pok Plz)

Swordcoast Protectorate

 

With trade and such going on throughout the Republic, another thirty thousand pesos is collected for the national treasury, bringing funding for the nation up to 125,000 pesos.

 

However, this boutiful treasury is soon drained partially on the construction and establishment of a national stock exchange in the main port city of the Protectorate; Swordbearer's Rise. (-25,000)

 

As well, a factory is constructed to produce the Swordbearer's Wrath, an odd compound that burns even when doused. It is seen as a manifestation of God's fury on this earth by the people of the Protectorate, and production is conducted in a very religious and meticulous process to make sure every batch of God's righteous fury is produced correctly. Esteban's public approval is very high, and he is a likely candidate for the next High Priest of the state's religion. (-50,000)

 

A shrewd theologist could surmise that the "Swordbearer" religion worshipped in the Protectorate is a sect of the Machination, dating back to a simpler time when the idea of a world machine couldn't have been thought of. The markings on the old-world artefact centric to this particular sect of the Machination had depicted blades along the device, taken to be an emblem of God. The tenets and beliefs of the two religions correlated in many ways.

 

However, the Swordcoast Protectorate would not stand for being a minority.

 

Missionaries are sent out amongst the world, spreading the word of God to it's varying people. Some travel to Vrak, some to Oceanus, and some travel to the Protectorate's trade partner, the Republic of Andor. Wherever they go, they attempt to convert the locals to the Swordcoast sect of the Machination.
