Few know of the Long Night anymore. It has become but a distant memory in the minds of our people who have endured so much pain and suffering to come to where we are now. Our collective records speak of vast cities and sprawling armies, mankind had conquered the land and sea and had just begun to reach up into the stars. Then something happened. Our historians constantly speculate about what the terror might have been. Some suggest it was a natural phenomena, that mankind had ripped apart mother Earth and the long night began during a complete environmental collapse. Others suggest something more sinister, a device or weapon so strong that it brought humankind to its knees. But we survived and for thousands of years we rebuilt and reconquered our Earth.

As the Long Night came to a close, the scattered tribes of man came together to form new civilizations. They developed new sorts of governments, invented new tools and weapons, and wars were fought over sovereignty for the first time since before the Long Night. Kingdoms rose and fell¹, great castles and cities were constructed and technology went from simple swords and hand to hand weaponry to the invention of the rifle at the dawn of the 9th Century A.N.². As mankind progressed, so did its capacity for war but also its collective interest in what came before them. Many hoped to harness the power of the pre-collapse civilizations and invested huge sums of their wealth into searching for clues from the past. All of these efforts have failed though with the occasional activation of a First Age weapon that horrifies those who unearth it, but the technology is far too complex to reverse engineer, for now. Even more fascinating to humans in the Second Era is the tales of their descendents who conquered the many planets surrounding their own. Every few decades, massive debris de-orbit from Earth in a grand fashion. Telescopes, invented in the early 2nd Century A.N. detected huge hulks of metal³ resting above the Earth. These were known as the Chariots of Man and many great epics were written about First Age Man’s ascent into the stars.

FRP SCENARIO

The year is 1400 A.N. Humans are entering into a strange new era, the Age of Electricity⁴. It has been about 50 years since Alfred Wolcott invented the first electric engine and now the world is hooked. Electric automobiles fill the streets of every major city, new roads are built every day and man has never been more connected than now. Old methods of travel like the steam powered railways that criss-cross entire continents and zeppelins are slowly being rolled back as the aeroplane and automobile become widely available to the public. Militaries have yet to truly utilize the devices, but many are testing or already have tested ways to utilize the new technology to its full potential.

The history of humans in the Second Age up until now has been one of relative calm. While wars have been waged and diseases endured, nothing serious has hindered the progress of these new civilizations. No ‘World Wars’ have ever been fought and national diplomacy is still in its infancy, many just now developing systems such as capitalism, communism, and fascism.

Many military thesis and doctrines have been written in the Second Age, though none are really able to stand up to the new technology today. War has come a long way on Earth since the first civilizations but with the new power that electricity and steam bring to the battlefield, there is no telling what nations will come up with when they inevitably clash on the fields of war.

1- This is a reference to the completely new era of mankind that has taken place since the new age of civilization. This new generation of humans has went through it’s own periods of antiquity/renaissance/industrial era (note there is no medieval period because no event on par with the decline of the Roman Empire ends the Antiquity in this new Era)

2 - A.N. stands for After Nightfall. This does not mean after the immediate conclusion of our FRP though. Year 1 A.N is about 3,000 years after the first nuclear bombs were dropped by our Empires.

3 - Referencing the great battle above Earth led by the combined fleets of mankind against Hera. These ships were the very same ones who clashed as Earth bathed in Nuclear fire. Those that survived quickly died as they lost the ability to dock at home stations. It also references the collapse of ALL END-GAME SPACE EMPIRES due to a lack of resources coming from the homeworld, Earth. These Empires were mostly colonial and were dependent on food and water. Some lasted longer than others, but all eventually succumbed to failure at one point or another.

4 - Electricity is about 100 years old (in terms of real application). There is no oil in this scenario, we basically used it all and none of the stuff has really been reproduced in any alternative way. All power comes from electricity, steam, or coal. Mankind has invented incredibly efficient batteries and that is how they manage to power such things as cars/planes/trains. Massive charging stations (an alternative to gas stations) are commonplace in most nations. The other methods of energy have become more and more outdated, though steam is still fairly common in older railway cars and those who want a nostalgic zeppelin ride. Coal has its uses in the power plants that keep the lights on in many cities.

Gran Republicate duc Campestribus

Grand Republic of Campestribus

The Grand Republic of Campestribus was founded many years ago by various merchant cities in the isle of planicia. After The War of the Spices between various trading cities banded together making Del Uniunem duc Sul (The Union of the South), a union of trade, mainly focused on monopolizing the trade in the region. The Union grew and even started small trading colonies across the world, their motto being “The riches must flow.”, they traded with about anyone willing.

After the Union of the South grew richer and richer and the cities in the north were getting starved of trade by their bigger sisters they reluctantly joined the Union. Finally creating the Gran Republicate duc Camepestribus, a new flag was commissioned (top), with the flags of the two major cities (Valenza and Sancta Isabela) and the cross of Saint George an archaic symbol of the old power known as “The British Imperium” a mysterious power house of old.

 

 

After the fall of the bombs and the retardation of civilization only one prominent organization truly stayed in the shred of civilization, that being the remnants of the Catholic Church. With the old city of Rome destroyed a new and prominent city rose, Novum Roman, New Rome. This was the last shred of civilization in the southern half of Planicia, thus it is now called Pieatas Mater or Pious Mother, since the trading cities were born from Novum Roman. Thus neo-Catholicism is the official religion of the state, although there has been a sharp increase in religious freedom in Campestribus.

The turn of the century has began, and also the Campestribian election. A man named Joan Valentinianus (a prominent mercantile family) as won the elections, although many suspect him of bribery to major councillors (councillors have double votes) and ministers (triple votes), yet no one truly has the courage to speak up.

 

 

Joan speaks to the council of ministers and councillors:

 

“Salve friends, minister, councillors and people of Campestribus,

Today you’ve elected me, and I shan't fail you. For years now our trade power as decreased, our motto has been defrocked of it’s true meaning! For too many years have we stood watch and done nothing as power hungry dogs of other nations have ripped our trading empire apart, but not today! Today, we stand! Today we recover our former glory! The riches must flow!

 

With the help of God we shall forge a new life, not only for us for the other nations of the world! We shall teach them our culture to better the world! From Windsoria too Afrikaania they shall, from now on, know the name of the Gran Republicate duc Campestribus!”

Gustavo, being a wealthy man decided to try and refine it. The refinement process makes it highly volatile, but, with a special engine it can be used in vehicles, as well, with some tinkering, normal coal generators but instead of coal the refined oil can be used.

The European Federation

The European Federation was founded upon the principles of Unity and Diversity. After 80 years of starvation due to repetitive harvest failures and piracy in the northern region, the affected states sought unity to overcome their obstacles. The L'Union Nord was founded as the last of the Chattonier dynasty, Phillipe Georges Chattonier II, became the king of the union.

Shortly after the foundation of L’Union Nord, King Phillipe issued a declaration of war against Windsoria over the ever lasting dispute of sea borders. This led to the La guerre Triple (The Triple War), which the Union lost twice. The third attempt was a decisive victory, but due to the returned starvation and poverty after the war many statesmen decided to end the Union by declaring themselves independent.  King Phillipe was executed on the balcony of his palace, the Chattonier dynasty forever ended.

 

 

 

With the 5 respective northern states in utter anarchy, the statesmen became desperate to solve the internal struggle with the lack of actual centralized rule.  Unable to re-establish a monarchy with no royalty remaining and being a Windsorian vassal out of the question, a new idea was sought in the Palace d’Marchand of the former king.

But then came Pierre Royan, a former political prisoner of  King Phillipe with the philosophy of “Evropianism”. It would be the ideal of a former powerful civilization before the nightfall, even long before the myths of Afrika and Kalifa. Through unity and diversity, they would have been the most advanced and influential nations of that era. Coated in fable and romance, the idea of a similar ‘Evropian Union’ was more than appealing to the desperate delegates.

 

 

Pierre lead the Evropian initiative to an immense success. The statesmen denounced their claim of independence as a federative constitution was adopted, written by Pierre himself. The European Federation was founded, but was still very loose and at the brink of civil war.

Only 7 years later, the first Premier of Europa died of a stroke in his summer home. The first election of the state that followed were sincerely disorganized and chaotic which caused various scandals to come to light. Only after two re-elections the victor was decided: Julian Gaston Trudeau.

 

 

The European Federation

The dust surrounding the first elections settled down. All that followed were silent prayers and fatigued gazes of hope from the crowds eyeing the new premier walking towards the microphone. An odd sense of sorrow, perhaps even melancholy, was felt. Many didn’t know what to expect from the new premier, or this democracy.

 

The Federation held its breath as the premier began:

“Greetings mon camarades,

Our nation today, beautiful with its youth, stands in front of despicable crossroads that we have never anticipated.  The choices that we, as a people, will have to make for the very survival of our Federation will be hard ones. But as I have entered office merely an hour ago, I have never been so hopeful.

Our farms wield crops once again, our youth shall not fight a war like our forefathers did in La guerre Triple and no king to delude us. Mon camarades, let us embrace this opportunity and appreciate the great contribution of my predecessor Monsieur Royan for creating an idea of hope and prosperity. May we spread the sentiment of unity, of brotherhood and peace to all those around us. Let it be the Windsorians of the north or our cueilleurs d'Orange of the south! Let us hope that the spirits of these Evropians look at us in envy, wishing that they had their civilization as good as ours. Mon camarades, Avançons !”

 

The new cabinet following the Premier went to work as various industries were refurbished to meet the national criteria. Missives to Windsoria were delivered with a formal apology on the Triple war and the request for economic talks in the European capital, Gascogne. The Premier meanwhile goes to Campestribus for negotiations about a potential alliance.

 

 

With the Premier gone, the state is mobilized to renovate its military and infrastructure.  As drafts are made throughout the country, a proper bridge system is set up to quickly mobilize the army east if necessary. {3 pages}  In order to maintain a proper army, national recruitment centers are made throughout the country.

 

The national currency is set to “Fontaine”, with the average national salary of 1200 Fontaine’s. Due to the current lack of any material, coins are not yet produced for the currency.

 

 

With this established, the government orders the construction of various trading hubs throughout the country. These markets will distribute the immense agricultural wealth of the south much better.

However, the south remained a painful thorn in the eye of the state. The island was not under full control of Triple forces, which was a troublesome fact. The troops were mobilized southwards as the Premier Julian would inform the Southeron Republique that this was to claim the unclaimed territory, not their own.

The citizens of the United Amerigo Republic went about their simple daily lives. Farms covering the outskirts of the metropolis capital city of Lansing. Within the States center capital building the Senate works diligently at working towards the progress of the State.

 

The UAR makes regular radio broadcasts to its people informing them of the on-going debates within the Senate. The State of the nation along with regular news broadcasts of happenings throughout the UAR.

 

At the coastal Grayling Military Base and Port, a new Airplane Factory is being constructed to bring more assets for the military. As the Senate demands better security for the State. ((3 Pages))

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF WINDSORIA

 

 

As King George the XXI stood on the balcony of the Imperial Palace in Londinium, he began to think about his nation and how he would guide it in the days to come.

 

Windsoria had always been a proud land, full of hard workers, scientists, soldiers, idealists, and traders alike. The four isles of Windsoria (Angscot, Mann, Halley, and Greenwich) had been united under the Royal House of Windsor almost 1200 years earlier, forming not only a Kingdom, but a United Kingdom of islands with similar cultures. Thoughout antiquity, this Kingdom of Islands played a prominent role in Western Evropa's history and development, alongside the nations of Campestribus and the Union.

 

 

The Legend of the Imperium had been a very well-respected and widely believed myth throughout the regions of Planicia and Britannia, further adding to the pride of the Windsorian people. They were (supposedly) the heirs to a great empire that, they claimed, had once covered almost a third of the world. The fact that many of the world's nations shared a culture very similar to their own helped to bolster this belief.

 

But now, as Windsoria became overcrowded with people, the Kingdom had begun to outgrow its territory. Expansion was needed, as well as new resources to support the Kingdom's population.

 

Therefore, Windsoria begins to explore some of the surrounding islands, intending to make contact with their local populations if need be. A small squadron of steamships is dispatched, along with a detachment of 7,500 Marines to the Island of Waelicia southeast of the largest island in Britannia, Angscot. The Island had remained undisturbed for many hundreds of years, and Windsorian intelligence lacks knowledge of what's on the island. However, through force or diplomacy, the King is intent on dragging the island into the United Kingdom.

 

 

Meanwhile, the King gives a speech over national radio about the importance of technology, diplomacy, and expansion:

 

"My people,

 

Today I address you over the wireless to explain the importance of what your government is doing, and I urge you for your support in accomplishing it's goals.

 

Recently, we have sent an expedition to the Island of Waelicia, a land of uncertainty and isolation, in order to attempt to bring it into the Kingdom. Mythology states that not only was Britannia once truly united, but it owned up to a third of the world under the guise of a great Imperium known as the British Empire. Quite personally, I believe these myths to be true due to the cultural and linguistic similarities we share with many of the nations of the world, though of course they cannot be proven.

 

We must expand, as our population booms! As our small group of islands become more and more crowded and, eventually, more devoid of resources, we will require more and more land to fulfill our needs. It is best to begin expansion now than to wait until we face this issues not two centimeters in front of our noses! And furthermore, to do this, we must put aside our differences with the Commonwealth.

 

Therefore, I urge you to pressure your Members of the Assembly to accept my policies and my leaderships in the days to come.

As the Commonwealth diplomats arrive in Lauria, the capital city of Windsoria on Angscot Island, they are greeted cordially and are allowed to initiate talks concerning an economic alliance assuming that the Commonwealth turns a blind eye towards their expansionism in the Britannic Isles. They would also be willing to discuss a possible research agreement between their two nations.

 

A delegation is also sent to Campestribus, requesting a trading agreement be formed between their two nations, as well as a possible research pact.

 

Windsorian authorities also wish to open trading routes with the Empire of Oceania, whose nation they consider to be a "long lost cousin" to their own, sending a delegation across the Great Ocean via Zeppelin to discuss this matter with the Emperor. They also wish to discuss a possible naval alliance between the Empire and the United Kingdom so that they, together, might rule the seas.

Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph): Ever since the invention of the airplane, the Windsorians have realized it's potential in the field of combat. However, most planes still have a limited range, putting Windsoria's air force at a disadvantage regarding overseas conflicts. But with new technology, it has been hypothesized that an aircraft carrier could easily remedy this predicament. A zeppelin could easily accomplish this task, able to stay in the air for up to two months at a time and easily refuelable from the deck of a ship or at a port. Hence the research and development of this class of ship by the Windsorian government. After talks with the Campestribius government, it may also be decided to make the ship run off of their new whale oil, as well as off of an emergency electric battery if need be in the spirit of mutual cooperation.

"By the sword, we shall live"

 

Around 640 A.N.

The High Priest of the Swordbearer, He who shall Bring Light upon the World, kneeled upon a beach, blade in hand, praying to his god for a sign that dawn would come once more. Beset by hordes of pirates, known mostly as "scum" or "blade fodder" amongst other derogatory terms, have begun making gains upon the Coast of Iron, and have almost neared the central city of his tribe's holdings. He rose from his stance, and looked across the beach for a sign of his god.

 

 

 

Unusually, he spotted one. An odd device, barely sticking out of the sand as the waves pulled away some sand. The priest called over some diggers, and they excavated the object. A long-disabled artifact of the old world, it seemed. It had a reflective black circle sticking out of the side, and was painted black and embossed with the icon of a blade upon it. He had found a sign from his god that dawn was to come for his people at long last.

 

 

 

1400 A.N.

Swordbearer's Hearth, Swordcoast Protectorate

 

A man stood in the center of a pit, a blade created by one of, if not the finest smith in all of the Protectorate in his hand, purchased with a large sum of money just prior for this occasion. In front of him stood the Chairman of the Protectorate, a man whose name Vincenzo thought would soon be irrelevant, at least after this duel. Vincenzo sought power, but with what limited resource he had, he would seek to gain it through whatever means are easily reachable. Cutting a bloody swath through the chain of command, from lord over a cadet branch of a minor land-holding tribe to the second-in-command of the Protectorate, a nearly five-year chain of dueling victories would come to a climax today.

 

The old Chairman, while prior was an acclaimed duelist himself, had grown rusty and old with him not practicing the discipline. The lowborn cheered the name of his challenger, and even some of the bourgeois that didn't have people of power defeated by the challenger did too. Vincenso's lust for power was something that had always worried the Chairman, but the risk had never been so close until  weeks ago when his young and fit second had been defeated. Alas, the Chairman thought, that he must at least try to stop this long chain. But he didn't think he'd be successful in that goal.

 

And he was not. Vincenso soon stood victorious over the Chairman, blade at his throat, and the Chairman's heirloom dueling sword knocked far away from his person. Vincenzo planted his sword deep enough in the dirt to stay upright, and then proceeded to pull a red tassel off his belt and throw it upon the defeated Chairman. At this motion, three men strode forth from the margins of the dueling pit, and grabbed the Chairman before hauling him off to a large pyramid, an obvious place of worship.

 

 

The old Chairman was dragged up the stairs, and lain in front of the Swordbearer's Focus, an old-world artifact used to beseech the Bringer of Unity and Herald of the Dawn. Vincenzo was handed a plain iron sword by an attending priest, and then was instructed to grasp the scruff of the Chairman's neck, state a short prayer to his God, and slay the man with a blade through the heart, all tasks he has conducted prior. In this ritual manner Vincenzo Alatorre inherited the position of the man slain, and was now ruler over the Swordcoast Protectorate with support of the people, the church, and the state.

Vincenzo orders a reconstruction of the rotting excuse for infrastructure the prior Chairman left for the Swordcoast Protectorate to better develop intranational and international trade (Construction of National Trade Hubs -25,000 Swordcoast Protectorate Pesos)

 

Vincenzo orders that fifty thousand troops be trained up to fight as elite soldiers, and another fifty thousand be trained by the rules of the united minor and major island tribes as militiamen to shore up defense.

The Transmedian Republic
A History of The Isles
For the first few centuries A.N, the Transmedian Sea seemed unconquerable. The rough surf and waves filled with horrifying debris from the Long Night had granted it the nickname ‘Sea of Bones’ from the native Transmedian islanders. Awful conditions and horrible stories of tragedy at sea were commonplace on the waves and scattered tribes fought for what little resources could be found in the Transmedian Islands, a cluster of islands and atolls named for the sea which they are located.

The native peoples of these islands were subject to constant harassment and violent incursions by people of the mainland, ‘Evropians,’ as they came to call themselves. For centuries the tribes were weak and broken, but in the 7th Century A.N, a powerful Kingdom rose from the largest island in the cluster, Helena, and quickly set about uniting the isles. For 300 years the Kingdom of Helena reigned with absolute rule over the island peoples. Its kings brutally subjugated peoples and invoked horrible revenge against those who had once lashed out against them. When one on the continent of Evropa spotted the signature blue and grey sails of the Royal Navy fear often paralyzed them as they knew the terror that crept over the soft blue horizon.

In 937 A.N, a terrible plague struck the island and crippled the effectiveness of the absolute monarch, Johan VIII, and pushed the Kingdom to the brink of collapse. It was during this time of horrible death and confusion that a separatist movement, led by Caesar Borja, rose in the eastern isles of the Transmedians, crushing the loyalists forces of the regime and declaring themselves once more independent.

The next 300 years would be some of the darkest on the island of Helena. What the disease didn’t kill, the horrible storms that followed did. Snow was not common in the isles, but the elders speak of decades where the snow would not stop falling on the island and the seas turned the color of red for entire seasons of the year. Helena and the Transmedians became a hellish place to live and the population of the islands fell sharply. The storms and environmental disasters began to subside in the late 1100s, but by then it was too late. The Kingdom of Helena collapsed.

It wasn’t until 1289 A.N that a trio of like minded individuals, now known as the Grand Triumvirate, quickly gained political power and recruited a strong military to support their power grab. After the fall of the Kingdom, a weak parliament had been established with equal representation being arranged among zones of Helena. This was known as the Helena Commonwealth and was nothing but a fledgling failure. The Grand Triumvirate set out to collapse the Commonwealth, successfully, and established a republic only in name dubbed “The Transmedian Republic.” For the past century the Republic has steadily rebuilt and retooled, preparing itself for unification of the entire Transmedian cluster.

The Consul announces the construction of a National Trade Hub (-25,000 Drakes) to begin immediately. He argues that it will provide a number of well paying jobs to those skilled enough to read, write, and do arithmetic The Grand Admiral, not to be outdone by his equal, announces the construction of an Aeroplane Factory (-50,000 Drakes) to utilize the new technology for the navy.

Duke Logar Utor looked below at the mountain valley that was his demesne. He smiled as he witnessed the counts stroll into his mountain hold. It had been hundreds of years since the first duke of Fenris took the mountain as his seat of power. An ancient military base from a far forgotten civilisation was at the heart of the mountain and through the years house Utor had expanded deep inside the mountain, making a city out of the mountain. In honor of the first Duke the mountain was called Tourhai. Hundreds of thousands lived in this mountain city and called it home. Tunnels connected the many different districts, with the nobility having the higher levels while the lowborn naturally living at the base of the mountain, closer to their main livelihood, the mines. At the top was of course the keep of the Duke. The invention of electricity had clearly changed life in the duchy, the noble district was now constantly lit up and in the deep mines one could see some sort of machine working furiously.

Today was supposed to be a ceremonial day, Logars father had recently died and passed down the crown. The vassals of the Duke were now to come to Tourhai and pay their respects to their new lord. The Utor family was founded from a warrior clan and took these lands with the intent of bringing order to the world, but through the years the counts changed the natural order of things and ruled freely, disrespecting the authority of their Duke. And now they say an opportunity with the young Duke Logar. To take the power  and replace the Duke, a good plan and it would have worked if the Duke was the lesser man they thought he was. But he was not and neither were his allies.

 

The Counts climbed the mountain home of the Utor family, passing through the many levels of the city. The tunnel streets were empty and the emblem of Fenris hung from the windows, a small parade was expected but all the counts received was the stares of the lowborn, this was an unneeded distraction during this times of changes. When the Counts finally arrived at the Dukes keep they were greeted with Logar sitting atop his throne with a smile on his face. The counts of house Nix, Russ, Kor all came forward with their personal retinues. The ones from house Kor and Nix had smiles on their faces, thinking themselves too smart and that their plot would be met with success.

 

Tradition dictated that the three counts should kneel before their Duke but none did so. The Duke looked down at them and greeted them “Hail my noble counts, I presume you have come to swear fealty to me? “ At once the three counts hit their fists against their chest and vowed to always defend and serve their duke.  As soon as they were done Logar came down and kissed each of them on the cheeks as tradition dictated.” I welcome you all into my service, but unfortunately there is a something we must resolve first” The Duke then made a signal with his hand.

 

Instantly from behind the curtains and from the shadows appeared at least 70 armored men aiming rifles at the counts and their retinues, overwhelming them in numbers and in firepower.  The counts were taken by surprise at this and demanded to know what was happening. The Duke of Fenrirs was not supposed to have soldiers serving him directly. To this Logar sighed and replied: “Count Guy of Kor you are under arrest on the charges of treason, don't resist and my knights won't be forced to slay your men. And do not try to claim that your are innocent, Count Luke Russ has shown me the evidence of your duplicity and so has my spymaster.”

 

The counts of Kor and Nix were panicking, this was not supposed to have happened. The Duke should not have learnt of their plot much less have a force strong enough to overwhelm them and arrest the main conspirator! What was even more weird was that only the count of Kor was arrested while the lord of house Nix was left alone. The count of Kor sighed and told his men to stand down, letting himself be arrested. At the sight of this the Duke told the two remaining counts that the day was over and they should head home. He had to sit through his council.

Duke Logar couldn't help but smile while he heading down into the much smaller room that was supposed to be his council chamber. His trusted advisors rose up when they saw him but he quickly gestured for them to sit back down and he did the same. His council was composed of: Baron Heinrik the spymaster, Baron Jaques the head of science, the steward Louis and finally Count Luke Russ as his marshal. As the Duke sat down he looked around with a grin and said: “The plan worked perfectly, Guy will be sent to the dungeons and be forced to abdicate to his cousin, an ambitious young man who we can mold to be the perfect servant to the Duchy. As for the count of Nix, he is too craven and too weak to try and rebel on his own so he is also out of the picture. In time we will deal with him but for now we have other matters to attend to. Louis you go first.”

 

The fat steward rose up and nodded to each member of the council before beginning his report: “Sire there are a few matters that must be resolved. First we must build improvements to our economy if we are to fund this new army you wish to form, with that in mind we must turn the mountain of Tourhai into a hub of trade and commerce. Secondly there is the matter of travel between the various hold in your Duchy, for this army you wish to form to work there must be a fast response time from hold to hold. With that in mind I have begun development with Baron Jaques on a machine to aid us in tunneling between the mountains.” With that he sat back down.

 

Baron Jaques was next, besides the Duke Jaques was the youngest in the council but many referred to him as a genius of sorts so he began his speech: “Besides this tunneling machine some of my scientists have begun to research the depths of the mountains. Electricity is a marvelous invention there is no denying that but to obtain it one must go through great lengths. We are currently using the steam from coal but what if we could use the heat from the earth itself? That could bring us an endless source of energy!” By the end of his speech the small man was very excited.

 

The Duke looked directly to the the count of Russ and simply said “What about my knights?” the count nodded and said: “Training is going well, your army will be a force to be reckoned with my lord” The Duke nodded and rose to his feet and told his allies to continue their work. As they left his chamber he smiled to himself and thought, this is the dawn of a new era.

Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph):  The Duchy of  Fenris is composed of multiple mountain fortresses and cities, in order to better connect his realm, Duke Logar has ordered a tunnel system under the mountains. But to do this one requires a new machine. With that the Tunnel Digger was invented,  consisting of the rotating cutting wheel, called a cutter head, followed by a main bearing, a thrust system and trailing support mechanisms. The type of machine used depends on the particular geology of the project, the amount of ground water present and other factors.

Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph):  To harness energy and to turn it into electricity has always been an arduous task, requiring the burn of coal in order to produce heat or it required to heat up water so steam could be turned into electricity. But what if the very heat of the earth was used as a source of power? That is what is being researched right now.

Born through the fire and heat of war, the UAE was a nation of promise. Emperor Ezekias was a kind ruler, but was not afraid to use his iron fist when needed.

 

Ezekias quickly began to work, ensuring that his country remained strong and at peace for as long as possible. A letter would be sent to the Noctem Republic, requesting an alliance, as well as trade rights.

 

In addition to this, Ezekias issues that the official currency of the Empire is to be the Rand.

 

With the nation’s treasury currently holding 100,000 Rands, Ezekias orders production of a national trade hub (-25,000 Rands).

 

100,000 of the nation's army would begin to undergo training, to ensure that they are fit and ready for combat.

The European Federation

With the incumbent Premier negotiating with Campestribus and Windsorian delegates, the Federation had finished their policy draftings. With the abolishment of the royal state symbols, the image of democracy in design of the Evropian civilization is now solid. It was deemed the right time to move forward, southward.

 

 

Without an official declaration, the troops march into the unclaimed territories. They are given the expectation of an aggressive defense, although it is unknown what lays south. 20.000 troops are send on this mission, who slowly move forward with cover.  The other 50.000 dig trenches alongside the southern border with makeshift roads for supply lines. {{Mod state what to find south please}}

 

With the sudden demand for military emphasis, the government is quick to develop a new potential technology to easen future military operations. The idea would be, efficient defense and offense mobilizations over land and sea.

Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph):   With its lightweight construction and different engines, this vehicle can quickly move over land and sea with moderate protection against today's average bullet. With its simple construction and the usage of alternative materials, the ATV is easy to produce in large quantities.

Meanwhile the state loans a total of 35.000 from both Windsoria and Campestribus which will be used for the construction of Trading Hubs throughout the country, the remaining 10.000 is given to the research fund of the ATV. These trading hubs will aid in the proper distribution of agricultural and luxury goods mostly from the north, boosting the national economy remarkably.

 

In the city of Montepellier, 10.000 troops are mobilized to expand surrounding territories southwards. Just like the mainland troops, they slowly move forward as they scout to discover what occupies these lands. {{Mod please tell me what to find there.}}
