A Moment Of Misfortune

Greetings Lord of the Craft.

I have come to apologize for my actions this day when it comes to overturning the decision of the Halfling region removal. This was an action done with the decision of myself and iMattyz, which undermined the decision of a majority of the staff team. I shouldn’t have disregarded their opinions on the matter as well as should have consulted them further.

This being said after a discussion has  been had and a revote on the matter. It has been decided to follow through with the original judgement of removal. It may not seem like the fairest thing in the world, but all is not lost. Wherever the halflings move too, whether it be elves, humans, or dwarves (assuming would not willingly move near orcs and be a food source) we will offer the aid of WE’ing their houses to said new location. Thus a minimal bump is all the halflings will face at best. Thus it is not necessarily removal of halflings, as much as it is relocating.

Sorry for the run around, but this is the decision that is and will stand henceforth.

Sorry for getting all of your hopes up, truly thought it was the best choice to re-add the region. However, it turns out it wasn't my decision alone to make.

Now to be perfectly honest, this seems a bit... well, mean. We belived we were getting our land back, just to have that promise yanked back in one big psyche.

Edit: Help us, before we vanish for good...: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/132214-a-small-cry-for-help/

I'm still confused as to what the halfling region is actually hurting at all? They can't have a place where they can get peace from all the other people on the server who don't share the same views?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The staff /really/ needs to work on having better communication, especially between different teams.

Again a poor decision, it's apparent that the whole server completely disagree with you Urasept.

Really disappointed

Err, his decision was to restore the region, is that what you're saying you disagree with? Anywho, staff had come to the decision that halflings will have to move.

This is YOUR mission statement which you made YOURSELVES. You are banning players from breaking it. What's going to happen to you?

1. To preserve and promote a friendly and cooperative environment for everyone, to ensure people feel safe and comfortable within the community. - Failed, our community is torn apart and been told the GMs ‘didn’t give a **** where you guys go’.

2. To continue to encourage and endorse roleplay that is enjoyable by as many players as possible. - Failed, they take away an entire aspect of roleplay on the server, preventing current and future players from ever enjoying it.

3. To be transparent, and forthcoming with our intentions and development, while considering the input of the community. - Failed, GMs did not communicate enough, sometimes not communicating at all. When they did communicate, they lied to us. Twice.

4. To remember we are volunteers, we made the choice to step up as leaders of the community, we’re not here for personal gain. - Failed, you want our land for your own personal use to be an 'event area'. You want this server to be your own little play thing without any consideration for others.

This sucks. I would like to say that the staff and gm's don't realize that they are hurting halflings and even other races by doing this. Why cant they use other land in the INFINITE WORLD OF FLIPPING MINECRAFT. this is my opinion and I wont listen to hate.
