This is so silly. You know the saying, "If something ain't broken, leave it."???

The staff literally just made one of the most peaceful and chill groups on the server angry.

I can already see certain outspoken Halfing members ending up getting banned for this because they seem to have no intention of going down without a fight. And then what do you get? You get some banned Hafling players, already a minus to their activity. Then you get disgruntled Halfing players who become less inclined to play and soon enough you have a completely dead race. What the Staff just did was probably the most imature, useless and quiet frankly stupid change I have ever seen them make. They literally had no reason to go off and piss this group off. And they knew the Halfings would be mad. What normal person would expect them to accept this notion happily?

Really silly behavior from the staff. Wonder why they even spent time making that Mission Statement if they did not intend to follow it.

The mission statement is just another method they have created in order to arbitrarily punish players. It is exactly like this ridiculous 'nation status rules' they have created in order to punish players like the hallfings. They have no intention of following it themselves.

First off I would like to address this whole "behind closed doors things" as it was never behind closed doors. It was between the staff and the inactive group, aka the halflings. If this had been the high elves that were inactive we would have been discussing it with them, not the dwarves.

Secondly when I say "inactive" that should be taken lightly as the GM team (not myself but many other moderators) have been monitoring their activity and concluded that the halflings weren't even playing halflings. They were either offline almost 24/7 or on alts. Point being the town was not being used.

Thirdly this was done to the kharajyr back in Athera. They couldn't maintain even a miniscule amount of activity, just like the halflings, and were revoked their staff-sponsored land.

Fourthly they received their answer by the majority of the staff team by dragging some of my fellow GMs into chats so that they could berate them. Telling staff to "**** off" & "we are done with you" when they (myself not included as I was on vacation) were honestly trying to figure out the best solution for you without bending the rules is an unworthy attitude. Kalamoot, an Admin, was dragged into a chat for answers and before he could give them Dalek had him kicked. We get that you are mad but you guys never once acted civil. You all acted entitled to something YOU WERE NOT USING. It was only when we took it away that you cared. You guys simply were not using the land and thought you were untouchable. Likewise you guys attempted to justify snide OOC remarks in roleplay instead of simply doing what we asked. We laid it out dozens of times and you failed to meet them every single time.

Fifthly when you got your answer and were not pleased you went to every single staff member you could, talking in circles to get your way and you did, for a time. This is called modshopping & is ban-worthy.

Had you better attitudes & had you been actually trying to do anything besides attempt to belittle staff into getting your way this may have turned out differently. I don't care if you are disappointed in the staff because the small number of you are weaving a lie. We tried. You didn't.

As for the mission statement posted;

1. To preserve and promote a friendly and cooperative environment for everyone, to ensure people feel safe and comfortable within the community. - We were civil. We were not the ones cussing you out. We presented you the problem and you gave excuse after excuse, insult after insult. Never once did you actually try an honest attempt at doing what we asked.

2. To continue to encourage and endorse roleplay that is enjoyable by as many players as possible. -How can we endorse something that is not present? There was no roleplay. We also want to promote player retention. You know what happens when a new player walks into the halfling village? They log off.

3. To be transparent, and forthcoming with our intentions and development, while considering the input of the community. - We spent hours communicating with you. You didn't care about the warnings and you did nothing but berate us over the last week.

4. To remember we are volunteers, we made the choice to step up as leaders of the community, we’re not here for personal gain. - This is beyond me and simply the fact that this was listed shows how low you are going to try and get your way. We have no benefit from this but we will not stand for a playerbase who is disrespectful & inactive.

TLDR; The staff won't sponsor a group that isn't active and are a bad example for the community

For the love of God, the Halflings as a race aren't being killed off. You can literally go and enter under another nation and reestablish yourself through activity. Stop crying on the forums just because you didn't manage to make the activity check - the standard that every nation is held to. The toxic attitude isn't helping your case.

Is this about halflings? Or is it simply to shine the spotlight on Dalek348, the easy way out. You'll have to provide a better reason, because character assassination is not enough to justify what you're doing to the halfling community.

Can we relocate the Admin Team to another Team due to inactivity? :^)

This is about every halfling that we have spoke with in chats. The staff recognizes that not all halflings are at fault but many of you have been literally impossible to work with.

Firstly, we were MOD SHOPPING?????????? YOU ASSIGNED 5 TRIAL GMS TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUE AND EACH ONE TOLD US DIFFERENT THINGS

The halfling playerbase was lied to FIVE TIMES throughout this crisis. Five times. The communication issue was entirely on the staff's part.

The only thing worse than an angry halfling is a snide, dismissive, arrogant and lying GM, which is what we have been dealing with the entire past week.

Could... er... Could we (meaning everyone here) try and keep this civil and non offensive? I realize that the Halflings (myself included) are upset, frustrated and feeling betrayed, and I get that! But being rude is not going to help our situation...

The only thing worse than a snide, dismissive, arrogant and lying GM is a shitposter who is blatantly instigating conflict on the forums with the staff. :^]

We'll see what you do when the GMs come for your group of friends and your community. You won't be such a bellend then.
