~A Bear Falls~

12th of The Grand Harvest, 1528

It was the knife that tore through the linen and into the heart that ended him, a single blow of which ended such an esteemed Warrior. In those last moments he looked to those he'd named allies, to those he'd named friends and to the one which he loved, he fell from off of the man he had hated so knowing his work was done and with a steel clad thud, smeared with crimson he looked to the sky. His eyes came to a shut, that which he had longed for, for so long had finally been granted upon him.

Those who he'd loved rushed to his now cold corpse, some with tears and others with seldom dishearten, regardless it was evident that the bear had fallen and the northerners life had come to a quick, deserving end. And so he entered the seven skies, reuniting with friends and loved ones old a new, he saw those of his generation who had died during their time and even those younger than him who had their lives taken before they were ready, the beast was finally tamed.

Jon of Buron would shake his head greatly as word hits him about Ragnar's death. He would mumble to himself, "Kazimir is a cheater. He brandished a dagger upon the northman. Not a true fight at all, Ragnar shouldn't have died.."

Cale would drown in sorrow once hearing of the Knight-Sergeants death, knowing that the last guide he knew in this world had fallen. In spite of himself he smiled, as Ragnar of Banard, gregarious and hearty in nature, had died a warriors death. He would murmur "May the Seven Skies ring with your story of valor, Ser Banard."

Adrian de Bar, broad shoulders laden heavy with the weight of a dutiful warrior and his demise, carried the corpse of the ironclad Northman back to the walls of Castle Geldern with unfaltering pace. By the time he had crested the threshold of the brick-topped spires of Peremont, his form was weary and strained from the task, but he was certain he had done what he could to see Ragnar's lifelong loyalty repaid.

Mira Warnek rested by his corpse for a night and a day until it was cremated in the Northern fashion, a single palm laid upon his chest silently.

Auberon sheds no tears for his good friend, but his countenance is veiled by grief. His formerly youthful face now shows scornful crowsfeet, and a dull stare takes the place of his familiar snake-like glare. Sarcasm leaks through his voice, and he has ceased to hide his cynicism with diplomacy and feigned patience.

He finally allows himself a single glance at Ragnar's brutish, now peaceful countenance, as he holds the wake, and forces himself to supress the memories that attempt to pry themselves into his mind.

"Le Ours Sauvage... Atleast you took that Vladovic, woman supporting, sodomy practicing, young boy enjoying, vodka guzzling camel rider with you, eh..."

Samuel of Hadvar leaned upon the stone rubble railing of the fighting pit, spouting insults at the Vladov. As he brandished the knife out of it's sheath, a scowl spread over the northman's rigorous features, fists clenching intensely, though not a word would flow through his sealed lips. He clutches his father's Lorraine cross necklace tightly to his heart, precisely where Kazimir's dagger struck, murmuring softly beside Ser Aster Stonne.

"Vrath und ruin."

After hearing of the death of Ragnar, whom he had served for 10 years, Elric would be filled with sorrow for the old Knight-Sergeant. Upon entering the empty barracks he would pour himself a mug of whiskey, muttering "Cheers."

Godwine of House Horen frowned as he saw the bear slain by a snake. While the bear had already made a sufficient mark to end the snake's pitiful life, he had to give up his own to do so. Unfortunate that a man who fought with honour would be slain by a man with none.

Erik grieves with Godfrey Horen as he remembers a time when he fought side by side with Kazimir. "May your soul rest peacefully in the Seven Skies..."

Brittanus would frown as he hears of Kazimir's death from his friends and surviving family. He'd sign a Lorraine Cross over his chest, before muttering to himself,

"Rest in Peace, uncle."
