A letter was sent and sealed with wax the shape of a stag, sent to the Archchancellors office.

"Your Excellency,

Titles have never concerned me as much as my duty, but nevertheless for the sake of confusion... Is one whom holds the title Laurir in the Principality of Laureh'lin considered the Patriarch of a house? Or is it a title solely isolated to myself?

I seek no extra power of course, but it would be rather nice if I could tell my grand-daughter she was a noble lady, without letting it get to her head, obviously.

I suppose it is worth asking."

House Name: (of) Krinfrid

House Patriarch: Ser Foltest of Aeldin

Patriarch’s Heraldry (Quarters):

House Sigil/Motif:

U2Gz2ef.png

House Standing: Nobiles nova

House Holdings (If any): The County of Krinfrid, the Castle of Kaer Fledern, the Protector of Prophets' Peak, and the Lord of Upper & Lower Angren.

House History (Brief):

From Gaul, to Soldier, to Knight, to Lord, the ascension of the House of Krinfrid to nobility begins with Ser Foltest of Aeldin. Born and baptized Foltest of Valtian to a family of Aeldinic ranchers along the Heartland's north eastern border to Arkent, the House would begin from humble beginnings, the closest kin of note being a knightly second cousin who would perish in dishonor. At the age of fourteen, Foltest enlists into the Excertius Imperium; arriving at the Chivay's front in the Fringe at the age of sixteen, from then on serving as a Sergeant until receiving an honorable discharge a month prior to Vibius' coup. Eventually, Foltest would return to Athera serving under the Grandmaster of the Order of the Flaming Rose, Helton Chivay.

After the Order abandoned its plans in Athera, Foltest returned to Aeldin once more to continue his service until later discharged to return to Athera at the onset of the Schism War. During this time, he would come into the service of the Duke of Savoy, Olivier de Savoie, receiving his knightly spurs for a display of faith, courage, strength, and skill in cutting off the barbed stone tail of a demon in a single stroke. Ser Foltest would soon after be charged with the fief of Krinfrid, establishing him as the Protector of Prophets' Peak at the edge of Angren's blight, affirming his status and station for the Edict of Knighthood. In the later years of the Schism War, Ser Foltest would participate in the assault into Angren, fighting alongside the other heroes of Angren within its halls to ensure the destruction of the undead menace. The aftermath of Angren's destruction saw the freshly smote land partitioned into two new holdings, Upper Angren and Lower Angren. Ser Foltest would receive Lower Angren as an extension to the fief of Krinfrid while Upper Angren would be granted to fellow knight and close friend, Ser Guy Silsbury, who would later leave Upper Angren to Ser Foltest in his last will.

In Vailor, Krinfrid would establish itself in the north east of humanities' domain, being charged with a large swath of land within the Kaedreni Commonwealth under Magnate Helton Chivay. Subsequently, Ser Foltest of Aeldin would be ennobled within King of Oren, Olivier de Savoie's reign,  and declared Count of Krinfrid and all its territories. From then on, Ser Foltest would serve on to the Magnate of Kaedrin and later his Imperial Majesty, John Frederick Horen I during the Kaedreni interregnum.

House Name: Camoryn

House Sigil/Motif:

W9vgo2h.png

House Standing: Laurir - Elven Nobility

House Holdings (If any): None

House History (Brief):

Being long lived as elves are, the house patriarch Artimec Camoryn has been guiding his people, the wood elves for over a century as a soldier, counsellor and head of state. Beginning as a lowly advisor on the low council of Malinor, Artimec eventually aided in the ancient nation’s downfall after seeing the lawlessness and decadence of the state.

He went on to found the town of Lenniel as a place to rebuild his people and their culture. That project enjoyed some initial success, and Caedwen was born during this era. However, Lenniel was destroyed after the town was ransacked by Setherien’s scourge.

A brief few years in the fringe had the Camoryns living under the iron fisted regime of Kalenz Uradir under the high elves of Haelun’or. Powerless and titleless during this time, it was not long before the Camoryns took up arms with Phaedrus to topple the high elves during the bronze rebellion.

With Phaedrus’s eventual disappearance, leadership of the wood elven people fell back to Artimec due to a lack of other candidates. Under his guidance he fought a bitter war with the Camoryn’s old enemies, the high elves. While the Wood Elves won some victories under Camoryn leadership, they ultimately lost the decisive battle of Leyulin plains, which forced them to retreat across the forest of Fiandria, effectively losing the war. Tensions finally cooled when the Empire of Oren vassalized Laureh’lin and conquered Haelun’or.

A few decades after Laureh’lin was integrated into the Orenian Empire, the province was made into a Princely State. The Praetor Tresery was made prince, and his chief council members, one of whom was Artimec, were granted nobility.

House History (Brief):

Founded by the third son of the Saintly Lucien I, Gwenael, the House took the name de Bar to denote their heritage from Gwenael's Viscounty of Bar. Gwenael sired a number of children but the most significant to history was his eldest baseborn progeny, Richard d’Aldersberg. Swiftly legitimised by his father he went over to inherit the flagging Order of Saint Amyas and lead its revival through a campaign into the Orcish wastelands, creating the Duchy of Junavos and aiding in the deposition of the Third Empire and the creation of the Fourth. He was slain soon after, leaving his inheritance to his eldest son Adrian who held the titles for some time, moving to Aldersberg, before capture by Orcs. The House went for some time without notice before its revival by Richard’s youngest son, Guy, who governed the Order during his brother’s absence and founded the prosperous City of Leuvaarden. Guy led the Order and his holdings through numerous conflicts, rising in esteem and prestige until his appointment as Lord Chancellor, coinciding with his brother’s return.

Following the bloody Duke’s War in which Guy, now Duke of Drusco, played a key part, his kinsman Olivier de Savoie, King of Oren, died via misadventure. Leaving no apparent heir, the lords of Oren convened and named Guy the King of Oren, Adrian his Lord Chancellor during the brief reign. Despite laying the grounds for the creation of an Empire Guy was slain by a group of clergyman and holy knights, leaving the throne open for the new Emperor. His son, Sergius de Bar, inherited the titles for some short time but was executed and the titles passed on to the patriarch Adrian, now simply a County.
