House History:

Founded upon the backbones of war, the Falkenraths who were traditionally an Auvergnian family, had sworn their extreme loyalty to House de Sola in the midst of the bloodied Duke’s War. Serving in both diplomatic and military roles within Dour Watch, the family soon grew to prominence as the war carried on, and were eventually granted the County of Laria by the late Titus of House de Sola, former Duke of Istria, for their unwavering loyalty and dedication.

With the end of the Duke’s War, the Falkenraths, who were fiercely dedicated to the betterment and maintenance of legacies of House de Sola, had greatly sought to ameliorate the domestic situation within the Duchy of Istria. As such, they headed the founding of the Township of Alsace, aimed to improve the Duchy’s populace, as well as the Istroit Mercantile Company, which sought to improve the economic situation.

House History: Founded by its current patriarch, Duke Percival Staunton, House Staunton first rose to notability during the descendants later years in Athera. Hailing from the Atheran mesas, House Staunton soon developed a distasteful reputation for its isolation and disorganized militia. It seemed, however, that their troubles would end when Duke Vasili Vanir granted the Stauntons land in the northern regions of Oren. Much to the Stauntons' despair, their recent fortune served only to inflame their unwarranted stigma. The situation stagnated, the Stauntons' stature neither rising nor falling throughout the rest of their years in Athera.

Upon coming to Vailor the still optimistic Stauntons hoped their new home would mean a new beginning. Their aspirations were nearly crushed, however, when the treacherous Vasili Vanir turned his back on the Stauntons and their loyalists, casting them from their homes to suffer a frozen death in the unforgiving northern tundras. Against all odds, the resilient and brave men survived, struggling their way to the Heartlands, where the impassioned Percival Staunton swore allegiance to King Olivier. Even as the Stauntons arrived in the Heartlands, the Duke's war erupted, shuddering across the kingdom in destructive waves. At the war's end the Stauntons had proven their savage loyalty to the victorious crown of Oren. For their loyalty House Staunton was ennobled and granted a county.

 

After King Guy de Bar's assassination, the Stauntons, along with the rest of Orenian nobility, swore allegiance to House Horen and its patriarch: His Imperial Majesty, Emperor John Horen. For their brisk support of the new Emperor and their proven efficacy, Percival was elevated to Ducal Status, and now reigns over the Duchy Courland. Now the Stauntons' repugnant reputation fades into the past and they contently reside in Courland, their home.

House History (Brief):

Descending from the Faolain Clan the infamous Vallberg Brothers swore fealty to Karl Barbanov and joined the Kingdom of Oren in the late age of Athera. House Vallberg were given a small amount of land in the North but several members of the family disappeared or fell ill before the Duke's war. As a result their land were taken and the name forgotten.

As the 5th Holy Empire of Oren was declared, House Vallberg began to make their return.

House History (Brief):  Once pagans, now god-faring citizens of the Imperium, Norlanders as they were once called have looked to the Ruric Household to rule them time and time again.  With much land on the Island of Avor, and now recently vassalized to Duke Augustus d'Amuary, they've formed the Barony of Nyrhold within the heartlands to cement themselves as a House of the Imperium.

House History (Brief): Originally ennobled by King Andrew Vydra during the schism war, the Vanirs assisted King Vydra in leading the Canonist League to victory against the schismatics. In Vailor, the Vanirs were given the Duchy of Vanaheim. Following their loss in the Dukes' War, the Vanirs were sentenced to exile, and lost all lands they had previously held. Emperor John I's pardon of all Adrian houses prompted a return, and now House Vanir resides in Courland, in their ancestral home of Kraken's Watch.
