On Gauldrim the Clanless

A plain envelope would be sent to the Dwed of Da Kirkja Dverga, the dwarven clergy. On the front of the envelope would bear the Ireheart Clan emblem, and upon opening the letter would you find a long sheet of paper with half decent penmanship.

It has come to my knowledge that the name Gauldrim has resurfaced around the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. There are beardlings about who were not around during his short time of relevancy, nor during Uldar Irongut's short reign as Grand King. As a firsthand account of this period of Dwed history, I am able to relay the factual truth of these times that would tempt a dwarf to pull out their beard hairs in frustration. I pray to Yemekar and the Brathmordakin this account is able to be understood by the minds of every Dwed.

Our past Grand King, Uldar Irongut, was a true Grand King of Urguan. It is a controversial thing to say, but we as a people elected him to lead us. He led us, though with harshness which drove those who did not share the same thinking as him off. Doing away with the Senate of Hammers did not help ease tensions between him and his people. Such unwillingness to listen to his people's cries led to outside parties wishing to dispose of him. Of course Uldar Irongut caught word of this and fled the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, leaving behind the illegally placed Gauldrim the Clanless on the Obsidian Throne.

Immediately after the Hallow Scandal, Gauldrim put out his false edict, labeled the "Grand Edict of Partition". It was his goal to split the Grand Kingdom of Urguan into his own Kingdom of Azwyrmor, and to appease the Grandaxe Clan by granting them the Island of Avar, to be named the Kingdom of Avar. The Dwed people did not wish to be split into two, especially with the rest of the Grand Kingdom's land being marked as independent. Orenians see this as tyranny, but it is simply the rightful land of the Dwed people, as Yemekar intended.

One Dwed can not stand against the many, as shown with Gauldrim the Clanless. The citizens of Kal'Akash quickly removed Gauldrim and voted unanimously to appoint Grand King Midgor Ireheart to retake his position as Grand King. In no way was this tyranny, corruptness, or selfish - as it was in the will of the Dwed. We simply corrected the mistake of Grand King Uldar Irongut.

Dwed of Urguan, try to find sympathy for Gauldrim the Clanless in your hearts Yemekar the Creator gifted you with. He simply wished for the progression of the Dwed people, but went about it in a way not true to the dwarven people. While showing sympathy, do remember we as a kingdom do not know his current whereabouts or intentions for the future, so be careful of him. Isolation from the mountain and his fellow Dwed may of impacted him for the worse. May Yemekar save Gauldrim the Clanless.
