The brazier of Laurelin burned, as it always did, awaiting the offerings of elves seeking favour from the Aspects. On this cold winter night, it was a dim fire, subdued, its embers casting dancing shadows on the imposing statues of the Green Lady and Horned Man in the city square.

The forest city was quiet, save for the padding of a feet. The elven footmen of Sirame and green clad druids of the Naelurir busied themselves with attaching parchment to trees and noticeboards- they all bore the same message:

Regarding the Corrupted Ones Within our Borders

New laws have been implemented in order to keep our Emerald Isle clean from the influences of the void and their haphazard slingers. They are as follows-

All Arcane mages, both citizens and prominent visitors, must register any and all of their voidal powers to the Laurelin Council with full accuracy.

  • Failure to register your magics will result in exile.
  • Failure to register any vices of conjuration, fire evocation, illusion or mental magic will result in execution

All Arcane mages are liable to full investigations of their home and person and interrogations at any time. These searches will be conducted by the Naelurir and Sirame whenever deemed appropriate.

Signed;

Prince Tresery of the Principality of Laurelin

As the sun arose and elves began emerging out of their homes, they would notice that attached to each notice was a wooden box with many scrolls inside, each had the following written on it, ready to be filled out:

A thin Neph, worn down by the exhaustion of her encounter with the wraith Vinzakra, takes the paper in hand. Her eyes are bleak, and her countenance grim. The woman closes her eyes and harkens back to two memories, still fresh in the eye of her sullen mind.

She crumples the missive and retreats into the stale air of her lonely abode.

Elvira would read the poster after checking on the clinic. "Hmmm... at least they're not including clerical magic to this, I hope. I would hate to be kept out while an injured needs healing.. still, their reasons are valid I suppose... you may never know what one's intention is with magic till they use their magic for such reasons."

Alenesae gives a bitter sigh upon reading the parchment, only reaching to grasp for a quill as she filled out the form, exhaling rigidly.

"Not like they didn't know, anyways."

With haste and a trembling, scarred hand- the Mali'ame scribbled down said information, still bitter, giving the thought most likely too much thought, perhaps.
