An Olive Branch Extended

To the Caliph Arlen Kharadeen, and his people,

Brothers should not fight, and brothers we are. All sons of Horen, children of the Creator, or Allah- whatever our respective cultures choose to call the all mighty which watches down on us all. He would be dissapointed if he saw us cutting each other down as we have been.

The Empire has known the Caliphate as a bastion of neutrality. Former Caliph Faiz Kharadeen’s choice to fight alongside the dwarves saw us become enemies by circumstance, but this did not have to be.

Open your eyes, the Qalasheen have no loyalties to Urguan! Caliph Arlen, your own people rise against you in protest of this war that your nation has no business being involved in! A war that the Caliphate only entered because of one man, one Faiz Kharadeen’s ancient hatred for the Orenian Empire. Should the fact that so many core Qalasheen citizens are now in open protest of their nation’s involvement in this war be proof enough that by continuing to fight with the dwarves, you are only breeding disunity and conflict among your OWN people?

Peace will be as simple as pulling you and your Caliphate out of this war. Surely the stability and peace of your own people come before the needs of foreign forces, demanding you defend their territory in foreign lands.

Consider this an official extending of an olive branch. The Empire of Oren will cease any and all hostilities with the Qalasheen people and the Caliphate of Khalestine upon their declaration of Neutrality. Their sovereignty will be respected, and any conflict between the two nations will be put behind them.

Many Qalashi insurgents hole up with us in Ard Ghorrock, but they do not want to fight. They simply want you to pull out of this war which is pointless to your nation, so they can come home. They want their people to be free of the foreign chains which bind them to fight.

Please make the right choice.

- Archduke Augustus d'Amaury, Archchancellor of Oren.

"The Caliphate would probably trust Oren more if they hadn't swiped Ard Ghorrock under their noses in a night," Thorgran would say.

Mukar would nod in agreement. As he mutters amongst the Aelkos council.

"Mukar would hope that Arlen sees sense in this offer, while Mukar disagrees with many things Oren has done to his people. To move on one must forgive. While the Kharajyr we're forced into this war against our own will, all we got in return was attempted assassinations, harbour criminals, raiding parties to steal our kittens. It was our so-called allies who did this to us, not our 'enemy'. Our 'allies' continued to kill us and use us, they do nto care of our culture and religion. Only for their survival. The only thing the kharajyr got from this conflict was death from our own allies, such is not acceptable. While Mukar agrees Oren do have a thing about trying to.. kill us all.. Mukar is sure  now we have declared our neutrality they will leave us and let us continue our way of life. Ever since we declared neutrality we have recieved no hostilities from Oren, so far, but only Metztli knows what will come. They should accept this offer of neutrality. The Caliphate gains nothing from being forced into this war, only to have their citizens deserting them for peace and sending their warriors into battles. And for what?

Publius would have a sneaking suspicion that the Dwarves would be opposed to any sort of self determination and peace, but would be hopeful for the Archduke efforts!

(delayed trigger warning for any dwarves)

"So you only show peace to the Caliphate, but not Dwarves? Both have done ill to Oren, but just because one is shorter and has a beard they deserve no peace? Go put a lorraine cross up your ass." Says a Doomforged hovering over the letter.

Sarrion only remembers telling Faiz countless times: "This isn't our war and skyfall will continue to not support such."

He would only pause for a moment to think over the words, though it's correct there was no right to intervene.

Durack would be triggered because he would like peace but probably wouldn't agree to Oren's terms. Hopefully whatever started this war, as even Durack doesn't know and is just trying to sound cool and mysterious and ride this mob sentient train, brought forth some things to light!

Silus grunts as Charles of Furnestock rallies a warband and appears in the Caliphate, killing people, when he only intended to visit a friend.

Enepay grunts as he was part of said warband, of whom's only purpose was to rescue a 10 year old girl the Caliph had captured and held for ransom!

"Strange that the bortu who wish for peace, somehow have words to say against the Caliphate stepping back from the war to acquire their own peace. I could presume that it's due to their fear of losing allies but I cannot say for sure."

Taking a breath Toren continues.

"Furthermore, if one nation wishes for peace and is part of a war, why not arrange a peace talk? Sure people claim there has been many a peace talk but all behind closed doors in hushed whispers, why not make it public as this war is not simply a war between two nations but has descended into a Vailor War, one where every nation seems involved."

"Willingly or not."

Toren sighs as he finishes his rant, his sage eyes resting upon the shocked face of Leyu'wyn with a bunch of confused faces of young mali. Clearly such a rant was not to be said during a child's book reading session.
