A CONDEMNATION OF EDGAR DE SALTPANS

To us - to all humans who reside beneath the banner of Oren - enough has become enough. Such a declaration has been made before, yet the Duchy of Lorraine’s regency sees fit to reiterate the crownland’s cry. The burgeoning army under the command of Edgar de Saltpans, who continue to assault and prey on the Empire’s noblemen and patriots, must be stopped.

New crime has occurred, the cold-blooded murder of the Duke Arthur Roswell as well as his cousin! This heinous act, wrought with cruelty and a shocking brutality that no man should possess, has shown how these men spread in their ways - as if they were some sort of plague. This pestilence of evil spreads like a famine, from barony to county across this entire Empire. We must eradicate it.

As of now, we fear to admit, the location of Edgar de Saltpans and his band of ‘jackals’ is unknown - they remain at large as they lurk from the coasts of Istria to the Carnatian hills. We compel all men to be wary and to speak step forward should they sight any man wearing a gilded band.

SIGNED,

Edward d’Ambray, Regent of Lorraine

Bastion would read the news whilst working on a new sword. "They got Roswell, aye? Looks like hunting season just opened up," he would utter as he returned to working on his sword.

Tenaka Khan, the man who had been beside Arthur Roswell for over twenty years, the man who had known him from the very beginning of his rise to power, silently weep at the loss of his dear friend, he then, despite his aching joints and his old age, vows that these 'Jackals' will all perish, by his blade or by his comrades.
