While it's given in the context of refunding, it still applies to the topic. Donations are donations. If they wanted to, all perks could be revoked, and no legal action could follow. However, they're not that mean :P.

 

Trust me Fam, lots of people phrase thing is different ways. You don't have to pay taxes on donations, but really it's an exchange just like everything else I trade my money you give me advantage over other players with "perks". Now it's true lotc phrased it in such a way no legal action could be taken against them, we all know revoking perks would make for a very upset percentage of the server who "donated" payed for having access to lwc and shops

This, is rather true. Although many positive perks could potentially be lost as donator perk what we can only do is provide you with more, interesting and updated perks. These may take a couple months to come to light, or maybe less.. Its rather difficult to say at this time. However both for your benefit and the server as a whole we'll need t find a new way to provide interesting bonuses usually unaccessible.

If I remember correctly back when this entire thing was heating up, there would be no perks that would allow a greater advantage over a non-paying user (special kits in pvp, extra gamemodes for minigame people) so I'm not sure what's going to change...

I'm assuming Mojang wants you to practically remove all the donation perks but as far as I am aware they only care about ingame, maybe you could give the donators some more forum benefits? Doubt they'd have the same pull as the IG benefits though.

You can literally just.. have them donate for free, and then go and 'give them for free' special perks, yeah?

And no money is passed when giving them perks, technically. Noone can say ****.

can i have access to the LWC plugin for free now? i didn't want to pay $25 or whatever so i had other people inconveniently lock stuff for me...

 

EDIT: you can even make it so that you start out with 5 LWC locks and gain 1 LWC lock per 10 hours on your persona :)

I seriously doubt there will be any change in server upkeep.  If other servers are being approached too there would be little to no point for people to leave LotC for other servers for perks.  And if perks were all that were keeping players from LotC because of donations we might see an increase in membership and thus more ad revenue.  But also I'm bad at math

Maybe you can make some cosmetic perks? 

 

Half of the high level perks have been broken for a long time now.

 

Land plots, VIP claim. And I personally never use the shop plugin or ss thing so.. I would not mind at all some visual Perks.
