Letter to the Temple Monks concerning Monkbread

A large, bold lettered scroll would be tacked up all around the cloud temple.

To the Cloud Temple Monks,

As you are well aware, you provide what could be considered an invaluable service of teleporting bread to those in need of it, particularly those who have freshly arrived in the lands in which we reside, and have no money for which to purchase food. In theory, and to some degree, in practice this has done quite well; starvation is nearly non-existent!

However.

The baking, and distribution of monk-bread has single-highhandedly destroyed a multi-chain business, the farming of bread.

Due to the reliability and ease of accessing monk bread, very few people go out and purchase bread these days - This destroys the job of the Baker, the Miller, and the farmer - Three sets of jobs, which involve multiple people, all gone! And thus, the economy of the Kingdom, (Oren) in this case dreadfully suffers, and fields grow wild with unharvested wheat.

In the interests of those who work, and seek money and trade to live by, it would be prudent to, if not stop the baking and teleportation of monk bread entirely, cut down on the amount that is given when requested.

-Arnorian Elendil

*A note would be pinned to the bottom of the poster*

"While I may just be a concerned elf but I remember the days before the monks gave out bread. Dark times! Full of mass starvation due to the lack of chef's being around all the time. I think the monk's work is necessary to avoid starvation! As such I recommend seeking work else where if the small amount of bread the monks give out is interfering with your own ability to work. Though thanks to the monks work you your self will never starve even if your out of work."

"While one can live off of bread, one's preference would cause them to desire for something with a bit more flavor. We all have a sweet tooth, and if one can afford it they would much rather choose a slice of cake over a loaf of bread that they've eaten hundreds of times before. So while the baker may not be making bread, I say let the baker bake cakes." A young 'Aheral in a Sirame uniform would say aloud to all those around as he would finish reading.

Elder Monk Alder would read the notice narrowing his eyes. He shakes his head "They still think we teleport bread..."

A spook of a halfling frowns at the letter as he reads it and mutters that even when world hunger is solved for the most part people still complain.

"P-Perhaps they summon these magic breads from the void..."   Utters Tevi, the currently wandering Robin Druid, with a shudder wracking her meager figure. "Stick to natural food! Berries! Everyone loves berries."

Garsto nods in agreement to this,

"We don't destroy the business, we only distribute some bread every month, think about the other days of the month that you need food!"
