Dirk Novokain would sigh as he realizes Landon didn't send a proper decree, and instead sits down to write his own.

I, Dirk Martijn Novokain, Grand Duke of the Hearth, hereby swear my utter loyalties and devotion to the Sultanate of Sharaff.

I will uphold Sharaff's laws, and obey the Sultan's word always. Never will I question his authority.

I will protect the lands of Sharaff and not divulge myself in the corruption. I will remain true and loyal until my last breath.

I swear to always serve faithfully under Sharaff and house Kaneen, along with all my people under me. May the Creator bear witness to my oath.

He sighs as he sends Maximilian off with the letter, "I ******* hate swearing oaths."

Hearing the news from afar, an aged Qali man shrugs lightly. He closes his eyelids and he drifts into a quiet contemplation.

No longer my problem. This isn't a sultanate for the Qalasheen, it's a Sultanate of Degeneracy made up of those who called us Sand Eaters in the days of Khalestine for we did not abide by their loose set of morals. Much like the Kharadeens, this Kaneef wishes to kiss the asses of inferior half men, green **** skins and multi-colored abominations to raise an army of freaks to fight against his own kin, fellow sons of Horen.

Where have the Qalasheen gone?

The question echoes in his head as he opens his eyes and looks about him. Surrounded by family.

Scattered. Nothing will be the same since Al-Dirahk's fall to the strykewyrms. If there's one thing I find satisfaction in all of this though is I still have all of my family. The Kharadeens have been missing a few since the Qalasheen Spring.

Nafis forms an elderly ****-eating grin on his face. Enepay could not help but ask what was making the former so happy at that moment.

"Sharaaaafff don't like it.

Rock the Ghorrock, rock the Ghorrock."

A Kaedreni peasant sings upon hearing the news, reciting a popular folktune.

Yoseff Strommer shouts, "He thinks it's not Kosher!"
