Wood Elves Overreact

Dak'ir sits before a stone carved shrine, the image of a lion standing proud with it's mouth agape in a silent roar. He sat in meditation as the rain fell out side of his temple and the soft rumble of thunder echoed in the distance. As per usual, his mind would wander during these times of peace and reflection. He opened his eyes slowly to find the latest high elven leaflet on the floor beside him, perhaps brought by Z'reath who was wise to not interrupt him.

"I recall the first council that was held between our three races. In which several high elves had a conniption due to the presence of Siri. A high elf not of their ilk. Going so far as to completely deny any negotiations until she had left the room. I recall when rumors of frost witches were about, that nothing was done. Until their little schism and they had supposedly moved to Sanctuary. Only then did their hunt begin. And I recall a time when shades freely wandered their streets, openly using their dark arts in public. There was also the incident when they publicly whipped a child... 'Overreact' is an awfully far fetched word to use."

He rises from his seat with the help of his staff, it's carbarum head carved into the same visage as the statue before him. It's various charms of fragmented animal bone and antler rattle as he stands.

"The high elves are an odd folk. I miss Lucion."

"They threatened my, now dead, daughter while she was still being nurtured by Cerridwen. I wouldn't put it past them that they did more than, threats." snarls Toren.

"I hate high elves," snarks an impure high elf named Gareth. "They claim I'm bad yet they kill children and stuff people down acid vats. That's enough for me."

"I've no doubt whatsoever that the claims against them are true. They're monsters. No less vile than the Uruks who spread the plague." says Muildir in a rather snarky tone.

"It is hilarious the things 'Ame will do." Arcleo, the Vigil remarks, looking out towards the water that brushes against their keep. "They do not realize the threat their impurities possess, and will fight to protect it all... admirable? Perhaps... but stupid.

Trees roll across seemingly boundless landscape, as the sun falls through the canopy in hazy shafts of light by the hundreds. A lone Wood Elf walks along at a relaxed pace, bounding over fallen log and raised root at times, and crossing a stream only so he may hop across the stones. Though strangely enough, with a sword in his hand, and a half-eaten apple in the other. His trek comes to a halt as the familiar chanting of Old Blah rings around him in a distant echoes, and the breeze passes by him, carrying the nostalgic and pungent stench that comes with a shaman's ritual.

Suddenly the chanting booms into life and the words of the great Elementalist Eath'Lur can be heard, offering sacrifice to Phaedrus and praising him for his deeds and past. The spirit cracks a small grin as he looks up to peer at the canopy, only to see a severed head crash through the leaves and land onto the moss at his feet, mouth agape.

He pauses for a few moments to appreciate the event, taking his time in finishing his apple before casting the core aside, reaching down to pick up the head by the hair. The head of a mali'aheral staring back at him.

"That was very thoughtful, Eath. Rulg, brother."

Tying the head to his belt, he resumes his trek again, taking on a far less casual and relaxed stride as he enters deeper into the forests where the canopy thickens. His sword now raised to his waist in half readiness.

"Allow me to repay it in kind... We all have our pests to purge, it seems."
