The New Halfling Recruitment Thread!

There have been these types of threads previously made by the Halflings, and so... Here we are again!

Many of you would know that halflings are not all that active as of late on LotC, that's due to many reasons, these include the Halflings reputation as of late, lack of RP in the village and lack of players. This is being posted in order to help newcomers join the community of Halflings. The goal of this post is to help people figure out how to join the Halflings, which have a history of being the most fun race on LotC.

 

Shall we get started?

Step 1 : Find a family

Many families in the Halflings are currently one person, but the easiest way to join the Halflings is by joining a current family. Currently there are a few families listed in the Family Records section that could be looking for members.

Step 2 : Get yourself a skin

 

If you are terrible at making skins like myself you can either find one on a skinning site, request one or find a peasant skin, remove the shoes and colour the hair according to your family.

That's basically it...

But we have many talented skinners, feel free to ask around!

Step 3 : Get yourself a burrow!

 

This process can vary, but if you're in an established family you can use theirs.

Otherwise talk to any of the current Elders for a burrow.

Step 4 : Get in the Skype chat.

 

Anyone can add you to the group, we just need your username, this will help with any announcements due to all the timezone differences.

Message me in game to be added or find someone in game that can add you.

Step 5 : BE ACTIVE!

 

This is huge! If the activity of the Halflings increases so too will be the amount of festivals, RP and other fun things! Be sure to get on and be in the village, something the current Halflings are lacking.

We are found behind Sutica if you weren't aware, there is a path leading away from the back of the city once you get off the bridge. Message another Halfling if you get lost.

Step 6 : Just have fun with it

 

The most important thing of being a Halfling is having fun! Take a break from all the Combat RP and the annoying violent RP and just relax, smoke, drink, be merry like a classic Halfling, it's time for the Halflings to show they're still around!

If you're having trouble with the RP side of Halflings, ask around and take a look at this thread, it will really help you if you're struggling!

I can make you a skin and families can be started or a handful of families are recruiting and the village even has many job openings if you want to make your character have some extra personality while creating RP and interacting with other members of the village.
