You have no real autonomy, though, your military alliance nits you together. I think it would be fine if in the next map that same thing happens. The only difference is that the halfing capital is no longer officially a racial capital - it is just the only major population center populated mostly by halflings. 

 

All, of course, a few hundred blocks from the actual Welf capital.

I have been here since the beginning, never when Orcs raided did anyone defend the Halflings. Except The Edict or my other person did a few times.
