Good day!

Today I bring you a couple of updates from the development team. The first is regarding our update to Minecraft 1.10, and the second is about the 5.0 transition.

EDIT: We are now live on Minecraft 1.10.2.

The main server will be down for maintenance on Thursday, July 28th at 2:00 AM EST for a few hours to undergo scheduled maintenance. We will be upgrading the server software to Minecraft 1.10.2. Notable changes will include the addition of polar bears, new blocks to stonemason and tinker, the removal of crafting times for quartz, the fixing of auto-aging, and performance enhancements.

As you are aware, 5.0 will be released on August 6th. First off, here is the information regarding persona information.

Skills

After much discussion among admins and developers, it has been decided that skills will be fully reset come the 5.0 transition for balance purposes. This will allow everyone to start on an even playing field.

The Grind

In order to compensate for skill resets and get everyone off to an easy start, we will be awarding 150,000 experience to every persona that you may distribute anywhere you please. This is enough to have one masterful skill, or two veteran skills.

Money

Money will be reset for balancing purposes. Voting is the easiest way to get money!

Persona Time

As many of you know, persona playtime gives you special bonuses. We understand that playtime is a nice statistic for you to know, so persona playtime will not be reset. However, the plugin will keep track of two values, total playtime, and Axios playtime. Some modifiers will be effected by total playtime, while some will be effected by the map playtime only. PVP ability, Soulstone slots, Soulstone Pillar level and allowed shops will be based off of total playtime, whereas skill bonuses and other mechanical bonuses will be based off map playtime.

Note: By 'map playtime' I mean The Isles of Axios (5.0), not individual maps/isles.

Book and Item Transfer

EDIT: Both of these plugins are now live.

N.B.: No, ender chests will not preserve additional items.

On Friday, July 29th, two additional plugins will be added to the server. They are plugins some of you may be familiar with from past transitions.

Book Preserve

/storebook will cache the book in your hand into a save file which will be carried over to the next map. You may carry over unlimited books.

/storebook all will cache all of the written books in your inventory

/restorebook will restore your books into your inventory once we are on the new map.

Transition Vaults

/vault will open up a storage vault where you may store up to 27 items to be carried over to the next map.

Armour, weapons, enchanted books, precious materials, and workstations may not be carried over unless they are approved by a staff member (this is for roleplay items, if you have a special item which is unapproved, make a modreq).

Once we are on 5.0, /vault will create a request that a mod will have to look over. They may remove any item from your vault that should not be carried over. Once the moderator finishes, they will approve your vault and you may remove your items

What are we doing to fix the lag that storebook caused with the 4.5 transition?

So not only will the first week of Axios be a hellfest with mines turned to crap, but now that week will become a month so people can grind... God dammit.

Giving everyone 150,000 XP is a horrid idea. It's not dependent at all on what your skills already are. What if you don't even have a masterful skill?

There were some bugs which have been fixed.

For grinding up to Illuminated Enchanter, I actually welcome the skill reset. Looking forward to this update!

I agree. Every persona, even if they haven't grinded on them, will be granted the 150,000 xp? C'mon son.

Sounds good. I wish xp was distributed based on your current skills however.

Everyone gets masterful?  Who thought this was a good idea?
