"The so called 'elves' that are with them are not actually elves. The warhawkes are just filthy Chikr whom power issues. They are literally in it for their own greed and they will realize what a real Mali is when the Sirame come and **** 'em up. Ereinion works with his fellow Peacepigeons in the land granted to them by their new white overlords. He takes a break from toiling in the rice field that Oren permitted him to work at to respond to his fellow prisoner, "If you believe yourself superior in combat, I challenge you to an honorable duel of equal armaments. I would like to see what you can—" Ereinion is interrupted by the snap of a whip with a handle that is branded with the Catholi— Canonist cross. He goes back to working the rice fields like a good dark elf.

He goes back to working the rice fields like a good dark elf. "Damai? What are you doing out here?" He asked, raising a brow at the Sirame officer, supposedly gawking over newly vassalized Warhawkes. "It's unbefitting to sneer at the freshly defeated. Let us return to Linandria, mm?" The prince offered a nod to the Imperial men in the area and made the path home to Linandria alongside Damai. He was glad to be back home, kneeling before the burning brazier in the city's sacred grove, the guardian spirits of the wood elves- Cerridwen and Cernunnos, on either side of him. He prayed for a quick end to the war and moved on, ascending the steps of the great elder trees which held most of Linandria's homes. The view was grand from up there. "I tell you, Damai." The Prince said, leaning along the edge, looking out upon the grand Aspect statues by the city's front gate. "You needn't mock the peacepidgeon, for they've done so themselves. They eke out sad lives, unable to build any homes for themselves beyond tents. They raided and pillaged undefended settlements to make a name for themselves, and in the end, they meekly submitted themselves to Imperial Authority under the High Elven Province, to avoid destruction. No point in adding insult to injury."

"But... those elves on the left, and almost all the elves of the realm fight with Oren. Even their armour looks like that of the Sirame. And they're fighting...orcs? But the orcs are on the side of the dreadlands. I am confused. Why are we being compared to orcs when they fight alongside actual orcs?" He set out a sigh, puffing somberly at his peace pipe. "The real alliance of men and elves is the one that comprises the largest nations of men and elves." Dak'ir clicks his tongue, waving for Art to hand the pipe over as they sit upon the shore of Linandria's lake. "Puff puff pass now, that's the rule." He grins as Art relinquishes the pipe, taking a long drag. The dull haze of smoke lingers in the air as he dips his free hand into the waters. "Clipped ears, Adunians, and warhawkes. I hear the they've swapped their crimson leash for a sliver one now. Ancestors grant us strength in this war, though I feel we may just end up taking an abandoned fortress if the rumors are to be believed. Either way, any resistance will be heads for the Spirits, old friend. I do hope Phaedrus and Khel are watching us from above."

Taketheshot 3834 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Walter Marshall scratches his head before turning to his comrades "Are they not the ones who attacked us mercilessly in the first years of Axios? If so how are we the invaders?" the few other men nod and agree "I suppose they will die a cowards death."
Remyy 952 Share Posted September 7, 2016 1 hour ago, Jonificus said: Mithius rests by the pool with a cup of wine when a herald is heard from above the estate wall. "Price on sugar rises by a mina! The bakers of Johannesburg proclaim their goods to come at a greater cost!". The elven dignitary gasps as he realizes he is already out of jamfilled pastries. "Oh no.." He whispers in cold sweat, "How can this get any worse..". The herald shouts once more and Mithius listens intently with much dread.. "Remnants from the brigand warlords of the south unite for a last stand!" The elf sighs in relief, wiping away the sweat from his face, the somewhat delirious Mithius finds peace again. Oh? what is this? Oodly.. Mithus could find a elegantly weaved basket with a simple white cloth covering it. Atop a note could be found written; "To Mithus- OH LOOK! Cookie's homemade cookies!" If the cloth were to be removed, he would find himself a large amount of cookies. Of many flavorings as well!
Cave_Creature 467 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Faeinn wonders if the people on their side ever think to themselves that they might be the bad guys. I mean, they have Dread in their name. And a corpse on their heraldry. It must occur to them, right? Next they'll have skulls on their helms.
Salty Saradunan 46 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Saradunan Ivon sits on a dead and shattered tree that has long since fallen over, he grasps a silver blood covered cup filled with red wine, he lets out a long sigh. "Good luck" he says before he takes a long drink of the wine, he gets up, almost falling over onto the grass, the cup falls out of his hands as he walks in the direction he thinks the dreadlands are. Casting aside their previous vestiges as bandits and assassins, they became soldiers, grim and fierce. Blacksmiths forged armor and weapons, commanders rallied their forces, and citizens laid down their plows and took up their swords. The defenders took on a new name, the Last Alliance, a coalition of men and elves one faction of one subrace of elves. Their single goal: to drive Orenians from their lands and restore peace and prosperity in the Dreadlands and all Axios. Elvrohir ponders how a nation of bandits and assassins could have been peaceful.
