Penned by the hand of the Grand King

On the 1st of the Amber Cold, 1576

For the satisfaction of his people

Drynn Ireheart, First of His Name, Grand King of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and Tribune of the Urguani People, Sovereign of the Dwedmar and Vicar of The Brathmordakin, Lord of Kal’Nikaer and Overseer of the Thanhic Desert, Protector of the Edict and Eleventh Grand Champion of Urguan, bearer of the Relics of Urguan and Mouth of Urguan

On the subject of Deeds and a New Era

My people, how I shall miss you all. From the war-torn veterans of the past to the sprightly beardlings still learning their ways, you all gave our Grand Kingdom a great, prosperous light. I have great hopes for, in time, what you all will achieve. That is however, your era. Urguan’s people must advance and develop, and not stagnate in old grudges and poor habits. We must strive forward and make Kal’Nikaer the City of this land, the Light of Axios. Believe and trust my people, for that is all a Grand King needs.

My time as the leader of the Grand Kingdom however, has come to an end. My influence is waning due to external commitments, and I have left both many a project completed, and many a project unstarted. I thank my people for trusting me to lead them into my ideal new world, a stronger Dwarven Nation, and a stronger Dwarven People. Again my comrades, trust and belief is all a Grand King needs.

As I depart, I look over where I have left our noble nation. The construction of Kal’Nikaer to suit a more compact society, the reformation of a competent legionary force, an alliance with the Nation of Oren not seen since Thorik Grandaxe’s second reign, the expansion into the Desert of the East, the discovery of the Deeproads, among others. Yet, I leave behind many a thing unfinished. The Great Hockey Arenas, the Trans-Tahn railroad left unbuilt, and the Navy left to waste.  I have regrets about my reign, blessed with stability as it was, but I cannot help the desire to revel in the accomplishments that our people achieved in such a short time.

My Upper council advisors played no small part in my reign, and were a great help in reliving the great stress that all Grand Kings endure. Their help should be an aspect that all Grand Kings may rely on, a competent and well-oiled council. As I call on their greatness, I implore them to continue their work while our nation endures the difficult process of deciding on the leader to send our nation into a New Era. I can only hope that the choice is made with great thought.

We march with our heads held high, basking in the Grandess of the Brathmordakin.

Seneschal Zahrer Irongrinder shall oversee the election process and serve as Regent until a New Grand King has been chosen.

May these decisions improve the quality of a Dwed’s life.

May these decisions lighten the burden upon the shoulders of the people of Urguan.

NARVAK OZ YEMEKARR NA NARVAK OZ DA THRUMMAZ.

((Unfortunately, ooc reasons were the main reason for my departure. The heavy work load/desire to have a social life did not allow me to lead the nation actively for the past week or so. It is better to resign now than allow the Dwarves to stagnate and fall back into what we were before. Thank you for allowing me to finally try my hand at the post, it was quite fun, and I don't think I did too poorly :) )

A missive is hastily send from the Crown soon after hearing of the abdication, the letter is penned by the Emperor personally.

"To the diligent Drynn Ireheart

I was pained to hear of your abdication, the news was not unforeseen but humbling nonetheless. We've shared many a memory over the years, my stunted friend. The hours of Futyaball Simulator were something I always looked forward to. We changed the landscape of Oren-Urguani relations I only hope your successor follows suit. May you enjoy the peace and tranquility of no responsibility. I fear I'll never get to so live it up for the both of us.

With thought

John

Dimlin lays in his kal'Nikear bed hearing the news slowly  getting up after a few minutes penning a letter

"Your Majesty though there have been downs and ups you have the honor to be the first grand king of Axios. You have also proven the title of one of the great Grand Kings of this century. Though I will no longer have the honor of seeing you day to day handling the kingdom's affairs I hope to see you In the future. You fixed a nation ravaged by the despair of losing Valior into a grand nation with a city only conquered by that of Kal Urguan and Kal Azgoth and the cities of long past. May your coming years bring you harmony and peace"

Signed

Dimlin Grandaxe
