Tal’Ardoth

The Crimson Hold

Edict Sigil.png

As the sun rose triumphantly over the mountains of the Dwed, a new and imposing figure cast its shadow upon the land. Atop the towering peak of Mount Ardoth, a fortress had been constructed. Seeming as though to sprout from the mountain itself, its great towers and banners reached to the heavens. With the fortress nearly complete, it was christened Tal’Ardoth, in honour of its loyal inhabitants. The Crimson Edict stood strong once more, their numbers swelling under the protection of the Grand Kingdom and its people.

Atop the highest tower, two figures were silhouetted against the rising sun. One a mighty Uruk, the other, A wiry Mali’Ame; both hardened and wisened by the rigors of their lives. Their voices floated in the chill air above the mountains, a flag whipping back and forth above them. “We’ve done it, dear brother, we have a home once more.” The relaxed tones of the Ame’s voice are quickly replaced by the deep, yet thoughtful growl of the Uruk; “Aye bruddah, da Edict am ztrung unce mure. Oor bruddahs agh ziztahs vill bring hurmuny agh knuwledge tu Axios.” Once again, they looked out over the fortress, sheltered in its majesty.

And so, once more, the Edict was reborn in Axios. Their resolve unwavering, and their purpose clearer. They would stand to teach those that sought knowledge, be it of medicine, magic, combat, or diplomacy. Additionally, they would strive for peace, seeking to end the atrocities that endanger all descendant races.

Nemir smirked faintly at the distant memories of her time in Blackwood, remembering her pleasant encounters with the guild.

((The keep looks really nice, I can tell that a lot of time was put into it.))

A red Keshig seems impressed by the news.

"Daht ihz Bub'Hozh! Muhre Ztoutz tah Klomp."

To many of Axios, Sahar's face would seem unreadable, if not immalleable, as the so-called "micro-expressions" require a learned eye to catch and interpret them. Those in the upper echelons of the Edict, however, would be able to note the pride as she lays down the final stone and gestures to her son, Aiantas.

"It's hard to believe that your design is more glorious in person that it was on paper, and yet, here we are," she says as the burning sun sets behind the towers, dying light melting in the snow that has already fallen upon the freshly-laid roofing.

"If I am truly the best chef in Axios, then it is no stretch to say that you are the land's greatest architect. I'm sure even the ancient elves could not have compared."

Who built it? Angmarkzu or you guys? And by that, I mean, the biggest part of the build.

((Ang did the bulk of the design work, with help from FilthyPeasant1, and Murdervish. The build on the server itself was largely a team effort, with quite a few people collecting materials and building. ))

"Don't forget the foolish life oath, but then again they don't really hunt anyone unless you are some poor fellow named Erik."  Dionysus would say with a chuckle as his feet are kicked up on the desk in his quarters, then giving a slight frown as he begins to think about his life in the Edict.

A 'ker sits perched atop one of the keep's walls, eartips twitching slowly as a fresh layer of snow settles around him. He quickly finishes the last of his sketches before climbing back down to join the others.

Muildir, the Tortoise Druid would be sitting atop a branch on one of the various trees around the keep, looking upon the walls with his dimly glowing eyes, smiling softly. "It's wonderful to see it come to completion, after all this time." he'd remark to nobody in particular, jumping down from the tree and wandering back into the keep a short time later.

Marrow leans over the edge of the bridge admiring the view with a small smile on his face. "Aiantas truly did a wonderful job." He walks off to the tavern to prepare some drinks for a possible celebration.
