I am incensed that LoTC does not adhere to my personal idea of what a "Lord of the Rings" experience is, because I for one did not see Gimli riding a steamship to Mordor.

 

I also did not see the Mines of Moria populated by golems.

 

I also did not see anyone BUT Gandalf using magic, and he's pretty much the wandering wizard.

 

 

 

Opinions? I don't think it fits with my theme.

Sorry to say this, but the purpose of LOTC is not to fit your theme nor the theme of The Lord Of The Rings.

It is its own universe and the things you wish removed are a big part of the universe.

I wished LOTC would've developed more in technology and such, moved forward with new eras and such. It's been 5 years and we've barely had any technological developments other than the steam boats. But with a stern nexus in place and previously a very stubborn Lore Team, it would've been very hard to do anything of the sort. The only lore that really gets development is magic and aenguls and **** which is kinda sad. I do like the medieval aspects, but I really wish it would move forward.
