Should the Elven curse affect both males and females?

  1. 1. Should the Elven curse of inability to have children once every 10-15 years only affect women, or both?

    • It should affect both

    • Only Females

So this morning I got into a heated discussion about elven pregnancy. Since I started the server it has changed. Originally, elves were limited to 5 children max for their whole life.

Now aparently lore has once more been changed on a whim without anyone saying anything. Pick a lore set up and stay with it.

Previously the curse affected men AND women the same. Could not have children but once every ten to fifteen years. This has been lore since Aegis. Both genders followed this.

Aparently in a recent re-write, only female elves are constrained to this and it doesnt sit right with me.

Already elven pregnancies are common enough, but to basically allow a loophole to where MALE ELVES can have children whenever they please.

This doesn't sit right with me.

Do you guys feel this is imbalanced? Why was lore changed without any older players knowing?

And before people get upset about biology, it is a curse not biological. I already went through that explination before.

The 'elven' curse should apply to both races.

The curse applies to both, but the "hard" rule of 10 or 15 years has always just applied to women. That being said, male elves shouldn't be impregnating three people in a year.

This isn't a change.

As Ski said.

If you'd really like, I bet we could get into unneeded biological detail and explanations. Maybe we could throw ovulation cycles into the mix.

But I don't think anyone really wants that.

And let's both be honest, if a male elf is going around bending over and knocking up piles of women, the fertility lore isn't really the problem at hand.

Seems rather stupid that it doesn't affect both genders the same way. Simple thing to change really... Don't see why it doesn't happen.

Note: Your poll is misleading. The concrete issue being presented is that the "Once Every 15 Years" rule doesn't apply to males as it does females.

The infertility is a curse that strikes both genders, but manifests itself in different corporeal ways. You should change your poll.

Seems like the only people who don't use the whole 10-15 years irregardless of gender are also the people who tend to rp poorly anyways, but yeah

Recall all wood elven children. This will solve everything.

- You are not humans. Roleplay the difficulty of the curse or don't have children. It's PGing and you deserve to be banned forever.

I've never really touched upon this issue, but I believe that it should be enforced, though people don't roleplay it correctly.
