The war is won.

 

Fimlin had grown up in the war, the endless cycle of it and how it affected  the dwarves so.

 

Fimlin had first fought in Thorin's war, he was a young Legionnaire. who sought glory in war. He had fought in the Battle of the Crossing. He defended Storm's Crossing through the many raids.

 

Fimlin also fought in the later Trench war. He slew many foes in Shadowcastle, he saw the horrors of Thoringrad and fought in the endless trench battles and Indagolaf.

 

Fimlin later fought in the Zion war with the Treaty of Zion headed by his cousin Wulfgar. He fought in the Battle of Crow’s Field, he helped topple the crumbling Carrion dynasty.

 

After that Fimlin fought against the dynasty they let rise to power, the Chivays. the Exterminatus War had no battles, only countless fights outside the High Elves and the impervious Mouth of Dungrimm.

 

In Athera Fimlin made friendship with the new Carrion-ruled Oren as Grand King. The friendship failed when Oren fell again, Akovia, Aesterwald and Renatus took its place.

 

Later Fimlin fought in the Northern War, starting against Akovia. The ally Aesterwald fell, the Wood Elves betrayed. Fimlin fought in the North, in Hiebenhall, in Nerezza, in Kal'Bogrin against the new reformed Oren. Fimlin fought in the Eastpoint skirmishes and when "peace" was made he was sad to find that this was the first war the dwarves truly lost.

 

In Vailor Fimlin fought in the 18 years war. He fought in Rhewengrad, he fought in the rubble of Khro'Nagaak. He fought and wept in the Battle of Järnstrand and the Battle of Kal'Valen as his clan was forced from its home after Norlander betrayal. Fimlin then fought in Kal'Ordholm and yet again "peace" was made.

 

Grand King Drynn made an alliance out of Oren, it did not last long. Then Fimlin fought in Philip's war. He fought in the Three Peaks, The Gorge, Goldfield, and watched from the dwarven siege camp as Johannesburg itself burned to the ground. The goal that Grand King Algoda and Bastion set was complete.

 

It has been seven wars. Urguan had fought seven wars over an age-long grudge that Urguan had no desire to keep. The dwarves had fought every battle of this Courlandic Rebellion before it ever started. Through every year Urguan held the lantern below, held it for others despite every betrayal. Urguan had the most to lose in this war and had little to gain.

 

Urguan is unconquered, Urguan had lasted longer than the others and yet Urguan's only hope and only true desire from this war is that this does finally change something.
