You guys should rework it in a month or so, give the nations in need of cities time to finish up their cities/settlements with a deadline. Like lets say the 1st of march, so they have time to put their cities in and they also aren't bombarded with some random end date they never knew about. Remember, we're still a survival server- paid LC is a privilege and a luxury, not a right, and the mindset that it will / is always available is probably the wrong one to have.

 

Obviously not exactly what you want to hear but it's something that needed to be said. The server ran just fine before we had a system for creative, mind you. Additionally, it was not brought down to coincide with the start of these new nations or anything like that, it was put on hold almost a week before Oren split apart. It's hard to believe, but not everything that is done is done to inconvenience you as much as possible- that level of paranoia and distrust is a bit worrying.

 

THAT BEING SAID, I would like to start testing a new system Tuesday as that is my day off. The system might not entirely be the same as it is currently (the current one is fundamently broken and not many people can argue against that, and also there are two systems I am looking to test) but it will be avaialble, in some way, shape, or form, this coming Tuesday / tomorrow. Sit tight and don't fret too much, the world's not ending.

Who ******* cares if it's a luxury and you wanted to change it. It's a ******* luxury that we thought we had and planned around having, that you suddenly took away at the worst of times with no notice. All these communication drives and speeches about transparency and then you go ahead and do this.

I'm going to say this once: cool your jets. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. LC will be available tomorrow- not early/mid Feburary as I had planned. It should have been announced prior, yes, but 1.) the forums have been up and down and up and down, and 2.) I was waiting to announce it alongside the new Nation creation rules/guidelines (which will also be coming very soon, just discussing some last few points). You're acting like I killed your dog and burned down your house and you need to not be doing that. A sour attitude helps no one's cause- and especially not your own.

Johannesburg, the capital of humanity was blown up and, although I've been left with half of the servers inhabited land, we have no settlements thanks to the stunt from mr Pyro.

 

I appreciate that you guys might wish for the system to change, but I've been waiting to put a build in for some time now, and it's only because of the delays caused by some of the regions being taken from us that I haven't done it yet, so I've been unable to purchase LC.

 

We need LC for one or two days to prop up the new centre of humanity and somewhere where all of the server can RP. 

 

I know that you try your best to be fair, so that's all I'm asking, the ability to build the new human city, which could have been up before this ban was implemented had there not of been a mild case of region sniping to deal with.

I appreciate the effort that a player is willing to give up their supplies to add more to the server in terms of cities and cultures.

But like everyone has said, it is a bad time to do a rework. You cant possibly claim it isnt a bad time. I was worried that you were going to take a month or two to do the rework. Since it seems a lot of staff is inherently slow in terms of getting things done. It is something that has been a problem with this server since Asulon. 

So long as you can finish your rework in a weeks time, I wouldnt have any issue with the rework. Since a lot of people planned to do their builds during this week and weekend, I think if you're able to get your rework done by the weekend, you'll be gucci.

I'd like to remind you also that the server, although obviously not a democracy or anything, is run by the community. Although this is a small problem, in the past I'd remind you that staff members taking away and not asking or just telling the actual reasons for this sort of thing has always lead to a **** storm. That being said, I understand it will be up tomorrow, not that it matters to me, but next time, think before commenting something so imprudent.
