The soldier wonders how Alifer hears him from his demon worshipping quarters, as well as to wonder how a crowd of Iblees worshippers does as well. The Carnatian soldier would be glad to have slain Alifer twice. "It is interesting you call me an Iblees worshipper when it is well known you ride heartily on the manmaker of the demon himself. The terms were of course unacceptable for any Hanseti, but Tobias portraying himself as merciful and godly? If Haense rejects the deal and continues the war, they'd look vicious and heathenistic.
