13th of The First Seed, 1612,

His Royal Majesty, Peter Sigismund, rode atop his iron-clad steed as he promptly returned to the Western frontier against the undead, tucked within their respective tents, plotting war against the scourge, and sharpening their blades for battle. Welcoming their liege, they cheered to one another, whereas the callous youth entered the primary war-tent, returning back to his council. Disgruntled, frustrated with his brief departure, their cause for concern was swiftly discarded as the King of Mardon ushered his plans. Pinning points of interest and flags to capture atop the map, laid out upon the worn table, their sights set upon the Bastion over yonder.

Shortly after, his kinsmen came, folk from varying races, and varying origins. Both of hostile and good nature toward the Kingdom of Mardon, their hostilities were set aside for an overarching concern: Mordring. A threat, a threat far, far too great to be put aside, and the demise of the late King Caius of House Horen, then the fall of the Bastion stands as a testament to such. House Romstun, House Amador, House Norrington, the Principality of Pruvia, and its respective vassals have been called upon his His Majesty, whether they fought their war north or with the Staunton’s. An envoy from each was all he called upon, whilst some came in full force, others could only offer a standard squadron. Much to his dismay, his rally was firm, and his resolve was stalwart. It was all he required, for his plan to reclaim the Westerlands was foolproof, Peter Sigismund the Fearless, they dubbed him, for his courage and martial prowess.

“Vengeance will be had,”

The motto run clear, the insignia of the young King, who fought fiercely against all odds before. Would do so again, however, this time with an unrelenting backing. Not even the false Queen could hinder him now, nor could she ever, her illegitimate claim would be cast aside as they sought to re-take the Bastion. House of Horen would reclaim its glory, not under an Empire, nor an Emperor, but through King Peter Sigismund, who would settle for what is just. Honour, glory, and order. The necessity for humanity. The Undead cannot be allowed to thrive, nor their homesteads to persist, and their capturing of the Westerlands would never be forgotten.

Ships over yonder, trekking the azure seas began to encroach upon the Western front, accompanying the King in his efforts to thwart the Undead. A missive is sent forth, to the denizens of Axios, to the leaders of nations, and the free men, women, and children of the Westerlands.

FIGHT THE FREE FIGHT.

FIGHT FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE.

FIGHT TO RID THE UNDEAD SCOURGE.

Vengeance will be had, Leopold and Caius’ legacy will never be forgotten, for the latter, we will slaughter the Undead, and drive them from the Bastion!

Aid the Kingdom of Mardon, put aside your hostilities, and come together to thwart a common threat! We will best the scourge, we will push them back, and they will know to never encroach upon our lands again!

For the future of our families, the future of our loved ones, the future of our freedom!

We do call upon Tristin Tresery, Joseph Alexander, Vladrick Ruthern, Gurak’Yar, Aelthir Tundrak, Oyvind Frostbeard.

You proclaim yourselves defenders of your people, some of you have produced great coalitions in your efforts to rid Mordring. Now, it’s time, let us set aside our hostilities, and advance upon the encroaching Undead.

Peter Sigismund, King of Mardon, Westerlands, does cordially invite you all upon neutral grounds, to thwart the undead menace from our lands.

His Royal Majesty, Peter Sigismund of the House of Horen, Forever August, King of Mardon and the Westerlands, Duke of Blackmarch and Marna, Count of Lorath, and Cantel, Baron of Gravelhold and Darkwood

((Rally will take place at Human Cart Hub, 8 PM GMT Saturday (War begins at 9 PM GMT). Will be just beyond the carts, center-road. Will be happening after the Ruthern warclaim, in case anyone inquires.))

House Ruthern pledges all of its levies towards this just and noble cause, despite their ongoing conflict with the Kingdom of Courland. The Undead cannot be allowed to grow and expand in power, and therefore it is the duty of House Ruthern, as well as all other good people of Axios, to retake Bastion from these threats.

A mud-caked Lord Owyn Amador looks at the letter sent by his King, a nod leaving him as he looked over his levies camped outside of Metterden.

"I must do as my King commands."

He looked to his commanders and gave the orders, after the Battle with the Courlanders he will march a sizable force to link up with his Majesty. With a nod they split from Owyn's tent to tell the men. Vengeance will be had.

Grimly, Artimec inspects his ornate druidic staff, a dim green glow in his eyes with wisps of fae mist drifting off the edges. As the glow fades, he shoulders his staff and gets to business, time to rally the elves of the forest to war.
