Hello again, I know that you all can't wait for the exciting news that we have to offer! Let's get right into it;

Over the past few days, the Villain Team has been working on a defined set of conduct that could award someone a blacklist. We have so-forth updated the villain blacklist information thread in the blacklist subforum to accomodate these changes which can be found here:

With this, it also means that we will be stricter on people who have a poor attitude to villains. This can include people who don’t respond correctly to villains or people who try and powergame their way out of villainy situations. As they cannot be given a villainy blacklist for this, they will instead receive regular server punishments (Warnings, tempbans) etc.

We also would like to know how you all feel about lockpicks and how they operate. If you could answer the questions above that would be greatly appreciated and also post any opinions down in the comments below.

It was a pretty short post, I didn't expect it to be this short - but have fun with it I suppose! Thanks for the feedback c:

I don't understand how attacking a group too much warrants a villainy blacklist.

Problems I have: Explain why, oocly and RPly, why someone blacklisted cannot just, you know, magically not identify with a cult? "Sorry John, skygod said I gotta kick you out." It doesn't mean anything?

Also why villain Blacklist? I don't understand the continuous pressure put on villains. Shouldn't it be Violence Blacklist? Like, is doing ultra crappy violent RP is fine if you're a 'good guy'?

"sorry but ur attacking the target that you're at war with too much, that's a blacklisting"

mean targeting a group for no reason is stupid but if there's a plausible reason to annihilate some group then why disallow it (eg: war, holy vs spook, violent political rival, etc.)

doing miniscule bad **** doesnt make you a villain, doing mass genocide makes you a villain. i concur with zaebos.

We didn't actually change any of the blacklist rules, that's what they were beforehand. However it's good you brought it up - we'll be looking to refine those too and make them more fleshed out.

And to address the second point, the villain rules also state that you're not allowed to murder anyone unless it's self defense essentially. That being said, they could definitely be reworked to become more clear!

I was actually going to make a post about lockpicking... odd this comes out finally. And I agree with Tox, please do a plugin where a person can only utilize a certain amount of lockpicks within one sitting and it'd depend on /roll perhaps. In addition, pair some roleplay with it as well... it needs to be engaging and realistic still, not just /roll a few times and then items! HOWEVER, I think limits and also time constraints regarding robbing need to be instituted so someone isn't robbed of absolutely everything ((ex. realistically, no one can carry out 6 sets of iron armor and you wouldn't rob the same place again within the next day))

I believe the villain blacklisting rules and restrictions seem pretty fair. However, I believe making someone become unaffiliated with a cult/group for an extended period could put a hurt on their character's story... though if it means it forces them to not contribute to villainous activities, I don't have an issue.

Is there going to be some rehab program or support post to get them to optimum villain RP standards though? Would it help if a compilation of villains created a post helping provide examples and tips?

That's why it says "With OOC intent." If your character has a roleplay reason to constantly attack the same group then it's fine.

lockpick plugin pls

Interesting and cool idea. I'd like to see where things go with that; it'll certainly make things more convenient for anyone who roleplays with them regularly.

I Agree, I feel Like making enemies and then targeting those enemies shouldn't deserve villainy blacklist

And Also I think Lock pick rules should be if you successfully lock pick a door you should be able to keep the lock pick.

I require construct modifiers for roll rules.

I'm a humanoid siege weapon, why do I need to roll a 12 to break glass and a 17 to force a door?

Why can I rip the limbs off giant monsters like it was doom 2016 but I can't crunch a door?
