County of Evermore

((The picture will be fixed at a later date))

Uther Morrowwind  looked down from the hill on the town apptly and pretty unoriginally in his opinion named Evermore.

It had taken many hours and blood tears and sweat but he had finally done it, he had united the county.

Yet he knew that even if he had united the county that the hardest was yet to come.

High Rock was still disunited and if he didn't unite everyone then the continual cycle of nobles fighting each other and the small folk suffering from it would continue.

That was exactly that what had killed the empire, disunity, he had read it in the books on what had caused the world shatter and it was exactly that.
If the empire worked together as one and not as several noble territories working together under the emperor than the empire could have at least gotten a white peace from the Alter.

Yet because of the disunity of Skyrim and other territories the empire did not have enough strength to defeat the Altmer and that caused the world shatter.

Disunity was the greatest threat in existence yet even now it threatened even in his own territories.
Even though he knew that the nobility was bad in the end it was a temporary evil since he did not have the knowledge or the people gathered yet who could form a proper administration.

Nobility, they formed the single most annoying thorn at his side even now he had to attend to a council meeting in which he didn't listen to the voice of the people but those of the nobility. Of course some nobility were good and had the best intentions in mind but naturally the noble system caused arrogant and spoiled men to become some of the most important people in the realm. But there was no use thinking about dealing with them at the moment they were necessary to help gather enough forces to unite High Rock.

Thinking this Uther walked down the hill flanked by a single set of guards since he definitely knew he could defend himself but some extra security never hurt. Then he walked through the town and smiled at the hustle and bustle that was going on in the town: children playing in the streets, merchants presenting their wares or the town crier giving the latest new it was a den of activity in Evermore. Eventually Uther made his way to the keep, there he gave respectful nods towards the men guarding the gates who saluted him and some even bowed to him. Then when he reached the central building he quickly made his way to the council room where his council was waiting for him. The council at least they were competent and loyal

The council consisted of the most competent and wise in their trade which mostly consisted of nobility since they were pretty much the only ones who got any education but they were at least the good ones.

stmarysoldcouncilchamber.jpg

Other then sat in his seat at the head of the table

"So what do we have on the agenda ?" Uther would say whilst looking down the table at the men and woman in attendance. "Well my lord whilst our army is well trained and our resource income is sufficient we do not have much intelligence at the moment about our neighbors and what the state of their land is."The spymaster would say and Uther would nod in approval until the marshal would speak.

"My lord, the spymaster has a point with that we should know our neighbors but our military is the most important thing right now." "Our defenses are weak at the moment if we were to be sieged any organized enemy could just walk into the city if it weren't for the guards." "mhm," Uther would ponder for a moment about what both men said" You both raise valid points and I will listen to them yet we should not only focus on offensive or defensive action, our realm is still divided and we need to connect if further by improving the road network, furthermore this will also likely increase the amount of trade inside the borders."

" Scorpius, you shall set up a basic spy network in the provinces of: Jehenna, Farrun and Wayrest or in short our neighbors of high rock."

"And Tristan you will help equip our men and together with master Baldur will start restoring our walls."

"Finally lady Maria you will repair our road network and make sure travel will be made easier, understood"

" Yes my lord." Everyone would say.
"Then I declare this council meeting finished." Uther would smash his gavel on the table oh how he loved the sound of his gavel.

Crescent Empire

The three warships had finally been finished in the dock yards. People were celebrating, knowing that their city became more safe. Taxes were very low, and growth was encouraged. Many races and merchants begin to find their way to Imperial City. The low tariffs and abounding trade deals would hopefully encourage them to stay. Life had taken on an easy pattern in Imperial City. granted very few ventured past the walls. But life within was lively, orderly, and safe. Legion troops patrolled the streets, and Blades hunted down any criminals. The Mages stayed in the library, setting up their new home.

More importantly however was the Empire's next move. The warships had been created for offense, contrary to popular belief. And with the production of high quality equipment, the troops were ready. The transport is loaded with supplies, horses, and as many men as possible. The three warships are also crammed with men and food. They will sail south, into the lands of Brevil. No outright declaration of hostility is declared.

Instead, the master Mage and his apprentices accompany the fleet. They will try to cloak the main fleet with their illusion spells. From there a small river vessel will head to Brevil.

The mission of these few men is to ascertain who's in charge, the cities defenses, etc. The navy if successfully cloaked will remain nearby, ready to pounce. The diplomats will try to persuade brevil to join the Crescent Empire. Their would be only benefits, every citizen having a low tax, guranteed protection from the navy/legion, and so much more.

King Amntius holds a sending off party. In the Imperial Tower itself the higher caste parties. Not restricted to nobility anymore, the Empire catered more to those with wealth or merit. Many worked their way to the top with their skill. No noble connections or rank will advance Imperials anymore. Even other races are rising to the top ranks....

One of these is a Nord who -through his military prowess- achieved the rank of Legionnaire general. General Hjalmer was personally chosen to lead the naval expedition. He is not a cautious man, but neither is he stupid. The court knew this, and did not want a cautious general to waste an opportunity. And so if one is presented, he will strike.

Efforts into the success of naval expedition (3 ap) As many men can be fit are sent. See above for full detail.

"High Chief! We found these Imperial free-loaders loitering about at the city gates. They claim to be Diplomats, pah!" The two guards stormed into the Castle throne room with scrawny imperials in hand, tossing them to the ground and kicking up dust in their wake. "What should we be doin' with 'em?" The other guard chimed in.

"Imperial Diplomats, is it?" The high chief raised from his seat, eyeing the Imperials down. "What have you to say, Imperial worms?"

The Diplomats both shrugged themselves off and rose from the floor. The taller one stepped forward, the other remaining silent for the exchange. "We come for the betterment of the two nations of Bruma and the Crescent Empire. We intend to open trade with Bruma, specifically for the rich silver around the Jeralls."

The High Chief continued to stare down upon the Imperials as if they were insects, a cold menacing gaze. "And what has this 'Empire' in exchange for our metals?"

"The Empire is duly known for our wealth and trade, Orc. We can only offer wealth to you should you accept."

Mazat took several seconds to think the offer over, before sitting down and speaking up. "You shall have your trade, dog. If we are to remain successful in both of our endeavors, then we cannot have our nations distracted by hostility. Send word to your superior, Imperial. I wish to speak with him more directly. Begone!"

With that, the Diplomats looked at each other and began to walk towards the door to Castle Bruma. The two guards which had tossed them at the Chief's feet, now opening the doors for then as they left.

Chiefdom Edicts:

1 AP: Send scouts deep into the southern holds to discover any main settlements in the counties.

1 AP: Construction of an improved state-owned forge for better production of weapons and armor.

2 AP: Begin conscripting into the state military. Around 1,000 men and women.

The Imperial Diplomats are begrudgingly taken in by the High Chiefdom. The Orcs agree to the opening of trade between the peoples of the High Chiefdom and the Empire and send regards for a formal diplomatic exchange in the future.

An Interaction

Word by now had been brought back hours ago. Scouts along the coastline had seen the bedraggled diplomats miles away. After a day to rest, Prince Amantius received them in the council chamber of white-gold tower. Arrayed around him were the city council. Everyone was curious as to what had happened, and were all chatting. Speculations flew through the air as the two advanced. Salan -the leader of the Bruma expedition- strode up to the throne. Empty of course, waiting for the true Emperor. Kneeling, Salan whispers a prayer and than rises. Formally bowing to Amantius, he than awaits his word.

Staring into Salan's eyes, Amantius could see the fear.

"And what exactly.... have you found, man? It seems as if you are at war. Half of you wants to boast, the other wants to run. Speak."

Grinning a bit, Salan begins his tale. No one had known what had become of Bruma. And so he and his team were very surprised to be rounded up by orcs. At first they feared for their lives, and noted all the slaves and orcs walking around. Upon being received in the throne room, death was a certainty. The Orc Chieftain was large, and his council close behind. The worst part was how established they were. But soon sense began to knock. The Chief stated they have silver, and did not want to be distracted with a war. They seemed very arrogant, as if dealing with us because they had to. I might a-

"That will be enough Salan, thank you. That will be all for tonight, the council must convene" Amantius began. Looking at everyone and bidding farewell, they waited for the chamber to clear out. Soon all that remained were the top generals and council members. Amantius asked for the opinions of each.

It was eventually concluded that the Orcs proposition was indeed true. There was no need for hostility. A formal entourage is sent north. A merchant caravan filled with gold is the main element. It will pay for the first batch of silver, and is in fact more than required. The council knows this, but adds the extra gold as a show of wealth and good faith. Instead of Legionnaires, Blades are escorting them. With it is also the Empire's commander of the Blades. Flaro will head the convoy, seeing it through safely. He has nothing to say but bears an official decree from Imperial City.

The Crescent Empire has no need to engage in hostility. We hope your good feeling will remain the same. What we here see is opportunity, not an enemy. Silver will be a solid foundation to anything else. But we also wish to establish a slave trade in the future. That will take more trust and organization however. Other matters must be solid as well. For example, our territorial ambition should coincide, not clash. Enslavement of any Imperial City citizen/merchant passing through will not be tolerated. I will personally meet you on grounds of your choosing for an official meeting.

-Amantius Cyronian, Prince of the Crescent Empire

Hegathe

Cartos slammed his fist down onto the table.

“Damn them all, except Daggerfall,” he exclaimed, “Do they not realize what we have to offer?”

“Perhaps,” Derik mused, “Or possibly we simply haven’t tried hard enough.”

“Maybe,” Cartos admitted, “but it bothers me. We know nothing about how their nations work or if there is anything we can do. We have to expand our borders. We must get more people to join us if we hope to survive.”

“What of us not being able to find Stros M’Kai?” Endon asked, puzzled, “Should we have the mages begin looking into that?”

“Perhaps,” speculated Derik, “perhaps we should invite the most senior of them to join our council.”

“A very good idea,” Endon agreed, “but we must not forget about our internal affairs. We have a supply of conundrum. If we are able to find iron as well, we will have all the materials we need to begin producing steel. Not only would this be useful for military affairs, but will give us better equipment.”

“Alright, well then let us accomplish all of this,” Cartos stated as he glanced over to his father and cousin.

 AP

1 AP Hegathe is going to send an agent into Gilane. Upon entering, he will disguise himself among the common folk and learn what he can about the province.

1 AP Hegathe is going to attempt to find iron deposits to mine inside of their province.

1 AP Hegathe is going to send another agent to slip into Wayrest from the ocean side. Upon entering the nation, the agent will attempt to find out what he can about the province.

1 AP Hegathe will begin construction on a Mage’s college in order to spread the learning of magic throughout the lands. As of right now, classes will be based out of a makeshift headquarters.

A forge is constructed.

Work continues on the walls. Work begins on properly fixing major holes in the walls. Before long, the worst of the damage is fixed, and the walls looks (mostly) proper.

Letters arrive from both Lady Nalanye and Lady Elanrine.

Lady Nalanye’s letter is written on scented parchment, and uses a delicate blue ink.

Dear Lady Kariea Athaere,

It is a pleasure to receive correspondence from outside my county’s borders.

I will admit, for some time I have considered reaching out to others. It pleases me that I was not the only thinking such.

In regards to your intentions to opening up trade and diplomacy, nothing would please me more, besides having you personally visit my estate in Sunhold for such discussions. I understand that such a request is far beyond what is permissible at this time in our relations however. So as to show my own goodwill, I would like to send a diplomat to visit Alinor to initiate trade talks.

With Regards, Lady Nalanye Chamaine

Lady Elanrine’s letter is written on simple parchment, with a plain, black ink.

Greetings Lady Kariea Athaere,

It pleases me to have received a letter from beyond my borders. I have kept an ear to the ground in regards to you, since hearing about you claiming Alinor, and I must say, I am impressed. You seem to have an understanding of what’s important.

It would please me greatly if our nations were to open trade and diplomacy. Any diplomats you send will be more than welcome in my county. Please, send a diplomat at your earliest convenience.

Most of the southern portion of Gilane, Hew's Bane (or Hnes Rax) has been renovated into mining territory, as most of the land was already barren, and the damage caused by the mining operations would be mostly minimal. Despite the best efforts of the miners however, the most they've managed to dig up is small deposits of Orichalcum, having yet to discover any major veins of it.

Wayrest, now occupied by Orsimer, has everyone going in and out closely monitored. It would appear that most of the efforts of Wayrest are going to repairing and renovating the ruins of Orsinium.

No new resources are discovered in terms of mining.

The Mage College is built. For now, the building is Meager, but it creates a work environment for new students.

Dragonstar: Dragonstar is ruled by High Chief Urbuil Gastub, an Orsimer.

The agents sent into Bravil report that the cities walls are well constructed, and there are a large number of guards, all Argonian and Khajiit. The city is ruled by King Ukaweek Kaygulus, an Argonian. Men and Mer are treated poorly, and few actually live within the city, mostly inhabiting small farms or villages elsewhere in the county.

Meanwhile, back at the fleet, the fleet is under attack. The transport was mostly ignored, which allows the archers and mages to fire on the actual warships. The warships however, are not. One of them is mostly on fire, and clearly has no survivors. The last signs of fighting is occurring on the final warship. The Crescent Empire’s soldiers are fighting Argonian warriors.

After fighting for another twenty or thirty minutes, a war horn is blown from the shore, and the Argonians flee from the ship.

Afterwards, General Hjalmer and the Master Mage report what had occurred.

Groups of Argonians had swam up beneath the warships, and climbed aboard during the night, while others waited on the banks. When the actual fighting began, fireballs began bombarding a ship, and before long the entire thing was ablaze and unsalvageable. After the first warship was mostly on fire, the Crescent Empire mages figured out what was occurring and begin dedicating their time to putting out the fires.

From there, it was mostly just actual combat between the Argonians and the Crescent Empire Soldiers. Overall the mission was considered a defeat by the majority of those involved. (- 100 Military, and 1 Warship)

Falkreath is under control of one Bur-Deese Canisifon, an Argonian.

Riften is under control of one Lilvalie Black-Briar (Like of no actual relation to the creators of Black Briar mead, as she is a Bosmer)

The Forge is constructed, and ready for use.

County of Evermor

Locations: Evermor

Population: 9800

The agents sent to Jehanna, Farrun, and Wayrest report as follows

Jehanna: Jehanna’s border is entirely closed off; no one is getting in or out by land.

Farrun: Similiar to Jehanna, the border is entirely closed; No one in or out.

Wayrest: Unlike the other two, the borders of Wayrest are open, though closely monitored. Wayrest is ruled by High Chief Gromazkul Bulum, an Orsimer.

Work begins on repairing the roads within Evermor, and before long, the major roads are finished, allowing for faster travel throughout the county.

Work begins repairing the cities wall, and soon the major holes have been filled/covered with wooden spikes/boards.

Aether-Wave Pirates

Locations: Senchal

Population: 7500

Military: 1000

No word has yet been received from the twenty people sent to Soul Rest.

The new government sanctioned skooma production facility is somewhat of a mixed bag. Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, Skooma addiction continues to be a problem within town, however it isn’t as rampant as it could have been. Due to the costs of both the license and the skooma, as well as the extreme attention paid to the Moon Sugar market, illegal Skooma production is extremely low, though not nonexistent. Overall, the best of a bad situation, so far.

Alinor will soon become what it once was at this rate. The Seat and truest symbol of Altmer Power and Influence. The Walls were nearly finished and would be completed this year.

Queen Athaere heads through the city to her palace with Sagelock, her steward in tow, though trying to keep up with her and write in his book was difficult though he managed. “My Lady, The Forge is completed and ready to begin making new armor and weapons for our armory.” he says scribbling in his book

“Excellent work, So what is next on the list Barthir?” she asked as he followed up closer to her side “We still need to begin recruiting and building a proper Barracks, The Walls should be finished this year with at least minimal assigned labor and…” he thinks looking through his notes “Oh and then there are the secondary priorities My Lady. The Roads need reconstruction, the Docks and Shipyard..and then anything else you require.”

Athaere waves her hand dismissively “Get to organizing construction of the Barracks and finishing the walls, and keep up the good work.” she states as he bows his head breaking off and heading elsewhere.

Athaere soon reaches her Palace, the vessel which held the throne and her court. Martial Adus and Councillor Aelsinire awaited her standing at the top of the raised floor near the throne. They turn to her and bow “My Lady Athaere.” they greet in unison. She offers a short gesture “You both being here has saved me time. Martial Adus what do you immediately recommend troops or the Barracks?”

Adus stands his full height “I recommend immediate recruitment for troops, the Forge I hear is ready to begin making Steel for our troops.”

She strides past them and sits on the throne “Go find Barthir and inform him to just focus on the walls repair.” He bows to her then turns to head off. “Councillor I would like you to please head off immediately to Shimmerene to represent me in Lady Elanrine’s Court.”

After her Councillor had left, Athaere stood off the throne and paced taking her exit as she left the city to explore the country side and the beauty that the forests of Alinor held. All creatures and plants were bred for perfection and beauty. The Summerset Isles is a testament to the influence and superiority the Altmer can offer.

He bows and thanks them for their time and leaves. " Elder Maxus stands up and looks toward Lord Snowfist and asks. " Sir I also have a request for you." " Yes Maxus what can i do for you ". Crescent Empire

General Hjalmer was forced to retreat, his tail firmly between his legs. Things had not worked as planned. The Mages had failed to cloak the ships. As a result the ambush had been a costly one. A hundred blades, sailors, and legionnaires lost their lives. As the two remaining warships returned to port, people were dismayed. But more importantly they were angry, and scared. The Bravil army had ambushed an Imperial fleet, brazenly sinking one ship.

It was confirmed however their strength, and mage presence. In normal times the raid would of been shrugged off. But these were shattered times. Prince Amantius, and in fact the whole city, would not let this stand. Not only would it make them look weak, but they had lost family. And so the Imperial City will prepare for it's first war. The Argonians and their lackeys would not be allowed to continue festering.

Immense preparation was needed however, and for now troops are kept at home. Instead logistics will be the issue, making sure every solider has the right supplies. The navy will have to be increased, and a militia levied. Siege equipment and wagons were also needed. And so the city is put into work. Troops march in parades daily, as factories are established. The gears of war being to turn...

The Jerallian High Chiefdom is given an advantageous proposition. They're asked to send troops to aid in the Imperial war. If any sizable amount shows up, the Empire will offer several bounties. For starter any non-human will be considered the chiefdom's slave after victory in Bruma. Alongside that they will be allowed to establish a trade port in both Bruma and Imperial City to expand their silver network. Their troops will be quartered and supplied, and also given a spoil of the loot. Though it is made clear Bruma is for a Crescent conquest not destruction. Any other offers could be made and it's hope the deal is struck.

Queen Aerduin Ivydale looks out over the glorious view from one of the higher places inside the grand tree her people have called home for many years, she had only recently wrestled control of the ancient city from the corrupt and ignorant leaders - their bodies promptly buried far from the tree after having their heads removed from their bodies. Now she is the Queen of Haven, ruler over roughly 5,850 and even a few wood elven mages all of which helped her get to where she was after she rallied the support of the large majority of wood elves and dark elves.

During the first part of her new rule she would have had the damaged and old roads coming out from the base of the tree rebuilt and repaired to proper use as to allow trade to move more easily through the land, next she had a mine opened along the great tree’s roots being careful not to harm said roots as they dig deep into the earth searching for ore. Afterwards, a great forge is constructed carefully outside of the tree which would quickly begin to churn out tools and weapons for the people who are working the wheat farm besides the tree.

Meanwhile, Haven’s walls which were in horrible condition after years of neglect need repairs desperately and need men to man the walls which would be a good distance from the actual tree which itself would be a good defensive position-allowing marksmen to shoot down from its carved openings.

Baznog slammed his fist upon the council table. "High Chieftain! Surely there are better things to be doing than aiding Imperial scum! After all, aren't there plans to take Falkreath? To take the lands our brothers and sisters reside in?" He reeled back into his seat, clearly upset of the idea of humans and orcs fighting side-by-side.

"Chieftain, we mustn't forget how we were even able to take Bruma in the first place. Without strong ties between the Strongholds, we would be powerless right now. And that's why we are allocating a small group of our troops on the war with Bravil." The High Chieftain grunts, grabbing his mug of ale and taking a quick swig. "In the meantime, we will continue to prepare for the surprise siege on Falkreath. It's important that we repair Pale Pass for the coming war and garrison a small camp there for safety and lookout."

The General slumps into his chair, visibly disappointed in the postponement of the War on Falkreath. "Very well, Mazat. I'll set the smiths to work on making some use of all of this silver other than trading. If all goes as you say, High Chieftain, then I doubt there's much in our way to stop us."

The High Chieftain raised himself from his seat with a toothy smile, lifting his mug into the air and the rest of the council making the same motion. "Har-ha! To the war! Those damned lizards won't even know what hit 'em!", the High Chieftain bellows through the Council Room. The rest of the council giving a hearty laugh before downing their ale.

Chiefdom Edicts:

2 AP: Rebuilding the border gates at Pale Pass.

1 AP: Outfitting levies with Silver Arms and Armor.

1 AP: Scouts will scope out the surrounding area for interesting or important locations.

A levy of 300 men is sent south to the Imperial Isle. The commander snorts arrogantly before relaying a message to the Prince;

Good greetings to you, Prince Amantius of the Crescent Empire. I hope this message makes it to you safely. Your request has not fallen on deaf ears, I have sent to you three hundred of my finest men as well as my good friend, Chieftain General Baznog, to seal the deal you proposed. Your requests are more than satisfactory to me and my council. I expect my men to return to Bruma once the battle has been won. These soldiers have been itching for a good fight ever since we took Bruma from those damned Nords.

Hegathe

Cartos walked into the Mage’s College and glanced around all the few students that were gathered there. He nodded in approval before moving on and quickly running into someone.

“Ah, Anton, just the man I was looking for,” Cartos said as he approached a Brenton, who was currently sitting at his desk writing down some script.

Anton glanced an eye up at Cartos and asked “May I help you?”

“In fact, I believe you can,” Cartos stated, “Anton, the council needs you.”

Anton set down his quill back in the ink well and looked up to Cartos, crossing his arms, “Oh, and why is that?”

“Because,” Cartos replied, “We can’t just keep running out country without the advice of the Mages. Now that we’re helping to build the college, more people will undoubtedly come here to study magic, which as you know is a very powerful art.”

Anton sneered “Of course it is, but why should I take my time to come and sit on your council?”

Cartos glared at Anton for a moment, before speaking. “Anton, this is a serious matter. Each day more and more rumors float in. Rumors which, if proven true, could have disastrous consequences in our future. We need the advice and aid of the mages in order to properly run everything and survive. Besides, if we fall, the college alls as well.”

Anton sighed and look off into the distance for a moment, before returning his gaze to Cartos, “So then, when is our next meeting?”

AP:

2 AP Hegathe will be rounding up, domesticating, and training Hammerfell Camels to be used for various purposes around Hegathe.

1 AP Hegathe is going to put more resources into the further construction of the Mage’s College.

1 AP Hegathe is once more sending a diplomat to Gilane in an attempt to open up a diplomatic line of communication with the province. In order to coax Gilane into doing so, a small gift of gold is to be presented to them.

County of Evermore

Kf5Yozw.jpg

Uther stroked his beard pondering on what he should do. He had gotten no news from the spies he had send to the northern provinces except that the borders were closed. Yet discounting that everything was going along properly and he was happy about that. He knew almost nothing about the northern provinces yet if he was smart he could be able to know what their maximum size was. He would send a random man to Markrath and Soltitude to see how far it exerted.

Now if he wanted to take over those provinces he would need to increase his army but he did not feel comfortable that he might get a large manpower deficit.

Then an idea came to Uther. Maybe he could  make sure there were better tools for in the farms so less men were needed to work them and then he could draft those men for the army. Yes that seemed like a good idea and this course of action he would follow.

Actions

2 ap is spent creating more and better tools and methods to work the farms so less manpower is needed for that

1 ap is spent training 250 men for the army

1 ap is spent further fixing up the walls

0 ap a man is sent to the provinces of Solitude and Markrath to see if the borders are closed and if there is more news about Jehhena and Farum
