"Hopefully our people will grow close to each other with time. We're neighboring nations after all. Although...I do wish they would refrain from such unnecessary remarks." Mumbles Guyden Aureon in his off-duty attire, tapping his foot in thought.

I do believe your chieftain must enjoy his flights of fancy if he's told the younger generation he left Ker'nor of his own volition. The original warhawke banishment came after repeatedly fighting against Oren and the Dominion in Vailor, coupled with their black-blooded elder's threats against my wife. This led to a trial, one I knew would end in bloodshed. Sure enough as the trial came closer so too did the dwarven troops and dunamis mercenaries. However the combined forces of Ker'nor, Laureh'lin and Haelun'or drove them off. It was never what I wanted. Rei was my original choice to success me. But it was done and aside from the odd skirmish, I never saw them again. Not until nearly an elven year later since the banishment. When Rei had come to my gates with a pair of human cutthroats that harassed my gates for weeks. The back and forth began anew. But it was when the silent twin had come to me that I began to see more to speak more to the hawkes of old, remissness about more enjoyable times, even letting them in on occasion. But when we had come to Axios and I had given the orders to leave the gates open we were attacked. My pregnant wife dragged out of her home by humans and 'Ker alike. Had our emerald kin not arrived then it would have been a butchering. The Mali'Ame have never forced or asked anything of us, it is why we've remained with them. Nether, besides Art, I don't believe many 'Ame are older than me I remember most of them when they were children. But you Eloras. I must admit, are one of the few hawkes I've spoken to and surprisingly enjoyed. Perhaps you are better at veiling your disgust but by that virtue, you've already taken the steps beyond your previous chieftain. If you wish to speak, hear my words of advice, you are as welcome in Ker'nor and my temple as you were when you resided here.

Ufûr ilzgûl, Dak'ir Des'Nox

Cole scratches his head from the grave, still wondering what insult he ever said. All he recalls is a female guard assaulting him for attempting to leave the city. He'd shrug and roll over on his side.

A self-exiled 'ker does the same somewhere.
