The Holy Orenian Empire 280 Share Posted August 7, 2017 THE IMPERIAL-DOMINION ACCORD, 1623 Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty, the Holy Orenian Emperor, Peter II Sigismund, 20th of The Grand Harvest, 1623. The following pact is one of defence. A ‘defensive pact’ is defined as such: “A military alliance between all signatories below (should the signatures given be that of the respective nations’ leaders, or representatives given the personal approval of said leader) which guarantees defensive aid by all parties should the other party/parties come under threat. Should a rebellion commence in any of the signant’s respective lands where external forces become involved, the original signatories of this document, and not the rebel party, shall earn the support of their counterpart. This military alliance, otherwise, will afford no less than the full, armed support of alliance nations in times of trouble.” I. As stated prior, should the Dominion be aggressed on by any nations or hostile groups, the Holy Orenian Empire will be obliged to come to the aid of the Dominion. Likewise, should the Holy Orenian Empire find itself being aggressed upon by a group with ill intent, the Dominion of Malin will be obliged to come to the aid of Holy Orenian Empire. II. Also, as stated prior, should any rebellions arise in either respective nation of this pact, and external forces become involved, the Holy Orenian Empire and the Dominion of Malin will combine their efforts in order to quell said rebellion as quickly and succinctly as possible. As an example, such external forces may include the orcish horde aiding the rebels, et cetera et cetera. The Dominion of Malin will only aid the signatory of the Holy OrenianEmpire in this treaty, and likewise, the Holy Orenian Empire will only aid the signatory of the Dominion of Malin in this treaty. III. Free trade will be encouraged and allowed between both respective nations, in order to cement relations. IV. Likewise, free travel will be ensured between each nation to any law-abiding subjects and citizens. Reference the next term for explanations of conflicts that may arise. V. Should any minor disputes arise between Dominion of Malin and the Holy Orenian Empire (such as a subject, or citizen acting of their own volition in hostility to the other nation), both signatories will combine their efforts in order to ensure a peaceful end is met. The actions of one or few will not condemn the good intentions of many. a. Should a major crime occur, the offending individual(s) will be given trial in the respective nation that was wronged. If it is wished, an official from the opposite nation may be present as the citizen of their nation is tried.was b. Should an individual from either sovereign nation break the Orenian-Dominion Accord, the sovereign nations of The Holy Orenian Empire, and the Dominion of the Elves will be bequeathed a sum of two years to reconcile the transgression. Past the allotted time, the Orenian-Dominion Accord will be considered null and void. VI. In reference to the prior term, open communication between the differing officially recognized militaries and guard forces of the respective nations of this treaty will be ensured. This will allow for both parties to speak freely, with confidence, in order to better aid each other in the quelling of any threats that may arise internally within each nation. VII. In order to further ensure communication is as transparent as possible between the Holy Orenian Empire and the Dominion of Malin, all agreements (whether trade, military, or otherwise) will be made known to the other nation, at request of said nation’s leader. Such may also be given to officials of the respective nations, with the leader’s consent on the matter. She'd continue walking for a few paces until a thought would occur to her, stopping. "Although, on second thought, they may have just signed up for a war given the Romstun's recent actions." She'd ponder for a few moments before shrugging at this, taking up her walk again. "If a military isn't used then it will grow weaker, anyways.
