       This seems pretty neat; I can see how it would be useful. Quite a bit pricey for the ability however; I'm certain if this ability were bundled together with other potential abilities it would meet the worth of the asking price.

 

       I guess minecraft.net will have to suffice for skin changes; nothing really changing there, isn't 'that' much of a hassle.

holy ****, unless both of you have forgotten there were a **** tonne of vip perks that were removed from the higher tier vip donation perks, god forbid they add more things so that the people who put quite a bit of money into the server are pleased- its not even a huge deal so why complain? i mean **** me dude, should we just tell those who donated for ender and aether that because others cannot use their perks- that they dont deserve ****? come off it

Because for a skin to be used it has to be hashed (Approved) by Mojang's servers and so what they do is have an account that acts as a bit of storage account in away where all the skins go through. The problem is Mojang basically only allows you to change your skins a few hundred times per hour before they just stop you. Meaning the whole function would break under heavy load if a lot of players just switched back and forth and once it breaks everyone would be stuck for awhile. Here is the explanation as to why this can't be on more ranks for those who don't read the whole thread. 

 

In addition, why complain about something that has no effect on you or your experience? It's a waste of everyone's time to do so honestly. 

 

The higher ranks have been almost completely stripped of their rewards since the EULA fiasco, so props to the devs for putting out the effort for those folks. Anyone who cares enough about LotC and has the means to donate that much deserves these upgrades.

I'm saying this out of personal interest. I lost so many perks, I didn't donate solely for the perks but it's nice to get something nice seeing as I paid half a grand on a minecraft server.

saying this as a higher ranked donater I believe they should add more skin storage to the higher ranks as well as bring gold as the lowest tier that gets one.

Not sure why people are kinda upset over a feature? Is it kinda dumb for how pricey it is? Sure. 

Does it actually affect you? Probably not. Change skins has never been easier within recent months. Open Launcher, go to the skin tab, browser your skins, select the skin you need, save it. Relog ingame(cuz you can keep the game open while having the launcher open which takes up almost no resources if I remember correctly). Bam, easy.

I believe sporadic said earlier that this wasn't the case or something to that effect earlier in the thread somewhere.
