The Grand Election

 

 It is by the will of his Majesty, Abdessamad I, and his Right Honourable Prime Minister, Horace Thassarion, that the first elections for the chamber of Parliament are to commence.

 

 

It has been decided, that the Capital and the Duchy of Mystra, will attend the ballot box first. This is due to their sizeable populations.

 

 

In order to enter these elections, the candidate, must signal their intent for candidacy. It must be declared via a speech and letter to the Prime Minister ((Posted on the forums or below)).  They will then be inducted onto the ballot papers, which are to be distributed across their respective constituencies. The Candidate, must be a citizen of Santegia, and serious about the role in which they wish to undertake. Do not forget to state which area of the Capital or Mystra you are from. Whether it be one of the numerous Marches, or counties of Mystra.

 

 

The Election shall be held within five Saint’s days. The five day grace period, permits candidates to campaign in any lawful means. Election results shall be revealed two saint’s days after the election.

To The Right Honourable Horace Thassarion, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Santegia

My name is Lucerys Snowborn, A Mali'fenn.
I would like to inform you of my interest in the candidacy for the chamber of the Parliament.

When giant crabs attacked San Adrian's shores, We risked our lives to stop them; Everyone contributed, including a princess, to stopping the giants.
I wanted to make a change then, To demand better protection for the shores, and better oversight from the rest of the guards. It was unacceptable for the lives of the citizens to be risked in such a way due to the lack of proper sea defense; I simply had no authority to act. But as a member of the parliament that changes.  My words will be closer than ever to his majesty. There are several things i want to raise to his grace, King Abdessamad the first of his name, to ensure that the city's needs are met day in and day out across these lands.

If elected,

I promise to give my all to my elected position and make sure your issues and concerns are fully addressed at the Parliament meetings.
I will continue to fight for justice, transparency, & equality for our great kingdom.

 

As Lucerys finishes writing the speech, He puts the quill back to the ink before wrapping the letter in an envelope & sending it to the prime minister.
