A Beacon in the Twilight

[!] Vulnir Syllar stands before Arin and a group of staunch loyalists, he’d clear his throat before passionately delivering the following words:

A Beacon in the Twilight:

A Thesis on the Silver State of Haelun'or

& A Plea to those of the Dominion

The state of our peoples is unacceptable and will be tolerated no longer. For too long, families of the High Elf and all kin have trusted the ‘Silver State’ to guide and protect them. Yet, it is these people whom have suffered under the ruthless reign of dictators disguising themselves as councilmen working for the betterment of our race. They deem themselves pure in mind and body, far purer than you or I, and state that this allows them to disappear a daughter here, a son there. ‘We were chosen’ these council members and Maheral say. Chosen for what one might ask? Chosen to oppress and slaughter their citizens? Chosen to lead the state of our kin into a state of darkness?

This twilight that has befallen us, as well as our cousin races, can be attributed to poor choices made by rich men. War rests on the horizon, a war in which each of our kin and their kin are told by Emperors of a different race that they  have but one choice, fight or die. We are often lured into a sense that we are powerless to the powerful, but it is the duty of our noble races to ever so often question this feeling.

We must bring the change we want, for none else will. It is our duty to shed off this twilight and become a beacon to those seeking whatever they’ve lost to the ruling of man and power hungry rulers. We shall not sit and watch our state become decrepit, nor shall we happily watch the lands of our brothers seized by the hand of man.

We must attempt to fight the past for the future, for change is not like an apple that falls when ripe, we must reach out and take it.

Arin, the young high elf stands silent as he watches Vulnir speak. Though Arin wouldn't express himself openly, he agreed with every last word his fellow kin spoke and was ready to fight for what he believed in. His people needed change if they were to survive.

The feels when your music choice got copied.

Varen shrugs,”This protestor won’t make a difference. They never do.”

Arin arches a brow before whispering to the man as to not call for any attention;

"I think it's more then just a protest. . ."

"It's almost as if nobody could lead it competently except for myself. Now silence yourself before I beat you, Berr."
