Fall of the Enchantry

A cloaked figure would be looking upwards at a large and powerful mass of enchanted crystal, an unstable highly sought device that kept the keep of the Enchantry afloat for many years. Suddenly the sound of straining metal would screech as the devices suspension was halted, the chains holding it for a minute before snapping, just enough time for the cloaked figure to make their escape.

 

The crystal mass would smash into the ground as it collapsed through the floor, an explosion of mixed color aura seering out of it as the main tower detonated and collapsed inwards. Soon, the entire keep would capsize as it would begin its slow fall down to the realm where it belonged, a loud eery sound in the distance before the large keep hit the ground below. An eruption of dirt, stone, and dust would fly high into the sky as the entire isle of Tahn was rumbled harshly, the shockwave being less powerful the further east it travels from the western mountains. The cloaked figure would stand rather far from the crash site as he looked over the destruction, turning to leave the snowy wastes.

 

Far and wide,
Enchantry members who once resided in the keep and anyone who might be in possession of the Enchanters Pendants would feel the enchantments imbued in the pendents suddenly fade, the wisps of energy flickering away as its use was no more.

The Grand Enchantress was suddenly roused from her nap by a noisy disturbance- a loud rumbling sound and the entire keep shaking as through caught in the middle of an earthquake. Glancing out from her room window, the elfess' eyes went wide as she witnessed the first tower collapsing and crashing into the lake below. "Oh.. dear. I should have expected this. Seems they've forgotten me." She muttered, having no time to escape before the rest of the building suddenly gave way and tumbled into the mass of water.

While surviving, the mage was severely injured as a result of this catastrophe. She'd wash up on shore, completely unconscious with a large gash across her face and a few broken ribs. It would take her a long while to fully recover.
