Tbh, with items taking less time to make and gear not mattering that much at all, Rp'ing your professions will be much easier now, because people will care and participate instead of grind!

Just because we're scrapping Nexus doesn't mean we're done making plugins. It'll likely be much easier to make all the old fun plugins again now that maintaining an increasingly unbalanced system is no longer the main concern of the techs.

I liked the depth that Nexus gave where better gear influenced wars. That was a major reason for why people would fear the Dwarves or even the War Nation because of the goblins. Though now it will just be all about who has better numbers and luckier treb rolls. I know that the decision won't be reconsidered but I hope that this will pave the way for a better replacement in the future. Feel free to quote me in six months but:

Vanilla will be boring and people will miss a system like Nexus.

yeah nexus made this server uniquely trash. now that it's gone we can have decent PVP again, less grinding, less item hunger, and more fun.

Ever since nexus, PVP for me went to 'Something I'm not interested in' to the negitive fun. Nexus made pvp completely uncompetitive.

In a different thread, someone mentioned that Nexus crafting forces people who don’t like Nexus to grind for hours just to do OK in PvP, while Vanilla crafting will only force people who don’t like Vanilla to mine for 20-30 minutes to get the best gear.
