The Despot of Holm, in his goodness and generosity, does open the Market of Holm to the wide and general public in the name of Armakak, so that his divine self may be pleased, and does declare an Armakka in his honor.

 

The date of this festival is at the end of this stone week, on the fifth stone hour of the day (5pm EST, Saturday April 7).

Citizens and denizens from all round the realm are invited to bring their wares and set up their stalls, free of tax, tariff, and regulation of good, under the Despot’s patronage, grace, and protection. All merchants are welcome, and festivities, revelry, and wine shall accompany the market.  

 

By the Despot’s grace, many fine Holmiote goods shall be made available including: those items which are runic in nature, those items which are magical in nature, those items which are mechanical in nature, and those items which are alchemical in nature. The selection shall be the first of its kind open to the public in Atlas and presents a rare opportunity to observe and potentially buy such exquisite goods from the expertly craftsmen of Holm.

 

A Holmiote Brigadier

 

By the Despot’s grace, the Despot’s Iron Brigadiers will provide protection for the travelers, revelers, merchants, and wanderers who shall come into Holm. A warning is issued to those who sow conflict and violence in this city, and to those who aim to come as menaces: the Despot expressly prohibits such activities and his Brigadiers will take all measures to swiftly and decisively deal with any such intruders. An especial note should be taken for those violent witches, wiccans, apparitions, and other such abominations which attempt to make their presence felt in Holm during this time of sacred celebration: any creatures of blasphemy found within the Silver Hills shall be burned publicly and annihilated. Any sympathizers of blasphemy, meaning those who are not abominable in nature but aid those things which are abominable in nature, shall be hung by their necks from the city walls and annihilated. Travelers need not fear, for much precaution has been taken by the kind Despot of Holm, his Excellency Dorin Irongut, for their safety as his guests.

 

By the Despot’s grace, games and shows shall be put on open display at the city square, including but not limited to: dancing bears, jesters, minstrels, shows of magic, tellings of stories, and theatre.

By the Despot’s grace, the following tournaments shall be played in his name. Betting and gambling are encouraged:

 

Melee at the Arena: A great melee shall be held at the Despot’s Arena in his honour. The winner shall receive 500 minas and a pair of golden laurels. The runner-up shall receive 200 minas.

 

Joust at the Fields: A joust shall be held at the fields of Holm as tribute to the Consuls. The winner shall receive 500 minas an an engraved ring of beryl. The runner up shall receive 200 minas.

 

Duel at the Academy: A series of magical duels shall be held in the Academy of Holm in the name of the exalted People of Holm. The winner shall receive 500 minas and an enchanted staff of aurum. The runner up shall receive 200 minas.

 

Archery on the Mountains: An archery contest shall be held in the Twin Peaks, on behalf of all the guests in Holm for the Armakka. The winner shall receive 200 minas. The runner up shall receive 100 minas.  

 

The Despot does extend his generous invitation and encourages persons of all respectable creeds, ethnicities, and nationalities to come and attend.
