Changes in the Rules!

Hello everyone!

I would like to notify everyone that a few rules were edited while a couple more were added.

The edits on the current rules are:

  • The raiding party may initiate 3 attempts of lockpicking/breaking in/thievery, with a maximum of three rolls per attempt.
  • The victor may choose to revive knocked out players following the end of combat. (/d40ing to avoid being captured once downed is not allowed).
  • You must have sufficient role-play leading up to mechanics-combat. The attacker must be close to the person they wish to attack and emote trying to stop them. (Halting alone is not sufficient role-play, emoting blocking their way//tackling them after halting is). You must /countdown 10 once mechanics combat is agreed upon both sides. Both sides must be ready for the countdown to begin.
  • Failing To Uphold Treaty Terms MAJOR -> MINOR

The new additions are:

  • In order for a player to spectate a raid (/status recording), the player must be at the general area of the raid and already statused before the PvP begins. While with status recording, the player may not try to interfere with the PvP at all. (Let it be reviving/blocking arrows/place blocks or supply items).
  • If you die during a raid, you may not return the the settlement while the raid is occurring. You must wait for the raid to be over in order to return.

If anyone wishes to suggest another edit or addition to the rules, they may always PM me on Discord. (Ioannis#0001)

What if you're spectating and accidentally block an arrow. Had people run behind me before using me as a meatshield. Don't wanna take a ban for something that dumb while I'm afk.

Spectators shouldn't  be able to take loot from the combat neither.

I would like clarity on lock picking because right now the way the rules are written if I'm bashing at a door and I roll a 4 I suddenly cannot bash the door I would also like clarity on on person rolling (i.e it doesn't count as a raid if it's just 1 guy) as they have no limit for number of rolls righy now. Lastly if you have to roll to do minor damage to a free build can a set roll number be agreed on please? That's all have a good one

Ha no discord

@Ioannis I would like clarification on a rule that I have been told to be true by a GM. So if raiders are attempting to do lock-picks and they successfully roll high enough to unlock, say a wooden door, does that roll count against their 3 total rolls for that person? Also, do you have to emote for each roll or can you just emote trying to break down a door and do 3 rolls, or do you have to emote for each roll?

This is bad. A place like sutica is unraidable because they have 27 iron doors. You're not simply gonna stop after banging at something 3 times, much less a war-party.

Halls which consist of more than two iron doors should only count as one lockpick. It's a spit in the face when people make a hall with ten iron doors and have them all locked, if people like this are going to play dirty and stretch the rules to hide under, then the rules should pull the carpet from under their feet and force them to face the music.
