April Monthly Update Log

 

 

 

Aplogies for the lateness of this update log.

We are looking for GMT members of the team, so if you are most active during this time and would like to apply, now is the best time.

 

New Player Data

 

This month the race with the most new players was once again humans following with elves soon after. The percentages are as follows with new human players taking 49.6%, with elves taking 33.5%, dwarves taking 7.6%, orcs taking 5.4%, halflings taking 2.7%, and kharajyr taking 1.3%. There is still a common theme of less subraces being chosen unless playing an elf. The current most applied to subrace is once again wood elves with 33.3%. Please refer to the graphs below for more data.

 

Last month our number of applications continued to rise with 374 total applications! The acceptance rate for April is 62.6% and our denied rate 37.5%. This is almost the exact total of last month. Most of our new players are once again American players this month, with the total percentage or 63%. European players follow afterwards with 32% and Oceanic players with 5%.

 

 

Member Alterations

 

This month we have once again grown as a team and are eager to move forward together in the next upcoming months. We have the loss of Aelsioln, Drone414, and MrMineLoveDude. We wish them well on their journey’s throughout LoTC.  We also have _Jandy_ stepping down from his managerial position and Torkoal_Tom rising up into the managerial position! We have added no new member this month.

 

Team Data

 

This month with the rising of applications has been even more productive than last month. We have had a lot of movement in wandering soul chat and in new player discord due to this productivity and we couldn’t be prouder. This month’s king of quota is MickMeist once again! He was followed close after MyLittleUnicorn and Lumiin.

 

 

Additional Information

 

Currently our projects have taken a shift as we remove the New Player Discord for a project. It is now an ongoing lifestyle and running smoothly, we encourage all players to join but are looking for stewards and nation leaders especially at the moment. The ongoing projects we currently have is the revamping of the Tailor’s Guild and the New Player Application Video, in which we are currently looking for a reader PM Cosmetology if interested (BritBritt#1506).

On another note, it'd be interesting to see retention statistics. I do remember Squirt made a thread way back a year ago or so about short-term and long-term retention (new players staying for more than a week, and more than a month).

Whichever you think best. But it's a topic that was brought up in community meeting and something people really appreciated when Squirt did it.

 

And in all honesty, you do know we've quite the related arguments between races out there that'd be settled if those statistics were included.

As I asked last month, could you please create additions to the graphs so the data is divided between guest accounts and ones whom applied to the forums first? If you have refrained because you don't know how to do this, I advise asking help from Lego_XBOX who originally created the data sheet. 

Also the Tailor's Guild has been being "revamped" since I was still AT Director. << If I may ask, what are you guys doing differently with it?

Other than that, these overall numbers are impressive- good job AT members and the Dev team.
