I really liked the parts of nexus that were privy only to individual players who knew the dev responsible for implementation. Like when a guy somehow completely coincidentally got the recipe for a +100 attack potion in game and used it for failrp and pvp murder

Avalier stated back in 2011 that lotc players need something else to do besides rping. 

 

They added vaq skills AND it was great. 

 

Lotc needs a skills plugin, players quit cause they are bored.

Every game has some sort of level system in terms of professions with rewards and such. So uh yep I want Nexus.

Your poll results are neck to neck. When bringing back Nexus is a decision between upsetting one half of the playerbase or the other half, I'll pick the one that's less work.

 

@Man of Respect it's time for you to face reality. These daily "Bring Back Nexus" status updates aren't getting us anywhere. Perhaps if you start identifying specific parts of Nexus you liked some coder will be able to bring those into the game for you without having to upset half of LotC.

I saw your post on the forums explaining why Nexus can't come back and that's fully understandable, or else I'd still be continuing with the daily status update. I'm glad you called me dedicated and also the fact that you recognise, to an extent, the willingness of a parcel of the playerbase to have Nexus back, and also I agree that upsetting half the players isn't a good choice either. I do not intend to flame anyone. When I saw the post I was like "whew, k, frowny face :("

 

Although, I can surely try to come with an alternative to Nexus because it isn't exclusive that a healthy economy essentially should have Nexus, and most of the complaints seem to come from the issues with grinding and not the crafting status of Nexus. I'm sure I can work out something with my friends and the community to try to come to an acceptable level.

 

Also, I think that Nexus was great nowadays but I didn't enjoy back then. Here, I will think of something and present it to you once I can gather my thoughts, suggestions and arguments for it. I'm glad you took your time to write a reply.
