WALDENFEST, 1686

Issued and confirmed by his Lordship, the Baron of Arnheim, Ser Hans of the House of Rovin, 9th of Horen’s Calling, 1686.

 

TO ALL PEOPLES OF WALDENIC BLOOD,

 

It comes with great pleasure and pride that I write to you, for I have reclaimed which rightfully belonged to our peoples.

 

Though some may know me from my notorious exploits about the Kaiserreich, it is understandable that many still do not. I shall not elaborate on my lineage in great detail, for, in the modern day, the Waldenic concept of marriage has so greatly devolved that there would be no point to delve deep into the prospect of family trees. Innobled for many a year, Rovins have procreated outside of traditional means. A true Waldenian would understand that this process can be traced back to Das Goo Theorie issued by the legendary Waldenic Philosopher, herr Edward von Spivey. Regardless, to quell accusations of being illegitimate, I shall attempt to elaborate my origins.

 

I am Hans Rovin, first of his name. My father was Anton Rovin and I his latest born son. As it stands, there remains no other acknowledged Rovin from the main line to carry on the legacy of our people nor have they, if my kin existed, worked for the betterment of our people and the safeguarding of our principles in the capacity that I have.

 

Had I sought power and prestige, I would have assembled an army. Had I sought the Crown of Waldenia, I would have waged wars. What I have sought, however, was the rightful return of property and titles to those of Waldenic origin. In my efforts, I have reacquired Radom, or Neu Arnheim, as well as the title of Vanderfell.

 

Thus, I invite those of Waldenic descent to attend Waldenfest. It shall be a congregation and symbolic celebration of our people’s unity. I seek not vows of loyalty, nor do I seek to establish a new kingdom. Instead, we shall be merry and drink until dawn.
