Land Auction Annoucement

@SeventhCircle The shape of CT is something that can clearly lead a player towards a specific road, I hope you can build something neutral on that aspect (For example in Atlas the most of the new players go south and not north) and the other thing that worries me is roads, in the map that you showed some nation plots seem rather isolated while others have direct access to them from CT.

All have a somewhat similar travel distance on the roads from spawn.

@SeventhCircle

How can the Dominion or Nordengrad get a land auction and not Gladewynn? We’ve spent weeks collecting mina and raising activity of our city to get into the auction. Anyone can attest to the massive presence of elves within our playerbase. We’d like to, as one of the major (if not largest) concentration of elves, bid on where we’re going to be for the next year.

I think what he means is like, if the road out of the cloud temple is facing one way or the other, it affects people’s choices. Though I assume that there is like, some sort of cross-roads within the cloud temple.

Because whoever created your activity region made it the size of a thumbtack. This mistake wasn’t noted till Heathen noticed it during our staff meeting today. Since we can’t prove it on the same standard as all other groups we just have to wait and let the data be recorded.

No offence but why should a potential nation or large playerbase be penalised for a mistake that wasn’t their’s.

Or do you mean that they’ll potential be added to the people able to bid when data is collected?

I have a question, what do you need to do when you form a group or minor nation in 7.0 and want lands?

I think you’d have to make a charter

Could you please explain that? I don't really know how the charter system works

So you mean Asulon tier?

Edit: Why is Nordengrad on the maybe list?

Remove them. Now.

I think it’ll work like how it did in Axios, where you make an application to get land on the forums, get a few people to sign the thread, and then pay minas for the land to complete the transaction.

The following groups are either to close for us to cut outright or fall under strange circumstances and will be invited to participate in the first week and will be rechecked before bidding starts to see if they are fully confirmed.

Shouldn’t Gladewynn fall under this category? They’ve been one of the most active player groups recently and failed because of a circumstance out of their control.

Well technically Gladewynn gets the Dominion bidding, so all is well in the world

Why. Just why. I know I can’t have a bias, physically incapable of it nowadays but, why are we selling land for Minae? And secondly, why even have this stupid system, to begin with, I know, it sucks, but I don’t like how we are “selling lands off because rich people rule.” It is not a healthy system, and it won’t have a great chance of flying well in the future. Charters are not bad, but SELLING LAND is not alright, Seventh, I love you, buddy... it is not too late to change the system for a second round, this system is unfair and unkind to those that honestly have not been able to vote or something else, I know it is a way to curve down on activity. But there is literally a counter ticking telling about the activity. Let nations settle themselves instead of taking useless Minae that won’t even be carried over and using them.

Here is a better system in my opinion; A nation gets to pick a single tile on the map nothing more, then minor and major groups get to do the same, but remain hidden, because, I FORGOT TO SAY, Minor none-nations will not get anything in this system, meaning groups that thrive off of hiding outside of empires and kingdoms get majorly thrown under the table by this, so please fix that, now back to my proposal. You hand nations max one tile, minors and major one nation one tile, and then you keep free-building for the future, keep it locked from the start of course, but release it later once real rules and regulations are formatted and made.

All of this will come for free, no costs involved, you would just need to be active on a daily basis. Sounds simple right?

I have faith in you and your team Seventh, but you must remember that listening to the people and not just making stupid decisions an rules, going back on failed systems, and just generally using common sense is in order. Just in general you know. :

I thought free build had a chance, but people can't handle it when you don't regulate it properly, I know people are focusing on other things, but it is a real kicker that keeping it unregulated and around will fly with everyone, the system needs drastic changes, in my opinion, maybe having it be that you need to set up in roleplay and planned out, then sending the screenshots to a
WD or GM would do, but the regard stands. If you are not going to change the broken system, don’t keep it, simple as that. Though all of you lovely people likely knew that already, do me proud, you have options, very obvious options too.

This is not meant to really spark a debate or argument, this is just my opinions and things I think would be better.

With lots of love, Jondead.

The Auction is solely for Nations to have a system for determining who gets which plots. Since we have a limited amount of them we needed some system for settling disputes instead of having people flip coins or have wcs over it. As I said in the freebuild/Charter your view post we have every intention of implementing a system for the little guys. This auction is purely just for nations to get their tiles sorted out. And really any group that qualifies for land will get land there’s more of it then there are nations so it’s not used to weed people out just as a prioritizing tool for picking from the limited pool. Nations only get one plot as well.  Hope that addresses your concerns somewhat
