BROTHERS AND THEIR FEUDS

From the Office of the Archchancellor

It is apparent to the Crown that over the past saints days the Duchies of Curon and Adria have failed to see the unity which GOD and Emperor Aurelius ushered into the Empire of Man. Sloth shall be stamped out, decadence shall be combatted. Like siblings who argue incessantly with their parents, it is apparent now more than ever that there is only one course of action.

It is with this in mind that His Imperial Majesty Emperor Augustus I of House Horen, whom we may all consider the Father of our Empire, that the feuding brothers shall meet on open field to put an end to their strife.

It is of the utmost importance to note that this is not a condoning of hostilities outside of this Field. This is not an allowance of raids, going to one another's Lands to harass each other or anything in relation to the aforementioned actions.

In one saints week (SUNDAY Feb 3rd , 3pm EST), the levies of the Duchy of Curon and Adria shall meet on the field.

We are the Empire of Man. Man has come together in order to defend against outside powers, those with mal-intent and those who purposefully break the Laws of GOD and Man. Therefore, there shall be no use of mercenaries, bandits and or foreign influences. This is a matter that has occurred between Brothers and shall be settled between Brothers. Any failure to meet His Imperial Majesty Emperor Augustus I of House Horen’s demand shall be met with swift and immediate action.  If either party sought aggression or decided to act hostile towards one another, then it is expected that they have the strength and ability from within to back up these hostilities.

The reliance or need for mercenaries, those not sworn to the Emperor, those who are sworn to outside powers or otherwise is an offense of the highest degree. Those who write of sloth or decadence should have no reliance or need for these outside efforts. It only goes to show hypocrisy, their own sloth and ill-preparations.

After the skirmish the feud shall put to rest and the losing Party will give up a relative to the Duke for marriage to the winning Party.

So His Imperial Majesty Emperor Augustus I of House Horen declares, and it is in his wisdom and grace given to the Crown from GOD that the Empire of Man shall be stronger and more productive than before.

IN NOMINE DEI

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Augustus I of the House of Horen, Emperor of Man, King of Renatus, Marna, Mardon, Salvus, Seventis, Savoy, Courland, Santegia, and Norland, Duke of the Crownlands, Cascadia, Avar, and Frederica, Count of Carolustadt, Alamar, Frederica, Thesmer, Thelen, Lorath, and Cantal, Baron of Darkwood, Gravelhold, Fidei Defensor, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, Farfolk, etcetera.

His Imperial Excellency, the Lord Archchancellor of the Imperium & Nuncio of the Church of the Canon,

Mister Edward H. Morris, esq.

A queen of old would sigh, reclined in an creaking chair as she observed the refurbishment of the withered manor in which she resided. Her steely gaze would trail over to a nearby worker, a slight smirk creeping onto her lips.

“John Owyn would have brought both leaders before him and issued his demands himself. Men don’t listen to paper, good sir. They must be shown the way in person, or be punished for misbehaving.”

Little Anastasya Bihar would hear of the business whilst strolling about St. Karl’s Square with her father, tilting her head in confusion.

“Our cousins are fighting the Staunton-folk? Didn’t we...do that already?” She’d look down with a frown, deciding not to think on the subject any further or dwell on long-past history.

“Well, ****.” The elf grunted bitterly. “Guess I’ll pull a Fenn and stay neutral.” With that, she went back to pleasantly envisioning the gory demises of her snelven enemies.

“When do people learn Curonia is not governed by Staunton?” A man of Curon frowns.

“When the Stauntons stop governing it.” replied Ted.

Oszkar Tuvic would hear upon the news as he’d slowly make his way back to Adria.

“Y guess it jest time for y to dav back to fig’t with my kin... my brothers in Adria.”

Charles Halcourt still sick and not able to fight with his fellow Curonic people would let out a cough before speaking.

“It is all up to GOD now.”

Ser Henrik Otto Ludovar chuckles

“This should be interesting to see..”
