The map transition occurred very unexpectedly off-course to what was planned. The Administration is currently investigating what is going on, we will provide further updates soon. In the meantime, we can meme about what on earth is going on.

 

Current briefing is Llir needed to take the server down for technical work but instead of doing /devmode he desired some kind of event which is what we’ve got now.

 

 

I apologize, we will provide further comment once we figure out more of the story.

staff communication is a mess, and this is a good fire to light so that actual change is met now, not later. This could’ve been avoided with an ounce of planning and communication. If people cannot be reached or communicated to, they shouldn’t be staff.

First massive thing Ive done besides a war claim and i have to say the plot was alright but the way they did it disappointed me a lot.

is there a possibility that some of the errors are related to the server limit for the “War” server being 10 people, instead of the 200 needed?

Well you don’t need to investigate when the admins were the one instigating it. Llir arrived late and found that the admins already started the event by winging it. The admins then went forward to basically wing the entire storyline instead of waiting for xarkly. What I don’t understand is why the admins couldn’t DELAY the events for a couple days instead of going forward with the event based on some pre-existing notion that players were going to be mad. Like jesus ******* christ how dense could you be. To top it all of, the ET weren’t even notified about this event, instead handing it off to some admins who weren’t even FAMILIAR with server lore and went forward with an attitude of disrespect to the people who worked on the Vaeyl storyline.

In other words, instead of just having us make the journey to the wall and open the door, and just go in and wait for tomorrow for Xarly – some people decided it was a lovely time for a PVE event and the spawning of Vaeyl mobs that would take at least 8 players to take down 1 Vaeyl mob, and the mass spawning caused the lagging and disconnection. Then have multiple disconnections during the transfer to the Serrimor Transition map and leave us there with no equipment and food, and our characters now trapped in a frozen wasteland.

 

As someone who actively took part in the Vaeyl Eventline. So much lore was broken, so much bloody lore!

The Red Vaeyl shouldn’t have even attacked, they would be waiting at Serrimor for us.

The mists shouldn’t have been mists, they were meant to be the smokes of the smoke drake, Avendal.

 

ET wasn’t aware? Then they should have got in contact with Xarkly when he was awake and asked for the details of how he wanted to go. Not take the reins and go – sure, lets just do what we want.

 

SO congratulations – you messed up one of the amazing eventlines I got to take part in and I feel so sorry for Xarkly when he wakes up and sees this.

People worked on the transition map for months and it was ruined because they couldn’t wait a few hours. I held out hope that the server could change for the better for the last 6 years and now I wouldn’t be surprised if I left the server over this.
