Hannibal, bundled underneath a cloak, makes his way to Adria. Seeing the burning mess, and the piles of smoldering bodies, his heart dropped. "A fool to slaughter his own people. Innocent lives lost. I was right. They truly are barbarians. If by some chance God could smite the emperor, it should be now."

“To applaud an Emperor that took the lives of innocent women and children deems a man fit to burn in hellfire. Those who follow sheepishly behind such a cowardly man are nothing but craven themselves.” A farmer comments to her brother, aware of the crimes against humanity so casually displayed by Antonius. “Now the Adrian refugees will populate cities not as boring, lackluster and culture-vacant as that of Helena, named after someone terribly irrelevant, it seems.”

Sun Watanabe escaped the crumbling city with his few belongings stowed in a travel bag, clutching two infants to his chest as he ran past Legionnaires swinging recklessly at anything Adrian. He looked back on the carnage and flames, disgusted. ”This isn’t justice...” he’d mutter before hurrying down the road.

Connor is silent as he escorts Adrian refugees away to safety. He isn't the slightest bit shocked or even disgusted. To be so he would have to expected something more than the cowardly inbred Horen bastards who would gladly stomp on innocent defenseless citizens to fuel their own ego.

For but a brief moment, Ser Aldis Chase wonders if this was the right thing to do. Wether or not burning an entire city was just. He then quickly reminds himself of the countless of treacherous acts Adria has been found guilty of, all the times they disrespected The Crown. With a fist pressed against his heart he chants. "Ave Imperium!"

“You’re irrelevant, also everybody was escorted out of the city, the Emperor himself gave strict orders to not attack civilians and to ensure they were not in the buildings. I myself spent my time escorting people out of the city so I do not know where you have picked up this lie that innocent women and children were killed, they were not. Were you even there?” asked Archbishop Zachery.

“They will victimise themselves once again, these Adrians. Yet the world so easily forgets their harbouring of killers and mercenaries, and Paul's inability to cleanse his city of those men. They attack the Privy member of His Majesty's council, they speak cruelly and harshly of the Crown that they then demand respect from.” Amelia Philippa reclines in her chair, peering down at the city beneath the Palace.

They plead themselves as vassals, yet no loyalty ties their heart to the Crown. Ave Imperium.

“Yes he did. He said to hunt the various norlanders, seven sons and bandits who was in the city when they first arrived... he also said to spare the citizens. Yourself being one of the norlanders who hastily fled the city when Renatus arrived, would not of seen this.” said Archbishop Zachery as he recalls the various bandits in Adria and then the different leaders telling people not spare the citizens.
